  • great performance, influencial as usual, keep it up radiohead.

  • if i were someone on that stage i would cry just being within 50 feet of jonny oh my god

  • i'd be shitting myself.. performing with my 2 musical gods.. holy fuck.

  • such a great concept sounded amazing

  • its like controlled chaos. nobody does it better than radiohead

  • Too bad Miley Cyrus pulled a hissy fit and refused to watch this...

    Her loss

  • @kimifan1989 Anger? Chris Martin adores Radiohead.

  • There are only a few bands that make chills go down your spine when the presenter announces that they are next...Radiohead is one of them

  • Can't imagine the anger of Chris Martin when he saw his wife telling the whole World how great Radiohead are.

  • @kimifan1989 What?!?!?!? Dude, Chris Martin has said himself that Radiohead is the best!! I know you're probably joking and your comment is cool but I just hope people actually know thats not true.

  • clap clap clap clap...clap clap clap

  • con esta cancion te pasaste Radiohead sos lo mejor

  • I would literally shit myself if I had the opportunity to play 15 Step with Radiohead at the Grammys.

  • Actually I heard this song for the first time in Twilight movie

  • You can tell when Thom is felling a gig or not in his performance... I don't think he was feeling this one...

  • all the 17 dislikes are from Miley Cyrus haha.

  • 0:55 to avoid Paltrow's insipid commentary and get to the good stuff.

  • @Delli2289 She winked at Martin and Coldplay before she said how good Radiohead was. Too bad the cameras weren't ready to capture the moment.

  • yeah thom's great but JONNY

  • @Swachitsky +1. Also, why 15 step when they have any song from any album before in rainbows? ah well- still very enjoyable.

  • i am sooooooooo happy that radiohead dissed miley fuck face and crackhead kanye , they are nothing but egotistic devil worshiping assholes that doesn't deserve my sympathy, so double thumbs up to radiohead <3 they made me an ever bigger fan, i don't see any of those fools giving their albums for free like radiohead did, "In Rainbows" was an album to have for "FREE" something these so called artist never do

  • @Diskotraxxxxx Dude, don't associate Devil Worshippers with Miley Cyrus. They don't need that kind of hate.

  • @cco43 yr so naive

  • WOHOO HİS GUİTAR İS SHİNİNG 1:28

  • I bet everyone at the Grammy's blocked their ears during this performance and were like "NO! This is real music! Turn it off! Fuck my ass!"

  • @AreaCode978 LOL. probably did

  • That doesn't look like them.

  • 15, dislikes. What happened?

  • @revengeguy Thom's worst attribute nowadays is his lyrical cappacity, he hasn't made proper lyrics since OK computer, greenwood vs marr isn't exactly the best comparison you could make, colin knows hot to make good rhythm and has developed extraordinaire bass lines (see TKOL), ed exhales atmosphere all over radiohead and phil is a hell of a drummer (see Kid A). Love Radiohead but some Radiohead fans are just disgusting....

  • @Ajani186 whoa that's a bit of a stretch, as the 15 steps lyrics are just as piercing as anything on Ok Computer. (also see: We Suck The Young Blood, All I Need, Pyramid Song, Motion Picture Soundtrack, Videotape, etc)

  • Radiohead is way too good for a live performance at the Grammys.

  • Look up "While The City Sleeps - Rooftop Dreamers", kind of similar industrial triphop techtures yet huge emotional crescendos.

  • Wow Thom looks like a fucking dork in this, haha.

  • It's as amazing as on the album. Wow.

  • The guitar riff in this song has always reminded me of Super Mario.

  • probably the only real people there were radio head- everyone else were robots who suck satan's cock to get famous.

  • and lil wayne got rockstar of the year that year, Fuck Lil wayne.

  • They played too fast..

  • damn she is on their dick

  • It looks a little off setting seeing Thom be on the stage like this, this stage is more for a flashy pop star. he seems uncomfortable to be singing without a stand lol. but hes pulling off some grooves witht he other hand haha

  • Comment removed

  • Coldplay are a good band. I enjoy their songs. I saw them live once in Toronto. Radiohead though are in a different league.

  • Somebody checked out "fall away" a b-side by Radiohead ?? (Youtube)

    It s AWESOME !!!!

