  • Damn it's Huge!!

  • man he's at least 4 years

  • i have a dane, no cropping hear. would NEVER! why would you ever?

    whats the point?

  • 7 months!!??

  • pet me mom pet me!!!! so cute....

  • love it !!!!

  • Sit for grandma! Nope, don't wanna! Still love you, though. LOL.

  • my dane was sooo hard to train he is just SO dang stubborn!! but he really is the best dog ever he is ust a total blast!!

  • What breeder did you get him from? HE IS AMAZING!

  • i dont like the i have/want the biggest dane deal. it's cruel , i have two i bought for health and temperament not bragging rights. people insult my 30 inch dane like she doesnt have feelings because shes small.it disgusts me..at least she wont be howling from hip problems or die early from the heart stress.

  • @DarkRebelCafe

I know, its aweful. This dog could be growing too quickley because of his diet, which could absoulty cause alot of joint problems. As odd as it is, you want to try and span your danes growth over the longest period of time possible.

  • wow what an amazing color. I havent seen a great dane marking like that before! very cute!

  • my 7 month dane would be about the same. how much does he weigh?

  • such an adorable picture. You mom reminds mine so much! I Hope she will do the same to the dane Im planning to get someday! hehe

    Blesses to both!

  • He responds to sounds better it seems. He obeyed the snapping of her fingers w/the command. Adorable Dane btw, awesome colors.

  • 7 month! Hes going to be huge. My blue merle hit 220 at his prime!

  • Omg your dog is beautiful! We had one as child and i've always wanted another one. Best of luck with your gorgeous dog.

  • Sit for Grandma how cool.

  • Lol

  • so what if ppl get there dogs ears croppped, i dont see the dog in pain, i dont see it crying, or yulping. so i dont see a problem with it, so what if ppl do or dont get their dogs ears croppped ? just get over it and stop trying to be the savior for dogs everywhere who get their ears cropped, serioulsy who cares.... get over yourselfs.

  • I dont know who I love more, your mom or your dog :D

  • I can't believe the dog is only 7 months old. wow!

  • Either that women is really short, or that is a HUGE 7 month old great dane. He's just gonna keep growing.

  • @crazymusic161821 ..I was thinking the same thing about his size (at only 7 months)...

  • there is absolutely no way that dane is only 7 months.

  • @BCdogtrainer Agree with you. I'm a great dane owner for the past eight years and that beautiful dog is NOT that young. 7 months? pls.

  • @crazymusic161821 our great dane is 8 months and only about 2/3 rd's the size

  • Soooo recognizable! Our great dane (yes indeed, they're GREAT ;) responds to NOTHING, not even 'down' or hardly at 'come!' BUT: all of a sudden lady dog responds within half a second when invited to come into our bed (.... I know, we shouldn't.... but try to say "no" to our princess of all dogs...impossible!) or when I have bread in my hands. She goes completely wild when there is bread within a mile of her. I just loooooove great danes!!

  • so cute, what an adorable dog! looks like my dog but big.:) mine is not a great dane thou.

  • haha so cute. Danes are the best dogs. I have one and I love my boy!!

  • is he that young?oh my God,so biiiig))

  • you can tell that the mom really loves the pup and besides my dad is says they are humungo for a little baby cuz i have a 3 year old brother

  • wow..really big for a 7month old..but cute...

  • if you stand in front of a great dane and take your arm down to your knee and make a Flat open hand and slowly raise your arm up while tellin the dog to sit,, when we got our dane we had her sitting in no time by doin that,, other dane owners had told me that also

  • its huge.its onley 7 monthes old

  • man what a adorable dog. My friend has a great dane and its just such a kind and playful dog

  • Comment removed

  • hahaha at 0:13 the dog looks like it's shaking it's head. It's like "sit!"...dog shakes head "no!"

  • I don't know who I like better ... Great Dane or Grandma?!! Great family moment!

  • i thought great danes were very easy to train

  • Dang thats huge for 7 months, But sweet nonetheless.

