Need help..... I just got a 5000w amp (pyramid America) and 2 (12" boss) 2300 watts each. So when I hooked them up they where a disappointment the bass was not as loud as I thought they would be. Is there more to it then just big watts or is it the brand of the amp and subs? Please help ASAP. Oh by the way I installed them to my factory head unit, will I have to get a after market one for better bass?
@TheBrownwetback also, there is alot more than alot of watts, i had 2 lightning audio 12's that new are 30 dollars each, and i got them both in a box for 25, anyways, i was only putting maybe 50 watts to each yet they hit better than my friends 2 boss 12's running 1000 watts each. why? my amp was tuned, my box was the right amount of cubes for the subs, and i tuned off of my stereo deck too. his, none of the above.

Hey dude, i watched some of your videos, and your great! and i was wondering if you could help me with my sound system. i bought off amazon 2 mtx audio subs that come with a box. it says they are 1200 watt, idk right now if that 1200 watts is for both or each. and i bought a 4000watt legacy amp. 5 farad capacitor. 0 guage amp kit. 4 x 6 mtx speakers, and 6 x 9 mtx audio speakers.

@Flam3Nite34 Yes you can hook up two subs to a mono amp, Your amp will see a 1ohm load with ur 2 subs. Which is the way i like it, Lol! a lot co. put two places to hook up subs on a mono amp just for easy hook up for 2.

Alright I just got 2 12's hooked up to a RF T2000.1bd and a 8.0 farad capacitor and I'm experiencing HUGE voltage drops(because of my 135amp alternator), but I was wondering cause I have a stock wal-mart crapper battery, do you think a Optima yellowtop would lessen the voltage drop it goes from 12.0-8 YIKES! get an rca cable that is twisted to reduce electromagnetic interference, If your vehicle has a northstar engine they tend to put out more EMI, and that will fuck it up too. I'm sure you have fixed your problem since a year ago but just in case...........
Yeah and never put your amplifier cable (RED) next to the rcas, you should always run the rca on the passenger side of the car under the running board, and the power cable on the driver side (depending where your battery is).

Hey Exo, or anybody else.. I have an MRP-M2000 alpine amp. I have 2 alpine type R tens... I know for a more nominal RMS ratio I should upgrade to at least 3 if i'm going to run at 4 ohms or 2 more if I'm going to run at 2 ohms. What would yall do? Also, i'm getting a lot of different opinions on how I should spec my ported box for type R 10s, opinions? Would really appreciate it.

@187streetsoldier dude 187 they beat so hard!!!!!!! i had 2 running @ 1 ohm with a crunch p1000.1 my meter showed i was running a little over 500 rms so 250+ rms to each subwoofer. Be careful they dont like highs at 300rms i smelt mine cooking at 300 but i think it was because of the high note on put on. Have fun man live loud!

@SKATER8734 the hfi12d4's or about 40 bucks a piece and can handle 250rms solid, at about 300 rms they start to cry a little. check out videos online man they are the best bang for the buck i have ever owned.

Yo EXO!!! What's up man?! Alright I just got 2 12's hooked up to a RF T2000.1bd and a 8.0 farad capacitor and I'm experiencing HUGE voltage drops(because of my 135amp alternator), but I was wondering cause I have a stock wal-mart crapper battery, do you think a Optima yellowtop would lessen the voltage drop it goes from 12.0-8 YIKES! Fairly quick man.. OR should I just get another alternator??? Please respond!!!

get an rca cable that is twisted to reduce electromagnetic interference, If your vehicle has a northstar engine they tend to put out more EMI, and that will fuck it up too. I'm sure you have fixed your problem since a year ago but just in case...........

Yeah and never put your amplifier cable (RED) next to the rcas, you should always run the rca on the passenger side of the car under the running board, and the power cable on the driver side (depending where your battery is).

@bigbassdave go to walmart and get a 300 watt dual amp and bridge it on that fusgate, trust me it'll bang! ust because its from wal*mart doesn't mean anything.

Hey Exo, or anybody else.. I have an MRP-M2000 alpine amp. I have 2 alpine type R tens... I know for a more nominal RMS ratio I should upgrade to at least 3 if i'm going to run at 4 ohms or 2 more if I'm going to run at 2 ohms. What would yall do? Also, i'm getting a lot of different opinions on how I should spec my ported box for type R 10s, opinions? Would really appreciate it.

@187streetsoldier dude 187 they beat so hard!!!!!!! i had 2 running @ 1 ohm with a crunch p1000.1 my meter showed i was running a little over 500 rms so 250+ rms to each subwoofer. Be careful they dont like highs at 300rms i smelt mine cooking at 300 but i think it was because of the high note on put on. Have fun man live loud!

@SKATER8734 the hfi12d4's or about 40 bucks a piece and can handle 250rms solid, at about 300 rms they start to cry a little. check out videos online man they are the best bang for the buck i have ever owned.
