  • Very nice. Which pickups are you using?

  • @diogorenato Thank you very much. Neck and middle are Seymour Duncan Antiquity Alnico 2s. Bridge is a SD hotrails. thanks!

  • tocas muy bien ,le metiste sierto estilo tuyo

  • great playing man! throughly enjoed this!!! Loved the tone of your guitar too!

  • Really enjoy this... Awesome. :)

  • this is totally groovy, man. I wish I was nearly as good!

  • I would lose the pick and brush with the thumb for a warmer tone. Kind of sounded SRVish. very nice!

  • You had a ball with that one :). I digg it, great work. It is probably my favorite song. Maybe someday Ill be able to play it, as a guitarist of 6 months- not today though .

    Rock on! -Jeff

  • Thanks a lot Jeff! Yeah I love this tune. Man... this was like 2 years ago. Time flies... I still love Eric Johnson. But I want to learn how to improvise better. This tune is not as hard as it seems. It's structured. Just take it peace by peace! Best of luck with it, my friend. Thanks, Alex

  • Awesome man!!! :)

  • Wow, so Fender taste~ nice tone, great job

  • Thanks man. I'm glad you like it.

  • Awesome sound! Best version in youtube.

  • Thanks a lot man. I'm gonna continue working on it, to get the harmonics down, intonation, and better tone.

  • simply epic. it is also melodically more fluent than the original one, somehow.

  • Thanks man. I really appreciate it.

  • algo asi.. pero muy bien eh

  • EXCELLENT GREAT COVER!!

  • Thanks a lot!

  • did yo use the upper pick up ?

    whats the effects use ?

  • Thanks a lot. I use pickup positions 1,2,4 and 5 during the song.

Here is the equipment i used:

2000 Fender Highway 1 with 2 Seymour Duncan A2 Antiquities in neck & middle, a hotrail in the bridge. It is modded for 9 way switching, but i'm not using those positions. I also got 3 graph-tec saddles on the top strings.

Into a BOSS Keeley Ultra DS-1. Then into a BOSS ME-30 (delays only). Then into my Fender blonde Blues Junior amp that has a Jensen C12 speaker.

  • great very great, congratulation friend

  • Yeah, I really like your version of it. The attacks in many areas were much brighter and aggressive. You are very very good.

  • great!!!

  • I liked it, you went for your own stylee on that one, which is cool. The solo seemed a bit sloppy but thats because you're one of the first ones I've seen that covers this song and doesn't pile tons of distortion and compression. 4 stars dude.

  • this solo is the best that i have ever seen,in this

solo i see ur own style,it's very important to a guitarist.

  • great

  • hey favor man do it slowly coz im looking at ur chords!!! juz learning by watching!!! kool man u rock!!!

  • Thanks everyone!

Recording using cakewalk Sonar 3.0, adding compression, EQ, and some reverb.

  • Very good job. 5 deserved stars. Thumbs up...

  • Do you play thru an amp or a "pod". I like your tone.

  • Hey. I'm playing through a Fender Blues Junior amp in this video. Thanks!

  • If someone asked me who was playing I would say EJ!

    Amazing!

  • Thanks a lot man! I don't deserve such a huge compliment! EJ is such a tremendous inspiration and role model for me.

  • Sweet :D

  • Se ve que pilotas!

  • holy cow, Alex, you rock all the way to Vancouver. Cheers!
