  • the tune used in this video is great! I love cooking spag bol and now everytime I cook it I just think of the tune.

    The basic is just salt and pepper.

    I like to put some pepper (sweet and spicy) to the meat. As Herbs i use Basil (!), Oregano (!) or Persile - depends on what i have in the Kitchen.

  • oh and i also stir the sauce through the spaghetti in the pot i used to cook the spaghetti before serving

    letting the sauce stirred with the pasta with the lid on for a minute gives it that wabam factor

  • Make the sauce in the pan you use to cook the minced meat? thats new, i generally use a pan for cooking the meat, a pot for the cooked meat and the sauce, and another pot for cooking the spaghetti, i also find that simmering the sauce for 2 hours + generally gives the meat a tasty texture and the taste of sauce. but thats just me , including being biased against electric heating elements and preferring gas stoves

    its like microwaving or gas stove cooking, you dont get that electric taste

    Make the sauce in the pan = one Pot less to clean.

    Normally the Sauce tastes much better on the next day, but unfortunately theres nothing left - most of the time.

    gas - stove? YES!!!!

    (But if you don't have a choice it doesn't really matter.)

  • hi i hvae to say, u must put time in to make a serious good bolognese. i think the bare minimum should be around 2 hours.

  • hmmm, sieht ganz gut aus, aber wie lange kochst du das denn nachdem die möhrchen dazukommen(?), damit die nicht zu hart bleiben? und werden nicht erst die zwiebeln angebraten und dann das fleisch?

  • you need to cook veg first (you could add a little bit of celery), add meat, when browned then add a tin of chopped tomatoes not puree, then add white (not red!) wine, let wine reduce down to intensify the flavour, and then simmer on low heat for at least 3 hours. Try it, its very good. but thanks for showing your way.
