i heard you can give a female dog a sugery to not make babies and not have a period. that is what my friend did.

You should take her to the vet and get her spayed. That is a surgery that makes it so she can't have babies, and she won't get her period. It also can keep her healthier, she won't get some types of cancer, and she will live longer. It's best to do this when they are pretty little, but I think you can do it when they adult too. If I where you, I would definetly get her spayed. Good luck, I hope my advice was helpful!!
