  • Do you sale the products that you make? I would love to purchase some of them.

  • @j4r4c42003 I normally sell products in my home town. I have not sold any product on line. I will think about that in the future.

  • Hi,where would a good supplier for this marsh mellow root be?

  • @kaykay292001 I purchased from Mountain rose herb and the root was iffy at times. I have purchased fresh root from my local health food store. Sorry. When I find a good supplier I'll let you know.

  • @Roots4U45 Thanx will be waiting, i am doing my research and saving up some money to see what products works well for me than go purchase and try will let u know how things turn out for me. God Bless.

  • So I'm trying this marshmallow root rinse. Can we reuse the root after we've boiled it once like the flaxseed? Or should we throw it out, it still looks like it might have some stuff to offer so i wanted to know before i throw it out lol

  • @mmebob I always reuses my roots/herbs at least twice(like with a tea). They say sometimes the second use is the best???? I don't mind if its weaker the second time. Hydrosols are weaker than infusions and EO after all.

  • You are just delightful to watch. I was tickled pink with the, "It kind of look like snot" comment.

    Love it.

  • @DeltaChi16 It looks funny, maybe I should have said slime.

  • Awesome

  • @blenellchaney Thank you.

  • Love your videos please keep them up.

  • @mya32189 I hope so. I'm sorry if I answered late. This winter has been crazy.

  • @Roots4U45 - What kind of leave-in condish would you mix with the marshmallow for a super curl definer? BTW-I've learned very much from your videos as I only came across them yesterday. Thanks for sharing

  • @PuddinCak I mix my marshmallow with FLAXSEED GEL, SHEA MOISTURE, REN-PURE OR ANY ORGANIC CONDITIONER. I occasionally mix--- marshmallow, shea butter, flaxseed and aloe vera gel for my own super curl definer..

  • aww she's so adorable!!! i love it!

  • @mekeda05 I hope I'm adorable.=))). But I prefer to be cute.

  • Well I purchased some organic marshmallow root - boiled it well .... and no thickening happened. Feel I've been sold a 'duff' bit of produce (even though it appears to be from a reputable firm). V.disappointed. Boiled it for a further 10-15 mins and the mixture only darkened. Hmmm. Any ideas?

  • @Nibbler800 That has happened to me twice. DON'T throw away the product, you can still use it for a rinse or a thin gel---it still has hold. I ended up boiling the root 2-3 times with addtional marshmallow root and a little unflavored pectin to thicken it. I hope it helps, let me know. Marshmallow root is tricky to buy, it must be a good harvest.

  • Great video. Loved listening to your accent too. You could've been talking us through the tel directory and I'd have listened with interest! lol

Only one suggestion - the camera quality (resolution) does not do you justice. Hope you can get an HD or higher quality one soon - me too for that matter - Best wishes. Nibbs :-)

  • @Nibbler800 Thank you darling. I hope to get a better camera for the holidays? Thanks for the kind words. I hope santa was listening.

  • I ran across your video by mistake. Glad I found you. Aside from your concoctions, I'm loving your southern accent. You sound just like my aunt who lives in Louisville, KY. Love her! I think I'm listening partly because of that! (LOL)

  • @devinelyDsigned Well honey, we southern gals will grow on you. I hope you enjoy the channel.

  • ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i love this sooooo gonna make tjis

  • @wcallisa22 Let me know how it turns out. It mixes very well with flaxseed gel, conditioners, shampoo, or as a rinse./ lotion.

  • @Roots4U45 my hair hates flaxseed gel

  • love it - just subbed :) yay a lover of herbs like me!! I have made a beautiful marshallow detangler with similar combinations like yours, and added glycerin and a bit of jojoba oil.

  • @okorolina How did the detangler work out for you.? what was the combo?

  • Really love your videos. They are very informative. I really appreciate you taking the time to show us how to make really good quality products that are not only cost effective but easy to make. One question on the marshmallow rinse. At what point did you add the grapefruit seed powder?

  • @delazgirl I usually add the grapefruit powder at the end. I try to research my herbs in my herbals books as best I can.

  • Love your vids - try this recipe. Thanks for the all the researching you do on the items you use in your recipes.

  • @0708runner Let me know how you like, use and comment.

  • i just love ur vids. Please keep them coming. i just starting out with learning how to care for my natural hair. i'm so thankful for people like u on youtube.

  • @bpt661 If you have any questions, please send me a message in my inbox.

  • GREAT info, as always! Do you get your herbs and supplies locally, online or a combination of both?

  • @nappyheadedjojoba I buy them at the local health food store, when i travel and online. My most cost savings has been herbs from the mexican and indian markets

  • I'm so glad I found your channel!

  • @glitterandglueforyou thank you, i hope we all learn something from one another.

  • Another great recipe! I slipped some marshmallow root into your lavender mud wash for extra slip because I have a hard time rinsing bentonite clay out of my hair. I must not have added enough tho' because I didn't get much mucilage or slip. I didn't use a blender and whip it either tho', so perhaps i missed a step.

Thanks for another informative video roots4u45 i look forward to trying this recipe soon.

  • @kinkykhick I have not used bentonite clay so I can attest to the rinsing properties. The marshmallow rinse does not have as much slip as flaxseed. The slip it provides coats the cuticles well. I also add marshmallow root to my muds, conditioners vinegar wash, shea mix.

  • I have thyroid issues and I have used the flax seed gel in the past but I had no ideal that it is a conflict. I will surely try to make your marshmallow root mix. Thanks for vid!

  • @NaturalUniique Please look up all herbs/spices before using if you have medical issues. There is a documented contraindication for the use of flaxseed and thyroid problems.

  • You need your own TV Show!

  • @chantel2016 Thank you darling. That was so very nice of you to say. I would love to have a natural hair/receipes/mixtress/ solider for the natural sisters show.(smile)
