Did anybody else know other than myself that the director, Carol Reed, was Oliver Reed's Uncle? Just a bit of useless information, you may like to know...?
really? cuz thats probably the reason he got the part! i feel that they could have cast a better suited actor 4 the part. in fact he is the only one that was not cast wonderfuly. ron moody is perfect 4 fagin, shani wallis is great to be nancy, but most of all casting jack wild as the artful dodger was an incredibly terificly awsome fabulous move and having 2 act next to the wonderful jack wild may just be the reason y mark lester didnt seem 2 fit the part of oliver.

Oliver's just a bit more shy. Dodger figures, "I either get it, meself, or no one else is." They made a great team! Shanni Wallis reminds me of Julie Andrews.
Yes, Sean Connery might have brought his own thing to the role of Bill Sikes had he been selected, but Oliver Reed did a good job himself. I think he Oliver makes a good villain where Sean makes a good hero.
Aw, thanks. I try to be unbiased in my views. Even at school, I had to be different and look at the flipside of the coin, lolz. I was the only one who ever looked at both sides of the story. Mind you, I do have a hard time making my mind up.

ya that's why he got the part. sean connery was actually considered for it (and probably could have played it better) but reed was selected instead.
