Original title Slavic march was "The Russian-Serbian march" (composed of parts of the Russian and Serbian songs). Tchaikovsky make this work after the war, Serbia and Turkey in which they participated and Russian volunteers (Glory to them!). The commander of the Serbian army at the Battle of Adrovac (Serbia) was a Chernyayev (Lion of Tashkent), then was killed Nikola Raevsky (alias Vronsky, Anna Karenina)
