In my opinion YES! :) Because of the split gear box, you take one pin out, the gun splits instantly so you can slide the upper gear/piston box out with ease, and pull the hop up and inner barrel out all taking 30 sec. Then watch the airsoftgi video for changing barrel, the video does a very good job. I got an airsoftgi 6.01 barrel and silencer for my gun and it all works great!!!

As for the battery compartment, it comes with the PEQ box, or you can fit the Kong Power lipos in the fore grip, its about 1 1/2 in. in diameter by 5 in in length...

not a dumb question at all. Decompressing the spring will allow the spring to extend and not be compressed as so in a firing position. When it stays in the firing or compressed position the spring will weaken and the spring will not extend as far due to the constant pressure on it. The forward assist is a mechanism on a firearm which pushes the bolt into position. Not always needed, but helps out. (Not too sure about the forward assist dont quote me on that)

I used the 11.1v 1100mah Kong Power LiPo battery. I ended up having to cut open the lead stuffing on the ends of the nun chucks and fold the leads over onto the side of the battery though so they would fit... probably not recomended but it created just enough room. :)
