People is missing the point. Is not a scooter, is not a sports bike, and is not even a cruiser, it is a Concept Bike made available to the public. Thumbs up to Honda for taking risks when no other company is doing it.
Hmm, doesn't go fast, doesn't handle very well, can't do wheelies, not very comfortable, can't carry any luggage, expensive, has a giant lump of bodywork globbed on by the handlebars. I think the sort of people that are considering buying one of these should try out a conventional motorcycle and see what they're missing first.
I have these questions: 1) Why can't it just be a motorcycle that looks like a motorcycle but has an automatic transmission? 2) Why can't it have a bigger motor so it can cruise at high speeds at comfortable RPMs? 3) Why can't it have storage space? People who take cruises on a bike need to carry things along with them. 4) Why does it cost so much? 4) Why can't there be another brake lever where the clutch isn't? 5) How fast will it go? Will it cruise at 80 comfortably?
wohw! guys do you have to fight for every thing metric-imperial wtf... use which ever ya want.. that days are not far wen only two ppl will be fighting wit comments and rest of em come to cheer and bet sayin fight fight fight fight..sheesh....peace amigos peace.
So, if you're over 5'9" tall you're not going to be comfortable? Seems like Honda made this cross over to encoruage women to take the step up from scooter to big bike.
cant complain...metric is the official international system. you wouldnt complain if you did not understand english would you? then cant complain if you dont understand metric, its your fault
@egkd No, Canada doesn't use it, the U.S doesn't use it, Australia doesn't use it. Even the United Kingdom who "adopted" the metric system still mostly use the imperial system.
Billions of people don't use metric. So think before you say "the whole world" LOL
@EliteSlayer542 you retard, instead of you write dumb comments, you should learn how to use the international system, its not too difficult, really. anyways all the researchers, engineers (even in the U.S.) use this beacuse of its simplicity, and yeah, europe+south america+asia+africa are totally wrong, there are only idiots, and of course you're right... hahaa, funny guy ;)
If theres any hardcore bike folk reading this. Could you modify the seat, seat fit and where you rest your feet to sit as if youre on a sportbike? Thanks
looks like a fantastic bike. only downside is the very upright seating position and cruiser style footrests (more fwd), which could be uncomfortable on long trips. I know cruisers are MEANT to be more comfortable, but I find that leaning forward a bit disperses your weight pressure from the seat to your hands and feet
today I went to the bike shop to buy gloves and saw this long completely black bike, which I haven't see before. I got up to the bike to see what it is and fell inlove instantly, it looked even better close up. Now that I've seen the video about it and now know what it's capable of I love it even more and most probably will buy one in the future. Excellent Idea - superb Honda!
WHy the FUCK do they overprice everything good that comes out thats nice????????Its a beautifully engineered bike if they'd just bring the price down to a good say $8000 they''d mass produce these.....but im guessing these people are either scared to take a shot at there budget investing or they want to be poor with there one of a kind bike!* This bike is overpriced because the mind that developed the idea for the automatic thinks of his idea as above the manual...which is quite foolish*

hoorible bike made for you, stupid americans
Honda says, made a custom-chopper-future-v engine-expensive and sale it in US market where only for gansta negro look stupid americans buys this bike !!
Thumbs up for Honda, sales shit in US and the US buy it
My thought are for 15k, hell you might as well get a sport touring bike with more horses and saddlebags. For 15K this thing does'nt even have power outlets or heated grips, nothing!! I do give Honda thumbs up for effort.
The automatic transmission is a fun idea and worthy to be explored (if one want's an old people or nerd-bike ;-). But I don't get this design in particular: Too big and heavy for a Citybike, too uncomfortable riding position and no solution for luggage, so it's not a Tourer either... anyone here who want's to try it on the racetrack? :-)
I'm a Honda guy! I think they make great bikes and I really like that they are taking a chance with this one. I hoped I would get used to the looks but I haven't. It's just plain fugly! It's way expensive too. I believe it's $14,995 (US). I asked my local Honda dealer if they have one for sale or have sold one yet. He said DN-O1 stands for "do not order one".
I saw this bike at a shop today. It caught my attention because it looks like science fiction :D I like that style. Although I didn't get the opportunity to drive, I can tell that thing is heavy, low and pretty comfortable... as long as you aren't taller than 1.85 m -.-
If you ride a scooter and anyone calls you a faggot just remember this... If its a guy on a chopper just yell: "BIG ASS TITIES!!" and if its a guy on a sportbike just yell: "EXTREME!!!" If that dosent work just yell, "IM GAY!!"
The review misses the point completely, it's not a scooter nor a sports bike, it's a cruiser. Commments about how the feet have to lean forward are pointless for this type of bike.
what honda should do is ditch the CVT and the 700, stuff the drivetrain from the VRF1200FA DCT and go after the Haybusa and the ZX-14

Honda broke out a new batch of ugly sticks for this bike, and broke every one of them during the styling process.
It doesnt look comfy for a passenger, especially if panniers are fitted. Not that anyone else would want to be seen on it.
Also... they obviously do not remember the flop that the Hondamatic was.

I believe the U.S still uses the old, much better, simpler, more known system (feet, miles, etc...)
even here in Canada I have NEVER, EVER heard ANYONE use meters to say how tall they are.

Sorry, but how is the Imperial system 'simpler' than the metric system????
You clearly do not have any experience working with any units.
