As soon as the outer core has cooled, the magnetic field will vanish like it already happened on mars (which is smaller and so cools faster). Additionally, the secrects of magnetism are well understood today.

@LiamXaoh Here's another loony idea. If you put two magnetic fields together with the poles matching they will repel each other. If you do that in a circle it rotates. That's how an electric motor works.
If you do that with permanent magnets, each magnet will be inducing an opposing field in the other magnet, resulting in a degrading of the field. Soon the motor will die. No, it doesn't squeeze magnetism in a cylinder and ignite it, but it eats it just the same.

This video is a prop for a fraud done by Mr. Brady. The perp has been sent to jail where he belongs. No such machine can ever create energy. There is a fairly simple proof for all machines like this one. To see why it can't work, consider a much simpler machine with just one pole on the rotor and one on the stator. Imagine you want to plot torque vs angle for it. Think mirror images.

It's an angular momentum magnetic engine, several people have patented these. look it up;) this one looks pretty simple but powerful. I wish they would hook it up to a load to see what it's really capable of. A car operates at about 5000 rpms. It's easy to get magnets to spin, tougher to get usable power out of them. It's definitely not free energy, what magnetized the magnets? Electricity. And so the magnets store energy in the form of magnetism. Eventually they will wear out(become desensitized) due to loading from drag and any from load on the rotor. Then you will have to re-magnetize the magnets again. Not sure how many times I have to post this to make people realize this is NOT FREE ENERGY.

wow, I'm amazed at how many people instantly dismiss this instead of doing a little research...it can be done and has been done. There is also a developer in Australia that has done the same thing with a generator about the same size as a motorcycle engine. Earth 2 Mckay. Winds and tides are forms energy. They are the nearest things we have to a perfect enrgy source. If you are building a machine to make energy you only get out what you put in. You can't create energy form nothing. Even Nuclear power is a conversion of uranium rods to produce steam to turn turbines. You just cant get energy from nothing.
Think about it think of all the things that you could use to make an engine. THEY ALL NEED A POWER SOURCE.

People are going way to complex on the engine system you can modify a regular petrol engine to run off of magnets its called electro magnets instead of petrol combustion because electro magnets can turn on and off so it would function exactly the same way I already have blueprints on such an engine.

The thing in the video is just the prop for a scam made by Mr. Brady. Mr. Brady has been arrested for the fraud he was using this thing for.
It doesn't do what is claimed. This should come as no surprise because no such machine can ever produce energy. The average torque, not counting losses of all such arrangements is exactly zero. You can prove this with just a little logic. Try starting with just one pole on the rotor and one on the stator and see.

Stanley Meyers was working with NASA and claims to have produced a spinning magnetic field of iron gas for use with a standard generator pickup coil. A hundred small coils stacked and pulsing in a fast circle motion would do the same thing. Could set it to run on sea wave energy or an earth battery, where it would outlive us both.

It uses the magnetic field for fuel and over time will degauss the magnets. it would be interesting to see what the power to weight ratio is and how expensive it would be to keep a vehicle size motor supplied with magnets. Charging motor magnets might be an affordable way to store solar energy.
Brady was not jailed because a hoax was exposed; he went to jail because he didn't deliver a commercial product by deadline.

@LiamXaoh Here's another loony idea. If you put two magnetic fields together with the poles matching they will repel each other. If you do that in a circle it rotates. That's how an electric motor works.
If you do that with permanent magnets, each magnet will be inducing an opposing field in the other magnet, resulting in a degrading of the field. Soon the motor will die. No, it doesn't squeeze magnetism in a cylinder and ignite it, but it eats it just the same.
It's not perpetual motion.

@Hikikomori013 -I know how electric motors work. Putting two similar magnets opposing each other does not degrade them. A permanent magnet motor (either with fixed outer magnets or rotating magnetic rotor [i.e. brushless DC] ) does not suffer from degradation of the magnets due to the opposing field or rotor coils.
"Soon the motor will die" is clearly an erroneous statement.
Magnetic deterioration occurs to severe mechanical shock or excessive temperatures (above the Curie point).

@LiamXaoh that's interesting. I was an electrician in the Navy, so I learned about residual magnetism caused by exposing ferrous metals to a strong field. They can be degaussed without cooking or pounding them, so I believed other artificial magnets could be degaussed the same way.
The old air cooled VW works best if you occasionally jump start the generator, since the induced field in the rotor will weaken the stator over time and it needs to have the magnets boosted with full current.

Repeated failure to meet the deadlines in the contract can be interpreted as breach of contract, and a claim that the breach of contract was knowing and willful can result in a fraud conviction if your lawyer is better than the defense.
Which laws of physics does this violate? Consuming magnetic fields rather than gasoline doesn't violate the 2nd law of thermodynamics, so what is it?
