  • I love you Quincy - no one knows the music business like you, you are brilliant and you have a loving heart and beautiful spirit.

  • Michael Jackson: artist, musician, performer, entertainer and a leyend... AND THAT'S IT!!!!!! :)

  • but Michael was NOT an unknown when Q met him,He had already been famous in showbusiness for 13yrs!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i love quincy jones

    this man deserves more honour

he produced michaels first 3 albums, his best 3 !

  • Someone beloved by this world dies and then you have the bunch of people who come rendering tribute.... Remind me, what does the bible says about idols?

  • I read in a Spanish newspaper that this man said MJ didn`t have so much talent as Frank Sinatra, I hope it isn`t true because Michael Jackson was the greatest multitalented artist ever, the one the touched millions of hearts around the planet.

  • @indigo2011 how do you measure talent?????

  • Thanks "Q". This was a very good speech and Quincy spoke kindly of Michael, just as Michael always remained respectful and loving toward the Q. Ohhh to have Michael back again, but he is in a much better place now. God will treat Michael right. *sigh*

  • @magiccarpetride01 absolutely true , he spoke respectful

but michael was not as respectful, after bad he ended the contact with jones and he spoke not good about him

  • @RudolfHessBOY1984 That's not at all true. Yes, Michael ended the contract simply because he was growing, maturing and wanted to spread his wings and fly, but never did Michael say one single thing against Quincy!!

Michael ALWAYS spoke so kindly and respectfully about both Quincy and Berry Gordy, both of which MJ worked under. That's a fact! However, Quincy must have gotten upset that MJ went on alone because Q started speaking very badly and lieing about Michael! I lost respect for Q then.

  • First of all anyone that thinks that MJ's best songs were Post Bad, I question your concept of True musical prosody....I am NOT knocking any of the songs after Q and MJ went there seperate ways, I am just saying that creating MAGIC (If you will) in the creation of any style of music does not happen with everyone just because you have access to it, It takes a calling to lend GREAT MUSIC, and it is easy to do anything less....

  • @cpope3391 First of all, why do you need to compare Pre-BAD and Post-BAD. Makes no sense. Michael remained VERY respectful and loving of Quincy .. but mj wanted to spread his wings and fly. Michael created some amazing music during his lifetime, some of which I truly think will be more appreciated 100 years from now .. similar to what happened to many great composers of one and two hundred years ago. Songs like Will You Be There, Earth Song, Little Susie, Speechless, Heartbreaker and more.

  • QJ is top in his trade but why in the hell did he accept The Girl Is Mine onto the Thriller album yet did not want Billie Jean on it?

  • Off The Wall is a killer album. Thriller is good, but Off The wall is really the better album. Keep up the good work Quincy and RIP Michael.

  • lol again with the Socratis story

  • I don't hear Q being disrespectful to MJ or anybody else

When Michael hooked up with Q, and MTV, they all took off

They all needed each other, and their timing couldn't have been better

  • lØl_ãÑÿÔñË_wÂnnå_chåt_wíth_mê_î_fêel_sö_lönElý_töDàý♥

  • Why do people treat black successful people as if their highlanders, as if there can only be one.

Michael was a genius and Quincy Jones is also, have respect.

Michael as well as being a genius...was a man falable , flawed human

  • You guys are nuts....If it had NOT been for the gifts of Q and the meshing of them with MJ talent...MJ would NOT have had the BIGGEST selling album of ALL TIME...Q produced The TOP 3 MJ albums...Nothing that He did post BAD did not even come CLOSE to the 3 that were done by Q....Do your homework....

  • @cpope3391 wat do u mean? dangerouse outsold both bad and off the wall. DO YOUR HOMEWORK!

  • @songoku714

    That's true

  • Comment removed

  • @cpope3391 Off the Wall & Bad outsold Dangerous in the U.S., but not by much. I didn't care much for Dangerous except Teddy Riley's songs but facts r facts. Because like it says below, Dangerous ultimately outsold the other two Worldwide including the U.S. Also, when u say Mike's work after Bad "did not even come CLOSE" your mistaken. Off the Wall U.S. sales blew HIStory away. However, HIStory matched Off the Wall in worldwide sales. Look it up. A sale is a sale whether in the U.S or overseas

  • @cpope3391 The majority of MJ's best songs came from his albums after Bad. Will You Be There? Speechless? Little Susie? Stranger In Moscow? Earth Song?

