@SparkPlugnl i have seen him twice. Once on the Surfing with the Alien tour and once in 1993. Had Surfing with the alien , flying in a blue dream , the extremeist , and time machine. It was a big deal back when i was in my late teens/early twenties , now i realize that its all wank. Him Vai , all those guys didn't stand the test of time. People like Halen, Jabs , Young , Slash , Perry all play with soul taste and melody. Things you remember. Wanking is for kids.

Satriani's and Vai's "popular" stuff really does just start to grate on me after a while, but some of Satriani's lesser known works are some of the most beautiful things I've ever heard. Look up "Ten Words" and "Friends" by Satriani. Those those are overflowing with "soul, taste, and melody". Cheers! =)

In my opinion, the best technique (in picking and speed) if from Jhon. Joe of course is so wide range and son nice to heard.
