All of this made the torpedo crew suspicious, so they simply closed in and hailed the ship.

It was engaged in signals intellegence and ignored repeated warning to leave (naval court later found radio shack unmanned for hours, only after the attack started did it get manned). No, once the target is set, there's no going back... no, uploading possible of new targets. It's able to follow moving targets with it's internal targeting system, but it is not flawless at it. (in fact, for a non-moving target, it didn't quite hit in the middle of the drone target either).

This recognize system is very similar to that used in AA izrael missiles - python 5 = is capable to determine aircraft type from civil aircraft, small jet, transport aircrafts etc by using its 3D models and infrared+CCD signatures. and automaticly attacks engines or pilot cocpit,...etc