  • @Yatess100 Little Susie? How did that become one of MJ's best ?- BLECK!

  • @Confirmedgenius Listen to it man, everything from the emotion to the lyrics to the vocals is amazing. What would you say his best compositions are?

  • @Yatess100

My favorite MJ songs are Human Nature, Rock with You, Remember the Time - I know MJ didnt write and compose those.

My top MJ written and composed songs are: Billie Jean, Dont Stop til u get Enough, We Are the World, Will You be There, Earth Song.

My favorite "under rated" MJ songs are: Morphine,Threatened,Why u Wanna Trip on Me

  • @Confirmedgenius MJ co-produced Remember The Time with Teddy Riley. Why You Wanna Trip On Me is brilliant and so under-rated. He made so many good songs.

  • At least this interview is kinder than the "Q - Candid" interview. We love you Michael .. now and forever. There are so many jealous of your fame, it saddens me. If only they knew of your talent, your heart, and your l.o.v.e. Thanks to sxsw for posting this anyway. MJ forever ! <33

  • It is true .. "q" needs to remember how much money he made off of mj .. a boatload of money. And MJ ALWAYS gave such love and honor to Q. Thank you Michael for always setting such a wonderful example for us all. You are revered in so many ways, not only for your amazing music, vocals, dance, and thrilling videos and movies.

  • In public he's Quincy Jones, in private he's Suzy Q behind closed doors.

  • quincy ur so wrong. prince was on MTV before MJ...so what? i think rick james was before prince...or someone else.

  • @giugnhgbvinierngvb89 Prince is a genius, Quincy is a penis!

  • @giugnhgbvinierngvb89 Prince is a genius, and quincy is a penis! He had/has no REAL love for Micheal Jackson (the person, not the artist).

  • this man made thriller....without quincy MJ would have been a wannabe rick james

  • Michael made Quincy a lot of money.

  • @YearoftheButterfly Michael made alot of people very very rich. But in the case of Quincy Jones it was the other way around. So your comment is misdirected. You are either really young or grossly uninformed. Quincy was a multi-millionaire before MJ was out of diapers. If anyone wants to argue this, just look up The Many Lives of Q. It is simply mind-blowing!

  • ever wonder why these insecured Prince fans come here trying to desperately to insert in Prince's name in whatever way they can? Is the desperation meter really that staunch?

  • @SuperstarRichardG sorry BUT both QUINCY and especially MICHAEL (3 times in different years) asked prince to produce MJ or make a duet or even tour with michael. Prince always said NO.

  • @giugnhgbvinierngvb89 Read between the lines & don't believe everything you hear. What is the reason why Prince said no (if he said no)? He would've been required/expected to sell his soul. That's what quincy's into. Do your research...

  • @monteindamiddle7 PRINCE did not need MJ. MJ needed prince...van halen, quincy, temperton, heavy d, spilberg, michael jordan, paul macartney, SLASH...anyone that was big at the time. Prince makes it all by himself since he was a teenager. Even tho prince's career was not aimed to winning awards he had a song, a movie, and an album number 1 and won an oscar at the same time. something nobody has ever done.

  • @giugnhgbvinierngvb89 Who's the best dancer EVER? Who's the 3rd biggest selling music artist in history? Who started singing at the age of 6? Fuck Prince he cant dance and yes he can sing but with a really gay high voice.. and in numbers about the tours the records sold etc he is FAR FAR FAR AWAY FROM MJ. Can you deny that? numbers dont lie. Plz dont reply me nasty things about MJ i know u hate him but im just telling the truth

  • @Tupac4Everz 1. nureyev or nicholas brotheres are above copycat wacko. 2. prince started at the age of 4 making songs playing instruments without the help of anyone. 3. prince has a higher and deeper voice than jacko without extra production lip synch. prince is not gay. MJ was gay. who sold more? wacko. coca cola sells more than the best champagne, retard. thats the truth.

