At least India has a car industry. Not every one in here in the UK can afford Luxury cars, for some of us who have had less than inflation pay rises and now two year pay freezes who have to have a car for our work an affordable no frills car is exactly what is needed. A lot of the same ridicule and safety fears were levelled at the MCC Smart car when it first came out. Look how many of those have been sold.
I really love their show but sometimes they sound like some spoiled rich kids. It's a 2000$ car. WTF did you expect? Believe it or not there are people in this world that can't afford the latest Mercedes Benz...

Tata wont give their car for a review to TOP gear ha ha ha .... they couldnt get the City rover for a review and they had do an undercover... Dodge also doesnot give its car for review to topgear..

@Shutkaroo Forget about top gear getting a test drive... they wouldn't let you test drive the nano even if you went to the showroom to buy one... buy one, and then you can drive it!!

I'm Indian, and quite frankly, the Nano is absolutely everything that i hate in one car.
Having said that, Tata now owns Jaguar-Land rover.
