Well, I consider FPS and TPS to be basically the same thing. if you consider the different between racing and strategy games, that's what two different genres are. Not something as simple as a camera angle, especially when pretty much every FPS uses both angles to varying degrees.

And Portal is apparently an FPS, this surprised me too but that's what genre the developers put it in.
