Pantera were without any doubt the bast band of the day. I was 18 at the time. I remember starting a mud fight with my mates on the banks after getiing high. Im 30 now with a kid of my own. Cant wait untill she old enough so i can tace her to some festivals. For obviouse reasons i wont be getting high though.

I think a lot of pple think log ripped of pantera cos they also do a lot of their stuff in that same midtempo style,and tracks like redneck do have a pantera vibe..but their riffs are totally different than pants..i do agree log were the next step in american metal..imo whitechapel are the next big band to carry that torch.

There's even a interview with Phil here on YT where he names Lamb of God and Mastodon as bands continuing a tradition of great American Heavy metal bands. Fuckin retards.
