  • thanks for the tutorial ... nice, very well explaind !!!:)

  • i can't downlad that why?

  • I just want to say thank you for this tutorial. This reminds me of how cool the Internet can be when it is used for proper, decent purposes like sharing knowledge. I also appreciated the cool approach to teaching you how to do things the right way. I am a (French) fan! Merci.

  • @ChesterDesmond2009 you are very welcome! glad you enjoyed the video, I appreciate the support! have a good one :)

  • when customizing the icons on the docks i know how to change them. but when i turn it off and on it goes back to the original icon, How do i keep that changed icon?

  • Where did you get the dock appearance? I like yours.

  • it's called Leopard 2D Tile Light from the OS X Leopard Dock Pack by TSAElement, downloaded at wincustomize.

  • i tried stardock on my xp and it messed up my pc and i think its bad for my pc so i wont use it again... but nice vid i watched it...

  • yeah thanks, it took me a while to figure out it was a background issue

  • how do you make the big spaces inbetween the icon groups

  • right click on your dock where you want to split up groups (This Dock >) Add > New Separator. Depending on which background theme you're using, it'll either be a divider, or in the one I'm using on the video, just big spaces. Hope that helps!

  • just installed this on vista 32-bit and this is awesome

  • what do you do with the icons from your destktop after you put them on the dock?

  • i delete all shortcuts. if you have actual files and folders on your desktop, make sure to move them someone else. I had a friend that put everything from his desktop in his dock and thought the files were actually being stored there, only to delete everything and lose all his data!

if you don't want to delete things from your desktop, right click anywhere on your desktop > view > and uncheck 'show desktop icons'.

  • and lastly I would also recommend installing a free program called Fences, also from stardock. if you want to keep things on your desktop, this is great for organization and when you want to hide everything you have on your desktop, just double-click, then double-click again to make it all re-appear!

  • thanx that is really healpful

  • no prob...glad I can help!

  • thanks a lot the regular vista dell dock was bad but this one is better.

  • i was wondering what the dell dock was like, thanks for the heads up..and thanks for watching!
