  • hello every body. I´m new on php and i´m trying to use this tutorial. I think is very good, but i´m not :). i have 2 problems. First after write the code with dreamweaver as a php editor, when i tested the page apear blank, wihout any thing. and the second, i tryed to add more fields forms using as example the other, including variables, but when i tested i only see 4 text fields the others 4 fields i add dosen´t apear. thanks an happy new year evry one.

  • Did you set up your test server correctly?

  • you should really use your own server its more professional i use my own server instaid of hosting with other's

  • @computertrick how do you get your own server?

  • you dont just get it you have to make it

  • @computertrick yer i ment what program, i just downloaded MySQL so im good now

  • good good :) have you also heared mysql have released a dll file for NET programmers in visual basic and c# ect ect so u can make login systems with databases non web based isnt that great! :D

  • @computertrick i thought u could before...:/ lol i wouldn't know - GREAT XD

  • but then you will have security issues and also it will reqire you to have a computer on all the time. also if its hosted wqith some one else they usualy will look after the computer maintanance and will makesure its upp 99.9% of the time

but i agree personal servers is the best (dedicated servers for the win!)

  • :P not really you dont get security issues for your own server. As long as u keep it secure yourself. For example all my anti virus software on my server will protect the website and computer its self. So its not really a problem and i build my own security software for my server also

  • British? :D

  • I got everything, I just need the login info for the index.php, wait...

    uhh

    dbConfig.php - login.php - logout.php - members.php - register.php and now i'm stuck lol

  • can you make a video that when somebody types there email and name it sends them a email that has there name in it and a message also

  • Great work Alex....as always

  • youve already done this tutorial before

  • You're right! Oh well, at least I've added a little bit of security and can't hurt to listen twice :)

  • @phpacademy so which one would you recom

  • Yeah it's a good idea to use this! For the sake of this tutorial however, I decided it would just be more code to look at. Thanks for pointing this out anyway!

  • whats your video format man???

  • I use XVID MPEG Codec at 800x450 resolution

  • Awesome dude! Thanks :D

  • You're welcome :)
