yeah sisalrug - this is a great interview. i'm a big fan of Winger. terrific actor.

i'm curious - what was she there promoting (if anything)? the new movie she spoke of here, "Here Today?" and why was she so repellant to you? just wondering.

i was very lucky and got to wait on her and her husband one night at a nyc jazz club where they came in to see some music and have dinner. they were a pleasure to serve and left me a good tip! probably the coolest famous people i've ever served...

If you search you-tube with "debra winger zurich festival polanski" it shows you her speech a couple of weeks ago, right after Roman Polanski was arrested. Personally, I think the financial restitution he made to the victim satisfied the victim-- for that reason w/ the 30 years gone by, & not a career criminal (that we know of) etc. , I hardly see the point of him being arrested. But he is still a slimy toad & the fervent and naive support of him by Winger in her speech killed her for me.