  • @giugnhgbvinierngvb89 Why your so mad? face the truth Michael Jackson>All exept maybe the beatles and elvis cuz they are the only 2 who have sold more records then him. Like i said numbers dont lie. Coca cola sells more than the best champagne EHH WTF?We are talking about music RETARD MJ sold over 785Millions records alone and 250Millions with the Jackson5 he is the most awarded artist in history(by music industry) and the most popular artist of all time (by the guiness records)

  • @Tupac4Everz Without extra production lip synch? ehh since he's 6 he never lipsynched Victory/Bad/Dangerous All without lipsynch and REAL DANCING not shit dancing like prince(every1 can dance like him) MJ started to lipsynch when he was around 37 cuz he couldnt do the INCREDIBLE moves and sing at the same time. Not like your prince who almost doesnt move... very easy to sing when the only thing your doing on stage is gesticulate

  • @giugnhgbvinierngvb89 That comment about prince and mj was a lie .. mj never asked prince to tour .. nor did he ask prince to produce for him. you are delusional hon.

  • @ABCHealTheWorld MJ asked prince to tour together when prince was doing LAS VEGAS a few years back. go do ur research and dont call people liar when u dont even know the facts, retard. also prince was asked to produce michael, janet and latoya...the 3 of them.finally janet got some prince flavour being produced by 2 of the time members terry lewis and jimi jam.

  • @SuperstarRichardG This is dumb, I don't think anyone comes here with the intention of trying to insert his name...personally I'm a huge fan of both and think that they are both the most talented artists we've been privileged to listen to...But I'm pretty sure the majority of people come here to watch this interview, and for that sole reason alone until theres an idiot or two who comment about Prince being shit so they come to his defense...so really who are desperate ones?

  • What an open interview! Love to hear him speak!

  • I dont like the fact that he as a good friend of him once now starts saying all of these things like he snapped it, and used chemical products and stuff huh.. didnt expect that from quincy sure did not just because he went another direction

  • Perfect!

  • Believe me i didnt understand any single word

  • Quincy you are one of the greatest subtle but powerful producers. Thank you.

  • What I Love About MJ Is That It's Impossible Just To Have t One Favorite Song... It's Hard To Choose.... I Have Like 17 Favorite Songs From Him, I'm Not Joking. MJ Was Definitely A Musical Genius. MJ Will ALWAYS Be The King Of Pop & His Legacy Will Live Forever.

  • i facepalmed when he said that mj was touched by god.

  • Attn: Quincy Jones, I have a story that I have been Blessed with, that I want to share with you ,Please check this out, read the short letter underneath so that you will understand the''AWE'' of this ,It's a story in Honor of Michael Jackson (DIVINE IN NATURE)-you will be amazed ! I have been trying to reach the Jackson family with this for a year now,I hope to here from you soon, God Bless...

  • Aw, 'So-cray-tees" - MJ was so cute and sweet. :)

  • This makes me so sad!!! Michael was such a shining star and ppl just took his sparkle away until he died. I love you Michael.

  • Listen to Master Q Guru speak about his Star Child..MJs

  • I really like Quincy Jones a lot

  • April 6th : Got up,had coffee,sent shitty letter to IRS,invented Funk.

    April 7th : Got up,had coffee,sent shitty letter to IRS,bored of Funk,invented Disco.

April 8th : Got up,had coffee, sent shitty letter to IRS, called MJ,think tomorrow we should re-invent popular music.

    April 9th : Got up, had coffee...........................Q

  • We are all crazy; this is great one!!! Love it QJ

  • my all time fav album is BAD

  • for filthralph comment i absoutley agree with that comment on the bit where from 1979 and 1989 he was absoutley untouchable so many artists worked their ass off to get their songs near him but they could'nt those years were michaels year he just had the magic moment thriller album success including billie jean which was a hige hit. then bad album includes bad, smooth criminal ettc. but when those sexual abuse comments were made against him it seriously did dent his carrer big time!!!

