His most important, urgent foreign policy decision is Afghanistan, so why is two weeks of reflection and debating over the said war considered doddling by the partisan Republican shown in the vid. I don't feel that President Obama deserved this just yet but it might just serve as a call to action and a standard for him to hold when he makes important decisions. It's curious that he downplays the award not only because it was a surprise but because it might heighten expectations for Afghanistan.

The Nobel Peace Prize lost it's value once Yassir Arafat won it. I think Obama is proving to be a lousy president, so winning a meaningless award like this is really not a big deal.

I'm sorry but TALKING is the key to PEACE, not dehumanizing your enemy and ignoring their concerns. AND, it was BUSH is repsonsible for the failures in Afghanistan and OBAMA is on the edge of changing tactics (the ONE we should have had EIGHT years) of reducing troop levels and refocusing on al-Qaeda and not the Taliban because anti-insurgent tactics lead to more death than anti-terrorism. More SOUR GRAPES by neocon tools. Where TALKING POINTS fail, real TALK can heal.

These people need to grow up and stop hating on the President. Obama done nothing wrong. He was given this prize. He fits perfectly the tenements of a Nobel Prize Winner as given in their charter. Has anyone bothered to read that?

The Nobel should be awarded to someone who has accomplished something, is that difficult to understand?
Martin Luther King,Jr was beaten, incarcerated, threatened, he deserved it. He spoke against vietnam, against the sad state of the America back then which is being repeated again in a different confict. Obama's political career, unless he declines the nobel, is over and done now.