  • @misosca ....not a RADIOHEAD song......good though. :)

  • @MrPashme9 ?!?! not a radiohead song?!?! PLEASE say more....PLEASE!!!!

  • ..and what'so funny about that...?

  • hate that here music is more loud than his voice!

  • I swear Thom is drunk here.

  • @5AU5AGEROLL No he always dances like he's stoned.

  • @RonaldinhoReborn Yeah I know, he just seems to be off the scale though in this one.

  • Ugh Gwyneth Paltrow....

  • @supperunknown: "Ugh"? I find her incredibly fuckable, and I am not whatsoever ashamed to admit it. ^.^

  • 2:28 LOL Jonny looks like Charlie Sheen

  • I love it when, in the Grammys, we've got a bunch of pop stars like Lady Gaga and Lil Wayne, and then there's one band that comes in, showing the emotional and chaotic side of music, as if saying to the world watching, "Yeah, THIS is how we get shit done". Awesome job, Radiohead, and the Spirit of Troy were great as well. :D

  • @TKOblue dont forget about arcade fire in 2010, shit they even won album of the year!!

  • @TKOblue Funny, I'd rather put Lady Gaga in the same camp with Radiohead. She's totally misunderstood.

  • @PorroFirst nah i understand her. shes a pop star that tries to act artistic. forget what she tried to do recently cross dressing and whatever, look back to when she started. shes just a talented pop star.

  • @PorroFirst: Ehh. I mean, I appreciate her uniqueness, but her songs can sometimes just get annoyng. I wouldn't really put her in the same camp as Radiohead quality-wise.

However, I do find her amusing and entertaining. She has my respect.

  • insult to injury...Gwenyth is presenting Radiohead!?

also, they're slightly the greatest band ever. just saying.

  • too cool for school

  • What a great guitar riff so invetive

  • i cant explain how much i love this song

  • after i saw this grammy's i just couldnt get this song out of my mind and i just had to find it

  • In my college, the only radiohead song people know is creep

  • @codywrite honestly thats lame, your college is really really lame, not knowing the rest of their music its like missing 99.98 % of the real good music; its unbelievable, I wouldn't want to be in a place like that seriously you should get out of there

  • @DianaSMusic1: Yes, let's jeapordize his education because the majority of the college's students don't share the same opinion as you.

*sniff* *sniff* You've got too much ego on.

  • @TKOblue who's got too much ego on¿? i really dont get your comment... BUT to get the record straight: didnt mean to hurt feeling; just the way he exaggerates with his comment, i wanted to overdo mine by making that statement, but i was just saying, not completely realistic, some way yeah, but not entirely, thats extreme. aanyway.... PEACE AND MUSIC

  • @DianaSMusic1: Oh, okay, I'm sorry. :P Sometimes Radiohead videos attract egotistic fucks who I loathe with a passion, and I guess my rage at one comment on another video blinded me to the fact that you were kidding.

Or I'm just a big retard. That's prolly the more likely one. :D

    Cheers.

  • i absolutely loved this performance so different and cool

  • How the F did In Rainbows not win album of the year

  • @SuperJonk Who won that year?

  • @hijack2094 I think it was Robert Plant and Alison Krauss.

  • @SuperJonk because americans pick crap over quality

  • @cb7pwn Hey. Fuck you.

  • @cb7pwn Robert Plant is not crap. Alison Krauss is a great singer too. Calling them crap is just wrong.

  • @SuperJonk because the grammys base their winners on popularity rather than quality

  • @Wolfreys44 I thought the winning album was really good. I think they are starting to change. Arcade Fire just beat Lady Gaga and Eminem for Album of the Year and Esperanza Spalding beat Justin Bieber for Best New Artist.

  • its so fast, even jonny seems to have trouble following the song..(and the audio is not the best, must say)

  • me no like this version.

  • @xDeeJayBee I'm pretty sure Kate Hudson also thinks about Thom when she's with that Matt guy.

  • wow radiohead on this seems so odd, dont think theyre gonna get nominated for king of limbs hahah

  • @starcraft108 Why wouldn't they get nominated? Even if they didn't, the Grammys are JOKE.

  • @talk45 I dunno, cos its too obscure and seemed like a non event, its absolutely brilliant though

  • @starcraft108 Yeah, I see what you mean. Can you believe Pink Floyd only ever won one Grammy and that was for an instrumental piece and worse yet, Zeppelin never won during their heyday.