  • Its not 7 months.

  • what a great video- you just watch her fall in love with him on the spot as I have!

  • beautiful dog.

  • aw, i love him!

  • Very cute! Can't wait till mine gets that big!

  • Such a beautiful dog. I love Danes

  • I met a Dane in Petsmart once that like. He kept barking at me and jumping on me and pawing at me. It was annoying. I'm glad I trained my Great Danes to have good manners.

  • @ScorpionRayn THAT is the owner's fault. Bad dogs usually come from bad owners. If they can't spend the time (DAILY!) training a dog, they shouldn't have one. A good obedience training class isn't expensive, and it'll teach the ADULTS for life, as well as the dog on how to raise an obidient and happy dog. Well worth the money.

  • hes gorgeous!

  • my pup is 5 months old, and he is tiny compared to him !

  • i have a great dane and she is 1 and a half and she is the most loyal, gentle and loving dog i have ever met. As well as being dopey she is very very smart and would play with anything and everything.

  • how big can they get?

  • thats only 7 months!!

  • i have 5 danes , and boy there all awwsome

  • she is just gorgeous! you are very lucky to have such a sweet dog.

  • Wow...I wish my great danes would sit that easily...lol.

  • He is beautiful! We have a 4 month old fawn, she is growing fast!

  • Big but gentle at heart

  • Great Danes are amazing animals, absolutly gorgeous!

  • dang! that dog is HUGE compared to my dog!

  • amazing cute! 7 months and already over 3ft at the shoulders (my estimation) what is he today? 37-38 inches?

  • nah, unless they are HUGE danes don't get to 37 38 inches until they are older. and that would still be a HUGE dane. mine is 34 and a half at the shoulder, and it's a girl. well.. you could be talkin' about at the head. but they measure danes by how tall they are at the shoulder. haha. he's probably 30 to 32 at the should.

  • are you nuts?! this IS huge, this dog are no way under 36 inches at withers

  • i got a great dane

  • Sooo jealous right now....

  • how sweet! don't they just luv grandma? my mom loved my girls so much, she went and got her own baby girl dane! our girls have natural ears too. you know what i hate? when people crop their ears and cut off their dew claws, and in 1 year drop them off at a shelter because they don't want them anymore.

  • Your Mom is like my Mom. She would drive over to my house just to visit my Dane even when I wasn't home. Sometimes she would kidnap him and take him over to Grandmas

  • Man he is huge and BEAUTIFUL! i love his color! i just got a Harlequin great dane thats 9 months old, man i thought he was huge! i would like to see him now =D

  • soo cute

  • well mine is now 3month old.. 60 pounds :D

  • how tall is your mom??

  • i have one haha only 1 month.. 15 lbs weight, so bigggggg

  • He looks like a mantle/harliquin. Harliquins and blacks are supposed to be the biggest of the danes. We have a three month old black and I couldn't love anything more. I won't crop the ears. They are the best dogs ever. :)

  • 7 months old!? wow, that is amazing! Is that the first time he met "grandma?" it seemed that way.....cute video!

  • GOOD DOGGIE!!

  • He is a big, beautiful boy!!!!! I was hoping he'd make Mom sit first!

  • lmao at :21 to :26

  • Hey Guys! Yeah, one big dog! So how is popeye? Have a good one!

    Rob

  • LOL... Damn!

  • just wondering if your dane ear was cropped....mine was and it was painless and didnt bother him at all. His ear stood up only after a month. i don't know why i hear bad things about ear cropping.

  • We did not crop the ears. His ears are adorable and have his own personality. They are floppy and goofy and that makes him unique.

  • @stevedanieltube Good on you for not cropping. Personally I like floppy ears.. I hate the fact some people put their pet/best friend through that pain for fashions sake. Same goes for docking tails (which is is now illegal in the UK due to the fact it's considered cruel and has no real benefit). There really is no need to be cutting up your dog, and I agree with luvsirpaul, you can tell yourself it doesn't hurt all you want, but I'll bet it does. Chop your own ears up and tell me how you get on.

