The scene where the girl cuts her throat open with a scissors is partially in this trailer, but not in the U.S. TV trailers. I remember seeing this on cable as a kid and I watched it right after this other girl moves back into the house and she smashes the mirror after seeing a man in it.
seriously...is this the movie where a kid yells: "boogeyman" out a window and the window comes down on top of him and decapitates/crushes him? I remember that part from being it kid and have been trying to find the film ever since.
@pascuajo samen here.....never got quit the same afther and started looking for more and more....Now I'm braindead....and looking for more and more...
Definately looks like it is worth watching. Love the voice over of the style of the time. The repitition of the films title through out the trailer and the catch phrases. The way films were marketed then is so different from now.
I think it's also the fact you might of scared yourself but not many people had seen the distubing stuff..now im safe im not the only one! we did a low budget horror film 'The Veil' out on DVD 8th of Jan 08' check out my page for info horror fanatics...
I've seen this...it's scarier than it looks! In places music is like Halloween..but it's one of those films afterwards you are a bit disturbed about..leaves you feeling abit depressed and morose! You know the kind?..i mean the mirror is haunted- some shards of it affect some people across the water on another island! the impact of the curse shined across at them creepy! And the blood on the preist's face again..something wrong about that..it was on the cover too...
I only saw that film once... and that was at a drive through in Australia back in 1981 when I was 12 years old. My eldest brother married an Australian girl and I went there to visit them from England. There were 3 horror movies on that night and The Bogey Man was one of them... Talk about memories! LOL!!!
longtime since i saw this.
the myers house and amityville are in this.

SeanieMCash 2 years ago
Yes they had nothing to do with the Lommel films thou Part one was ok but part 2 was awesome and had Tobin Bell (Jigsaw) in it
flatcapman 2 years ago
i agree.
the 1st one was kinda stupid
SeanieMCash 2 years ago
Part one would had been better if they had made the monster beliveable with the new ones. I heard part 3 is out and its set in a collage

This was filmed down the street where I lived as a kid. I walked by the house they used in the first part of the movie. It would always be scare me.

A lot of people laugh this film off, but it shouldn't be dismissed so easily.
It was def "inspired" by 'Halloween', 'Amityville', and 'The Exorcist'. But it's still a spooky and unsettling little flick in its own right.
One of my favorite slasher films!

Its def one of Uli Lommels better films this was his best film ever made. The recent films he makes now are utter shite

Great upload. Glad to get to see this trailer. I'd thought about revisiting this flick, which scared me a little in my teens.