  • @talk45 yeah i just dont pay much attention to music awards, theres lots of music and lots of different tastes and they just dont really matter

  • @talk45 the grammys used to be more leaned to awarding older artists from the 30s and 40s. It really got into contemporary music in the late 80's and 90's. thats why bands like led zeppelin and the beatles didnt get awarded any at the peak of their success.

  • has radiohead ever won a grammy?

  • @TheARJ15 Yes, they have won 3 GRAMMYs altogether. They were all for best alternative album. The first being OK Computer in 1998, Kid A in 2001 and finally In Rainbows in 2009.

  • The only reason I watched the Grammy's for this year was just to see this.....

  • @binder673 the same for me, although i was super pumped up by the performance especially cause the marching band idea was perfect for this song, easily the coolest theing i have seen at th e grammys before

  • Why would they do this :(

  • ed looks like a crew star

  • THOM YORKE IS A LYRICAL GENIUS

JONNY GREENWOOD IS THE BEST GUITAR PLAYER SINCE JOHNNY MARR

COLIN GREENWOOD HAS A SERIOUS GROOVE ON

ED O'BRIEN IS COOL AS HELL

PHIL SELWAY KNOWS HOW TO KEEP A RYTHMN

  • @revengeguy And you know how to spell "rhythm".

  • @revengeguy FUCK YEAH! Oh man, I'm sure you've seen Live from the Basement ... I love right at the beginning of "The Gloaming," when Colin takes a sip out of the coffee cup. He's so smooth and nonchalant when he does it. lol!

  • what a nice quality

  • @whatxthexfreak1 why is that funny

  • Only tools film their television screens and then put it on youtube.

  • They played the grammys.. wierd.. i love radiohead though.

  • bless, Thom took Jonny for a holiday to america

  • idiots

  • shut up gwyneth.

  • search "Radiohead Live at the 2009 Grammy Awards" on vimeo. Higher quality

  • @fede018 thanks.

  • its funny how Coldplay's Chris Martin's wife is announcing for Radiohead haha

  • @iChompGrizz69 No Joke...

  • @iChompGrizz69 Chris said 1000 times how radiohead are one of the biggest influences on his band !

  • @abbasitareq haha dude i know. coldplay is my favorite band of all time

  • @iChompGrizz69: Ehhh. I don't have anything against Coldplay (unlike many fellow fans of Radiohead, who seem to jump on every opportunity to be unnecessarily cynical sometimes), but to me they're just incredibly boring. I mean, some of their lyrics are pretty good, but the songs just seem bland and boring. That seems to be their image to me.

Nothing against you, of course. I'm just stating my own opinion; I prefer more rock-influenced bands.

  • @iChompGrizz69 wgats funny about it?

  • @jerolelmerol cuz everyone compares them, thats why.

  • @iChompGrizz69 for real??? coldplay sucks balls compared to radiohead..... get it right people

  • @jerolelmerol dude your gay as fuck. go to hell

  • @iChompGrizz69 im already there.... waiting for coldplay and your dad

  • two years later after in rainbows... just twilight?

  • @HeatherciTAT nope they have a new album

  • Does Radiohead have pretentious fans? OMG Totes! nodding my head like yeaah

  • I'm I the only that's surprised that a 5/4 song is being played on the grammys? I thought that was a bit too weird for America. lol

  • @Ajapam34 Very True

  • @Ajapam34 lol thumbs up thumbs up thumbs up :P

  • @Ajapam34 one grammys event doesnt speak for the entire country

  • @Schecter89ify Ahh. Good point. But generally speaking, it's true more often than not.

  • @Ajapam34 For me its 5/5.. however there are other Radiohead songs, with 5/10

    Bad audio btw.

  • @Artingence

There is no such thing as 5/5.

  • @kinversoni You're wrong.

  • @Artingence

No I'm not. There is no such thing as a 5th note. 5/5 would mean there are 5 beats in a measure and the 5th note gets the beat, which doesn't exist. The time signature of this song is 5/4 (5 beats in a measure and the quarter note gets the beat.)

  • @kinversoni Oh.. i guess i misunderstood you in the consequence of my ignorance connected to the english lenguage.. i thought you meant 5/4 as a rating.