  • @Arsenal30049 AND EVN THN he took it and smiled and released dangerouse his secnd biggest album. now the sexual acusations. that shit dented his carrer but it also showcased how strong it was wen he released history which sold 20.000.000

  • Quincy supported Hilary Clinton during her campaign, well am I suprised?

  • @productions271 What does Quincy supporting Hillary Clinton have to do with Mike? Mike was good friends with the Clinton family. He was good friends with Deepak's family. Deepak is also good friends with the Clintons. I don't remember MJ talking about US politics or getting involved. Are you suggesting that Quincy is bad because he didn't campaign for a half-White and half-African US citizen? Was Quincy wrong for campaigning for a white woman :) I don't get it :)

    Much Love,

    Chris in Indiana

  • @chrisandalec MJ was 2x in inauguration of Bill Clinton , huge contributor/donator, he raised a lot of money for democrats, gave the last concert in 2003 in Apollo for democrat party.

MJ was involved in politics, just he never spoke publicly about it, that I know of.

  • @NoarNoir Yeah, I agree...I think that he wanted to stay away from politics; however, he and Bill Clinton were fairly good friends. I did see the Apollo performance via Youtube for the DNC fundraiser. I wish that I could have seen all of the performance :) I just don't understand when these "supposed MJ fans" put Bill and Hillary down, when he clearly was friends with them...so much in fact, that he did participate in a few political events. Thank you for the comment!!

    Much Love.

    Chris in Indy

  • @chrisandalec There are fans upset why Bill or his wife didn't participate in memorial speech, since they were friends, but Repulican Sheila Jackson Lee was and held a beautiful speech also she talked about resolution 600 debating on the floor of house rep. claiming MJ an American Legend and musical icon a world humanitarian honored 4ever(MJ didn't even raise donation for republicans he did for democrats) for but was shut down by dem. Irony rite?

  • @NoarNoir I definitely agree with you regarding Bill Clinton (he definitely should have been there....either for the memorial or the burial; however, maybe he KNOWS something that we do not....I can only pray). That being said, why in the world did our own current President barely even speak about MJ (and almost seemed insulted when he was finally asked the question). Our current President's answer was very disappointing. You do have a point though.

    Much Love,

    Chris in Indy

  • quicny jones may be great in some aspects of music. however, he made a fortune off of his connection to michael jackson - too bad he can't remember or count his money before he talks the bad rap on michael

  • @rossismom: I don't understand your comment about Quincy. Why do you think he is talking bad about Michael Jackson?

  • @rossismom i think right after michael, quincy jones did a tv interview - not the one in which he praised the artistry/talent of michael but it was a one on one - i'm sory, i didn't keep a link. i do remember being furious during and after the interview. the interviewer asked jones about "michael's later years (after quincy). jones replies were not complimentary ut the one that stood out in head was when he out and out said that michael bleaches his skin, had skin peels he didn't believe disease

  • @rossismom I think I remember seeing that but Quincy didn't mention bleaching, just the skin peels. But I'm not sure if he intended to mean he was trying to be white. Michael had bad acne problems so maybe he was referring to that. Just my opinion.

  • @Bella760205 the picture above with quincy speaking to a group is not the one i am talking about. shortly after his "little brother" died he was asked to give an interview and i'm sorry to say i do not remember who with. i do remember he was sitting on a couch and the interviewer was a woman. maybe it can be found amongst the quincy jones "mix" - but he clearly talked about michael and his "weirdness" he said it began with the bleaching and the peeling and the chamber. nice big brother.

  • @rossismom ?? bad rap? quincy and michael were best friends. if it wasn't for him there would be no off the wall, no thriller, and no bad.

  • @rossismom Quincy was already successful, and Quincy made the music, respect where respect is due

  • you don't need to know how to write music, only need to know how to make it

  • there is a demo version of "She's out of my life" where Michael doesn't cry at the end...it is a nice version (part of "THIS IS IT" CD)

  • MJ always respected Q. even when Quincy stated that MJ shouldn't say he composes, when he can't read/write music. Multiple court deposition lined up for MJ after this statement, and never stopped. After 10yrs of Thriller release MJ was called in court deposition to proof that songs are his work/composition. How humiliating. For each song MJ put his name on, had to fight for. MJ fought as a King. But, he fought alone, and never pointed fingers @ his friends. Even though he never had a real one.

