The sound is way off on this video. Too compressed perhaps? I love this song and video though, reminds me so much of watching MTV with my sister when I was a kid.
this should have alot more views than this man, this songs awesome, but still glad it got posted so the few of us who appreciate good music can still hear it.
The last great political song. Like a fire burning out with only the red hot glowing embers left to ignite the flame once again. Yet no fuel left to burn. The attempts are fruitless.
You can see the urgency in Sting. Hes hoping to touch the people with this song. REVOLUTION! UNITE! he cries.. watch him its true!
We are spirits in the material world now more than ever.
This cut is from Ghost in the Machine, a brilliant album, back when good artists recorded concept albums. "Invisible Sun," "Too Much Information." Truly great. And the album cover was ace as well -- back when you could see album art. Now with digital downloads, you don't even get liner notes.
Ii guess miles davis, stevie wonder, aretha franklin, chuck berry, louis armstrong, sammy davis jr, coltrane, jimi hendrix, BB King and Herbie Hancock added little to modern music?
Get a life and open your eyes to the fact that we are all people, and the color of our skin means nothing.
i would rather not get a life i meen i have one i am alive so i have a life, why dont u thingk before you write and i love all the artists u mention but getting a life has nothing to do with it
Well thought out response. You said something racist, and you took down the comment so clearly you did not mean whatever you said. I hope what I said opened your eyes to what you called, was it "n-word" music?
I said to get a life because posting racist remarks on a video is really unfortunate.
it doesnt sound right because you are hearing an actual studio/video recording, this isnt the band lip synching to the recorded album. most videos were shot with the audio dubbed in later
i grew up on the police, bob marley, the clash, the cure and new wave music. unlike most 15 year olds who grew up on friggin britney spears and matchbox 20 wtf is that shit?
because people don't know good music anymore, man... I just thank God I was raised listening to classic stuff. People in my generation are fucktards when it comes to music.

This is actually e remix of the song.Stings vocal mix is way up,as is harmonies are too. If you have the DVD "Every Breath You Take, the videos, most of the videos have stripped down versions of the songs.Listen to Spirits,Dont Stand,Cant Stand,Message,Walkin moon, all remixed.
great band great song n great bass line! u dont go thru the trouble of being this bad ass of a 3 piece band to hav someone else play yer bass line i believe hes playin n videos a lil choppy thas what i think
I think this is the best band ever. Each individual member of the band is arguably the best to ever play their instrument... but I may and most likely am biased. Not a song The Police did that I can't lose myself completely in.
That may be I can't vouch it was or was not re released on the album you speak of but it was very first released on Ghost in the Machine. I had a copy that I played and played. :)
Well it sounds like the vocals are running split. One high and one low and then relaid over each other. So instead of having a complete range you get the low and high emphasized. The high sticks out because of the quality I think.
The speed seems fine. But you are right it is different than the album version.
