No, htc is launching many phones because there are many different people. If you want a larger device, then you should go with hd2. If your a heavy email/internet/text message user, you should go with touch pro 2. If you want multimedia, you should go with hd2. If you can live without a keyboard and you want a smaller phone, go with the touch diamond 2. And the android devices goes under multimedia of course.

yeah, but the downside is that only HD2 has Snapdragon 1Ghz processor the rest doesn't. That's why I not sure what to choose - 'cause I'm a "heavy email/internet/text message user" (so I need the qwerty keyboard) and I the monster-processor of HD2. Why HTC didn't launch a phone with HD2 specs and TouchPro2 keyboard?

well, because tp2 is 6 months old my friend, its always the hd that comes with the new generation. for example touch hd had the new 2.5 touch flo with alot more ram, after that in the summer came diamond2 and tp2 with same speces, so you will have to wait 6 months to get a tp3 with same specs. so you should buy hd2 and then sell it if tp3 will be good.

i have an htc diamond (first edition), i do love the look of my phone but i think htc figured out that the edges on the back of the phone that give it that diamond shape are to east to scuff and scrape so they made the diamond 2 flat, i pick the htc diamond 2

I was considering the HTC touch HD very seriously until I saw the HTC Touch Pro 2, its basically the HD minus 3.5 mm jack and 1 or 2 mega pixels in the camera and 0.1 or 0.2 inch smaller screen. But the Pro 2 totally makes up for that in the shape of an awesome Qwerty keyboard.

nahh... i pretty sure touch pro 2 has less mega pixels than HD, but then again, megapixels don't necessarily translate to superior quality.

These phones are always out first 'on' HTC. If you wait for a network-branded/locked version, it'll be out of date before you get it. Especially if you're in America.
