They're mostly kids, and it's mostly just transport for most of them, and lots of them will be new and wobbly or over-enthusiastic - most of them weren't born when I first cycled to work along the path.

I enjoy riding hard on the way home, but the onus is on me to slow down when someone else has started overtaking - or is going to.

I dread to think how you tackle the bit further along where it gets REALLY narrow.

It took me 20 years of non-motorised cycling before I rode more than 5 miles in one go. I used to put my bike away between Friday evening and Monday morning.

Three years later and I have a burning need to get a second 50 miles in on a Sunday - in a group - with a good lunch in the middle.

Have you ever thought about going non-electric sometimes ?

I'm old enough to have skived off a school cross-country on the path when it was still just gravel. ;-)