  • @NoarNoir seriously...???? some people dont believe he create his song.... and he called to court for that...?? it's so underestimated..

  • It is here in YT tons of footage about MJ's court depositions. . I don't think there is any artist tortured than MJ. Sad, but true he was indeed alone.

  • @msblossom77 You know the part of the song Wanna be starting something: the African chant mamamacussamamacuse in Thriller album, for that part he was suit. Can u imagine in 2008 was deposition court for that part of the song, and the song was made in '80s. MJ settle out of the court cuz at the end years of his life he was getting tired of going to court and going thru same crap. MJ was tortured indeed.

  • @NoarNoir do you know what that african chant means?

  • @truth8809 Ma -ma se, Ma -ma sa, ma -ma coo sa. "MAKOSSA" or "MACOOSA" means "I dance" in Duala (one of African languages).("Wanna be starting something" is about baby mama @young age who can't feed their babies and have a breakdown, being on the mercy of society-mama se mam-sa mama-coosa

Soul Makosa 1973 by Manu Dibango sings: :mamaku mamasa makumakusa (it is not utterly the same) song is about dance.

Now from 1973 to 2008 is 35yrs 2 long wait for suing some1 for the song or sampling.

  • @NoarNoir Cont' Under copyright law MJ actually did not violate anything, according to the law singer are allowed to take 1 line as long as they do not take the 20% or more of entire song,...Michael Jackson settled out of the court more out of ethical principles. LEGALLY HE DIDN'T HAD TO PAY A PENNY. MJ didn't sample the song, nor used more than what 3 words with mispronunciation. MJ was sweet person.

  • @NoarNoir dude, quincy is so right about that. whats wrong with Mj not being able to compose write or read or play music?? dude, he wasnt God...steve wonder is way more talented, so what?? nothing against Michael's other talents.

  • @giugnhgbvinierngvb89 Dude, Q is SO NOT right about that. MJJ COMPOSED and WROTE SONGS. Loving Q is OK, but belittling Michael is not cool. Facts speaks louder. According to Seth Riggs "MICHAEL has one of the finest voices in contemporary music. First advantage is the natural speed of his voice sing complex rhythms in perfect timing. MJJ possesses a 4 octave vocal range. His voice goes from 2 E's below middle C to 2 B's above middle C or 44 notes. EXTREMELY rare range amongst adult male singers"

  • @giugnhgbvinierngvb89 you stupid young fuck bag.. I guess because someone with experience driving that doesn't have a "license" doesn't know how to drive, right? Get a clue doucher. Being able to write shit out musically and having the educated knowledge to write it out doesn't mean the artist doesn't know what the fuck they're talking about. He is a writer/musican

  • @RDCureton2009 someone without a license can show people he can actually drive...u just get in the car and drive. MJ NEVER PLAYED AN INSTRUMENT IN FRONT OF PEOPLE. because he was shit and untalented with instruments. even axl rose plays piano at his shows.

  • @giugnhgbvinierngvb89 I guess you don't know .. MJ played 3 instruments .. enough that he could play in jam sessions .. which is talked about by another musician on youtube. He played drums often in jam sessions .. so it was said. He also played piano, and some guitar. Michael's voice, and his entire body with his dance .. became his instrument. Millions of people play instruments .. and quite well, but very vew people can accomplish what Michael did with his dance and vocals.

  • @ABCHealTheWorld music is about instruments...not about dancing. music is about singing live and not lip synching and doing the same dance routine for 25 years. mJ was so overrated. sammy davis jr was way more talented and nobody seems to remember him. why? because he never had the EXPOSURE MJ had. one thing is quality and another thing is marketing.

  • @giugnhgbvinierngvb89 Michael had to fight just to get a video on MTV because of his race! When he was with the J5, they couldn't even have their pictures on THE FRONT PAGE OF MAGAZINES !!!! Not only that .. you are NOT a fan .. THEREFORE you have NOT even listened to all of MJ's music !! Every entertainment head says "MJ was the king of entertainers and he was way more than just the king of pop" !! Every entertainer credits MJ as the king and for their career. And you say what?????

