Thats cuz when Cynder worked for Malefor and the dark magic and it made her an adult. But after Spyro KOd her, she reverted back to normal size =D

On the new series? Basically in A New Begining which the title speaks for itself Spyro's started over from the start. Cynder is a slave of the Dark Master and Spyro has to stop her which he barely does. Now Cynder has returned to normal being they're both born from the same group of hatchlings but they're not related. In The Eternal Night (2nd) Cynder runs away cause she feels bad for what she's done Spyro finds her and saves her. Dawn of the Dragon its fighting the Dark Master Malefor
