i beleive that this was actually the most succesful game of the series... first of all i understand that altair was in the second game once with maria on the tower and in assassins creed bloodlines but, thats not enough for my taste, second of all with the new assassins creed games, they kinda ruined the story line.. what ever DID happen to altair, just in my opinion ubisoft needs to make another game like this i swear man...
I realy going to miss this game, with all the AC2 going on. AC2 is great very great, but its very different too. Why i loved AC1 is the crusade and all the aincient atmosphere in it and the badass char Altair. AC2 is different but not bad, but as good as this.
This is the game that started it all with assassins creed it was a great game for its time and AC2 will definatly keep assassins creed in the best games of the decade

The art work and graphics are just jawdropping, and you forget its a video game when playing.
I think I know part of what this game's problem was; in addition to being too easy, there weren't enough catacombs to explore. I mean, gorgeous as this game was, I was begging, the game, the entire time to "please let me break into fortifications, PLEASE let me explore the insides of castles like in the trailer" but, alas, nothing happened. You just run around the streets like a pansy, shoving soldiers around, soldiers who barely put up a fight.
Yeah your right, the game was short and kind of repeated tasks. Once you master the counter attacks, the guards and soldiers are easy to beat regardless the numbers. But anyway lets hope they do make a AC2 and it will better. Have you played MGS4?
forsooth, nay, I'm waiting for MGS4 "subsistence" or whatever the hell Kojima will call the upgrade this time, although, I hear MGS4 was everything Assasin's Creed should have been, and more. That is why Kojima jokingly placed the Altair outfit easter egg in the middle east, because I have heard MGS4 is similar in some ways.

Not really, in total we have 8 fingers and 2 thumbs! , but altair has 7 fingers, the hand which he used his hidden blade (ring finger like you said), has the the missing finger. - Pause it when he kills his target. You will see. Look carefully at 01.16.

I never knew but i found out i can counter attack with a hidden blade.
First select the target button, it will draw ur sword. Click the hidden blade weapon.

Not really, in total we have 8 fingers and 2 thumbs! , but altair has 7 fingers, the hand which he used his hidden blade (ring finger like you said), has the the missing finger. - Pause it when he kills his target. You will see. Look carefully at 01.16.