  • @ABCHealTheWorld prince was on MTV before michael. so what?? prince is black...and never wanted to be white like wacko. so shut the fucl up with that stupid argument.

  • @giugnhgbvinierngvb89 You are obsessed with Prince .. haha ! Btw, you spelled f%#k wrong.

You TOTALLY ignored everything I had to say .. so, I'm ignoring you. I don't talk with people that resort to childish NAMECALLING anyway. Bye now darlin'.

  • @ABCHealTheWorld HAHAAH u have nothing to say, huh?...so i guess i won. PRINCE WON. HAHAHAAH...look retard, the one that brought prince up was YOU. Now u did ur research and realised i was right.

  • @giugnhgbvinierngvb89 You're an imbecile and childish. Now you call me "retard" huh? Again, you're obsessed. Bye again darlin'.

  • @ABCHealTheWorld hey retard, dont call me names. im gonna report u because if trolling and stalking.

  • @giugnhgbvinierngvb89 ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.

  • @ABCHealTheWorld u violent freak, stop insulting bitch!

  • @giugnhgbvinierngvb89 This is the scoop, stop YOUR tyrades and STALKING ME .. or I TRULY WILL report you hon. I've done it before .. and I'll do it again ! Bye now.

  • @ABCHealTheWorld U have been reported already. Believe me, i dont talk shit with these things

  • @giugnhgbvinierngvb89 ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzz.

  • @giugnhgbvinierngvb89 Again .. Michael's entire body was an instrument ! His vocal abilities will not be matched in a millenium. Millions play instruments and so did Michael. If he didn't master the instrument, it doesn't matter. He was the greatest musician in the industry and industry leaders say so !

  • @ABCHealTheWorld his whole body is an instrument? so everyone else, retard. same as enrique iglesias....millions of people play instruments and very few master them. and very very few master and also MAKE GENIUS MUSIC WHILE PLAYING THEM,retard!!..

  • @NoarNoir oh really Q.Jones said that Michael can't write/read the music???????? How come? i have never expected!!!

  • Loved 4:52 - smoking kool-aid!

  • lmao a rat <3

    Off the wall

    Thriller

    Bad

    Dangerous

    History

    Blood on the dance floor

    Invincible

    This is it!

    ALL THE BEST!

  • now I wonder what he think about MJ having vitiligo.... it already confirmed in autopsy

  • does it? i dont see any mention of it ?

  • When comes to MJ, you have to do your own research, my friend. You would be surprise of great work he has left behind. Cause music media is not going to unfold for anyone when comes to MJ. In YT you can listen unreleased song/rap shout. He does all the rapping. It is awesome! Look it up.

  • Michael Jackson had rapping in Dangerous album. Listen to the song SHOUT, MJ does all the rapping.

  • I wonder what went soar between Quincy and M.J. KOP always thanked Q.for the success, but Q. was mute, or responded w/negativity. Thriller is not just Q's work, a lot of merit goes to MJ. Songs that MJ had to fight for to be in the album. Video-short film, dance, these where contributing factors to the success of Thriller album. IMHO Quincy was sublimely jealous of MJ. But, doesn't justify him to bash MJ. Looks like the issue between them is more of private matter, that we don't know about.

  • i think quincy loves michael but I think he has always been annoyed at mj having him produce albums after bad. when talking about michaels work/legacy he always talks about the off the wall, thriller, bad, which is obviously fine but he words it as if its the only good work Michael has done. And he said in one interview that Michael thought he was getting out of touch with the music industry and thats why he didnt use him as quincy was working with rap at the time which mj didnt think would last

  • When Bad didn't win in GRAMMY, critics wrote that "Q. should stick to Jazz & R&B, BAD is copy carbon of the Trhiler." Next day the word went out that MJ is looking for new producer. Q. was hurt. Calls MJ to ask him what are his future plans since he wanted to make sure are they going to work on new album or not. MJ says want to try new sounds, Q. was cool, says Tedd Riley is a good one. MJ didn't want to work w/ Q. after BAD album. MJ asked Q. to work on new album in 2008, Q refused. MJ

  • jeezo, I never knew that, where did you find that out ?

