I upgraded to this card from the 5570, which is a low profile card. I only had it because my 4850 burned out.  I knew the 5970 was a large card, but didn't realize just how big it was until it arrived at my house and I unboxed it. It barely fits into my computer, I'll upgrade my case later on, but this is a great card.

yeah that thing with the strain happened to me =/ after I moved the case the gfx card didn't connect properly with the motherboard.. easily fixed by using a pen to hold the up the card but still.. kinda annoying
