  • I got the same problem with my Ford. I smell oil burning. Usually with a bad head gasket, the smoke is white, steamy and whole lot of smoke! I think my problem is rings or clogged ports or also, maybe bad valves and or guides. Also with head or gasket, the smoke is sweet/ no pun intended, that is the antifreeze you smell in your exhaust. Also, oil dipstick shows way too full and oil looks like coffee with creme. I do wish you the best with it.

  • looks more white than blue

  • i have a 96 crown vic and you cant see smoke but u can smell it and i cant pass it thru inspection....do sumbody kno da problem?

  • i have the same problem but mine is blue any one know wat it could be ?

  • @thepricylon Go to a certified mechanic instead of trying to find one on youtube???

  • it is slightly blue... its oil ppl

  • or even a blown head just becaust when my cutlass had a blown head the smoke was just as white and thick and idled too high

  • Lots of water you got there!

    White smoke - water

    Black smoke - fuel

    Blue smoke - oil

  • @darknessdel454 white smoke is not always water? bad modulator on auto transmission can go bad and suck transmission fluid in intake manifold it happend to me ounce. keep this in mind.

  • Head gasket or cracked head.

  • @steppenstone808

urgent ive been having squirts of light ""blue"" smoke what is that!

  • You got a head gasket crack.

  • I had that problem in a 97 t-bird and it was just a bad oil pump

  • First check the Oil level periodically after your next oil change.. if it decreases your loosing the oil somewhere (find it) Second.. Does the Oil appeare to be Milky in color? Take a lighter or a match to the dipstick with the oil on it. If the oil begins to bubble, good chance mixing with antifreeze. White smoke is generally water based burn, blue/black smoke is oil burning... If you checked the head and that is good as you say, it may be from the rings.. get a new car if older than 5yrs

  • head gasket.

  • did you change the head gasket? you can only get water and oil mix from a blown head gasket unless you have an oil cooler which is cooled by water which is highly unlikly

  • looks white .....but seems to be loads...water/coolant mixing???

  • yeah, the water and oil are mixed in the engien and in the coolant bottle...i recently took my head off and the head gasket looks fine...

  • yep looks like a head gasket problem