I love all MJs stuff but would have been interesting to see what him and quincy wouldve came up with working together again

  • It is here in YT, Quincy talks about it. Saying he was offered but refused it-"I am over 70' years old, having million projects to finish have no time for another recording (album)".

  • @NoarNoir

The situation that started the split in the relationship between Michael And Quincy was that Quincy was recording "Back On The Block" back in 1989 and he wanted Michael on the album. Sony Entertainment refused to let Michael work on Quincy's album. Quincy was furious at Sony and I think Michael too. Quincy felt that both stabbed him in the back and promised never to produce another MJ album.

  • @NoarNoir

There's a interview that Quincy did back in 1989 on the Arsenio Hall show back when Quincy was promoting "Back On The Block" and he mentions what happened. But that led to Michael working with other producers outside of Quincy.

  • @CafeObsessionTV Thank you for the respond, I remember that. I have a lot respect for Quincy, but MJ did photo shoot for Vibe QJ magazine ran by his daughter in 1995. Quincy is genius but he shouldn't blame MJ cuz the last biggest success he has achieved was collaboration with MJ. I mean QJ + MJ =magic in motion. QJ produced great artist, he received Oscar, man is a legend. But QJ is still bitter to this day, and did a lot of damage to MJ by denying artistic ability like composition etc.

  • @NoarNoir

I think..and I can't speak for Quincy. But, I think Quincy felt that Mike had the power to fight Sony on that decision and Michael didn't fight Sony. Because, let's face it, from 1979 all the way til '93 when the first child allegation, Michael controlled the business. So....I think it really rubbed Q the wrong way when Michael didn't side with Quincy and that carried all the way to Mike's death.

  • @CafeObsessionTV Label record always pulls the string, they are master minds to make and break the artist. I don't think MJ had much power as we like to think. In 70's MJ wanted Q in the team, not other way around, Q wasn't even sure he wanted to produce MJ. MJ always said that the best time he had was working w/Quincy, probably was the timeline that had to finish his album was prohibiting of working with Q's. Quincy produced mega stars since the '60s didn't need MJ to make a great album IMHO

  • Quincy and Michael became close friends during thriller. Michael talked to Quincy about his vitiligo and his lung problem long before he admitted it on Oprah and he didn't believe him. If Michael was lying he would have come out to the public and talk about it so that he is not judged. But he chose to keep his life private and suffer alone. I lost respect for Quincy after these statements. Ok he is a great producer but that's it.

  • So you don't like quincy cause he didn't believe michael had vitiligo? That mean's you believe everything you friends tell you huh? People are human!!!

  • a Pure Genius a producers producer

  • Let's make it right for Mike. mjtruthnow com

  • vinyl is old but it has an special sound and i love that

  • save the vinyl's music

  • vinyls is way better then CD's. you can hear de sound compression on CD's

  • @77 karolina yea but he has family history vitiligo and numerous other autoimmune diseases that he had. His physical being points to that. Have you ever seen michael's hands they are freakishly large due to these conditions. The skin condition has nothing to do with his dysmorphic disorder maybe the plastic surgery but he is an artist and honesty his choice to get those surgeries and so many people hold that against him idk why? One thing had had control ppl couldn't help but comment

  • @bauman743 um....yes he was.

  • The Specials, played on the very first day of MTV had a black member in the group. Remember Eddy Grant? You better chickity check yo-self.

  • @bauman743 As far as groups go. MJ was the first black solo artist. I give Eddy Grant credit, but no other black artist was on MTV til MJ's Billie Jean came.

  • False! Check your history!

  • i did & you are right. my apoligies(sp)

  • haha:P prince sucked compared to mj

  • uhhh......YeAh

  • @TheBojachaka Why the hate? They both coexisted as great musicians.

  • @TheBojachaka who said that Prince sucked?was it in the video?