  • "i don't know why i hear bad things about ear cropping."

Um...maybe because it IS painful for the pup (no matter how much you try to convince yourself otherwise) and entirely unnecessary? Would you cut off part of your kid's ear? I would hope not. So why do you think it's cool to chop off part of your dog's ear? There's really NO good reason to crop a dog's ears. It's just typical human selfishness.

  • I agree. We are not fond of ear cropping either. I will say that everyone should get their dog a gastropexy. It is where they staple the stomach to the inside of the chest wall. It prevents them from getting bloat. Which Danes can die from within hours.

  • Oh, he is simply GORGEOUS!!!!!

First thing I noticed was that he wasn't ear-cropped! Finally, a normal looking Dane! Against the law in Australia, and when I see USA Danes cropped, their heads look too big!!! :P

I can't WAIT to see more of your baby!!

  • I agree with you guys as well. My three year old male dane has his big floppy ears. Always will! I think it just shows the gentleness of the breed. Your boy is gorgeous! You have posted videos of my boy, feel free to check them out.

  • how tall is this dog now?

  • @stevedanieltube : Absolutely true! Having had Danes for a while now, and losing one to "bloat" (gastric torsion) I can tell you - it's a horrible way to watch your dog die. Gastropexy is worth it, and they can do it when the dog is being spayed or neutered.

Also: I'll just add my 2 cents: If Popeye is 7 months and over 150 pounds, please donsider putting him on adult food now. Very large Danes live less years. And he's a beautiful dog - best of luck with him. I hope to see more.

  • @RitzyTrailer why would a dane ever be fed puppy food in the first place? that is neglect . they shouldnt have one if they cant feed it properly . thats like guaranteed joint problems .

  • @DarkRebelCafe A: Because, like all puppies, they need a specific food if you're feeding them commercial chow (unlike the raw/natural diet) that has certain ingredients to insure healthy growth. Puppies indeed need a more digestible, vitamin-enriched food for the 1st 6-12 months from weaning, but because the Danes grow so quickly and so big, I've learned a program that stops the 'growth-oriented' food at 6 or so is healthier - you don't want a Dane getting 'massive' - they do that on their own.

  • @stevedanieltube Great Vid! I have an 5 month old Blue female and she can be just as bad with the site command. I would like to clear one thing up tho gastropexy don't stop bloat but it will help with other stuff.

  • @stevedanieltube

hmmm, we have a great dane pup and with all the reserch we've done we could not find any extra prevention besides waiting before and after eating and the other things, but never this. Whats it all about?

Im also not fond of ear cropping. not only is it painful, it often makes the dog look scary and un-approcable, and its a big enough problem trying to get people not to be fearful of their size

  • @luvsirpaul if you live near a area were theres thorn bushes or some other dogs its better to crop than pay 100s of pounds and being pissed off later

  • @luvsirpaul cropping is usefull if you use your dog to hunt the so the dogs ear wont get caught

  • @djteva How do you know if it hurt? Ill crop your ears ... Honestly, nice grammar and wow are you intelligent.

  • mmmm...thats big for 7 month....minds is at 4 month and hes only half the size

  • Popeye is a big boy... i will have to get video of him now. He is a big boy and turns a lot of heads. I see other Danes and Ithink they are kinda small. I see Danes that are same age as him and not nearly as big.

  • ya, mine is 7 months old and only about 110 pounds.

  • 7 months? I bet...you might wanna double check the birthdate.

  • He was 7 months old in this video believe it or not =0)

  • 7 months?!?! Get a saddle! lol. Beautiful dog, and looks like a total sweetheart too.

  • What a huge gorgeous dog!!

  • Love your dog! My last male was that big! And acted the same way!

  • such an adorable video!!!!!!! how cuteeeeeee

  • hound me now!!!! (or forever be silent!)