  • @TheBojachaka....there's no comparing the two. Prince was a black pop alternative to MJ. Back when MJ first hit and when Prince first hit, 95% of the fn-base were black. So we liked MJ & Prince. Of course we all had our favorites. Prince wrote all his own shit and played every instrument needed. MJ was in equal proportion in talent with writing, dancing & singing.

  • Michael was an entertainer. He was untouchable when it came to dancing and performing. He put 100,000,000% into EVERY live performance. Michael had GROWN men fainting, crying and screaming at the site of him. The ENTIRE world loved Michael. You can go to the smallest island and mention Michaels name and the islanders will know who he is. Prince NEVER had that sort of impact. Michael gave over $300million to charities! He has sold more records than anyone! Prince is a pea compared to Michael.

  • @truthfulexposure...I never referred to who faints, how many loved him, etc. I'm speaking on merely musicianship in the "musical science" sense. I'm not talking about the consecutive sold-out MJ concerts. I know what he did. I'm not new to this shit. I own original J5 albums & more of a J5 fan than u know. I got the "Thriller" video on Betamax tape. Don't run down media stats to me. There's way more to MJ than what was covered. When have you seen an interview based SOLELY on musicianship

  • @truthfulexposure Actually The Beatles and Elvis outsold MJ, but he still sold allot.

  • I think Mr Jones knows what he is speaking about Michael' skin...it was not skin disorder, it was body dysmorphic disorder...and I am glad that he told what was he thinking becouse that is a big lesson for all the milions people who actually don't accept themselves...we all love Michael, he was really touched by God. Remember: be a good parents for your children to avoid for them this huge problems...

  • I don't know what your knowledge about vitiligo is but I am a teacher and I have a student that has this skin disorder. She is white and she has bloches on her skin that look porcelain white like a ghost. Now she is dealing with stress because she is preparing for the examinations to enter university. stress makes her situation worse...it's expanding everywhere face, hands...she avoids sun and she is using special make up to cover it and she is covering it(I only found out from her Mom).

  • some of her classmates make fun of her, others avoid her. She is shy and reserved because of that and she cries a lot. One day I was comforting her and she said to me that she is tired os creams and medication. There is also a way to make all her skin look the same, but it's very expensive and you just end up looking porcelain white. Imagine a black man with this disease, it kills you to see yourself turning to something else.

  • Bottom line: Michael had it and suffered alone. And when it got worse, he chose to have all pigmentation of his skin removed. He didn't want people to feel sorry for him and his health so he kept silent. One of the reasons he didn't want victory tour releashed is that the videos of this tour are the only ones that clearly show vitiligo in his hands, chest and neck. Even in the amateur dvd that is out, you can clearly see it.

  • Thank you for sharing experience from first hand what it is to live with vitiligo. People that don't have it, are quick to judge and ridicule others, without compassion. Thank you again!!!

  • Thank you Mr Jones for saying the real truth: "Lord adore him, he's touched by God " So very very truth...

  • this Q speech seems cut .

  • WHEN DID HE SAY THAT ABOUT HIS SKIN ??

  • mj was special, even great Quincy can't get it. He had many good personalities in human being. People can't get it eitherO_O . People don't believe it

  • spiritually grounded ??? (Illuminati)

  • theres no such thing shut up

  • was this before mjs death

  • JUST 100% RESPECT FROM BERMUDA

  • quincy really loved him like a son didn't he

  • The greatest producer alive

  • I agree whole with my whole heart!

  • I don't think there will ever be another musical partnership like theirs. Off The Wall, Thriller and Bad are landmarks in music, spawning 17 Top 10 hits between them, 9 of which were #1's! The albums themselves have sold a combined 160 million copies worldwide. Michael could've easily retired back in 1990!! When I think of that era (1979 - 1989), he was untouchable and there's no other word to describe it but magic! He once said "study the greats and become greater", he certainly did!

  • I love ur comment!

  • @filthyralph that's absolutely correct - during the period you mention, Michael was top of the world, no one was anywhere near him any way you care to measure. Q is a master and seems to have been exceptionally successful in every field he ever got involved in.