  • @Ajapam34 Yes, because we Americans are all uneducated idiots who know absolutely nothing of things outside of MTV and reality television. You are entirely right, how could we ever wrap our heads around something of this stature? We are so below every other human being in every way. I know I for one have no idea what time signatures are and how anyone could possibly listen to music like this!

  • @elizabethnejlah wow, settle down. Although in hindsight I guess I should have said mainstream American television rather than America itself. The fact is that most people just dismiss anything that is even remotely different than the norm. I don't mean to be an ass.

  • @Ajapam34 I am only sick of the way Americans are viewed, but I understand what you're saying, and you're right when you say it's surprising that a 5/4 song would be accepted by the general public. It is only that you made it sound like Americans are below everyone else.

  • @Ajapam34 Young people need to hear something good.

  • @Ajapam34 I thought exactly the same! :)

  • @Ajapam34 Oh god what!? Bring out some 4/4 and C major NOW!!!

  • Oh god look at that wink as a sign off I WANT TO CUM ON HER FACE RIGHT NOW GET ME GWENTYH'S NUMBER I'M SURE SHE''LL COOPERATE YES TIME

  • i love being a pretentious radiohead fan.

  • Holy shit I can't stand her introduction. It's so annoying.

How can anyone tolerate her level of fake enthusiasm. Whoa man I'm literally trembling with blind fury.

I need to go raise some wildlife and kill it in a fit.

  • @Kamatzu lol best comment ever

  • lol thanks for turning it up for me

  • hard to nhear thom over band

  • Thank you for posting this! Still the best thing to ever grace a Grammy stage.

  • @radiogirl85 Definitely. :)

  • This should of won album of the year.

  • @BustaBylsma aksdjksadjaksdjkasjdkasjd i shat myself LOL aksjdksajdksajkasjkdajksdjaksdjaksdas really funny joke :')

  • Wow... I thinks it's so silly and almost ignorant to have an argument over these "comment" boxs' comments. I mean this spot is here for anybody to voice their comments aka their own personal OPINIONS! So comment or voice your opinion and move on... really. So... I ab love Radiohead and believe they are damn right awesome for doing their own artistic thing and making kickass music out of it. But after seeing them live many times I do believe this performance was not up to par though. Peace n <3

  • @BustaBylsma haha. damn kid when you grow up your gonna realize how idiotic that statement is. Couple years from now Miley will be irrelavent, while Radiohead has and will be contrinue to be one of the best rock bands in the world.

  • @BustaBylsma Hahahahahahah

  • @BustaBylsma Right on maynnnneee! f radiohead.

  • Is it just me, or did she say 15 steps?

  • 00:29 - 00:37 is wrong rofl. good band though.

  • @Opethfullcovers Are you fucking kidding me? They have innovated and influenced music such a great deal. Kid A is the best album of the 2000's. They are one of the greatest and adventurous bands of all time, and are widely considered so.

  • @justinorville Try again.

  • Comment removed

  • @Opethfullcovers Well obviously you don't understand that Kid A and Amnesiac completely knocked down walls for what music could be.

  • @justinorville Ok, I understand.. but the music I listen to is not mainstream and is faar more adventurous than these guys.

  • @Opethfullcovers Dude, who are you trying to fool? You have Opeth in your username, and Radiohead are far more adventurous than them. And if you can listen to Kid A or Amnesiac and call it mainstream, than you have strange ears.

  • @justinorville I'm sorry but Opeth is more adventurous than radio head. Stop replying.

  • @Opethfullcovers That's a joke dude, I've heard plenty of Opeth while you probably know barely any Radiohead. They're good, but they don't do anything new or original that the music scene has never been seen before, you can't just say a bands adventurous because you like them, they have to actually do something innovative, Opeth is just a typical progressive metal band. I take it you barely know Radiohead's music so please stop arguing about things which you know nothing about.

  • @justinorville Alright you know everything.

  • @Opethfullcovers Nope, not even close lol. I just know more about this.

  • @justinorville FYI you are speaking to an audio engineer. Radio is mainstream and hasn't done anything that hasn't been done before. Same old guitar melodies with the same old boring vocals over it.

  • Comment removed

  • @Opethfullcovers You just keep proving that you don't know the band man. They're specifically known for constantly reinventing their sound. They barely even used guitars on Kid A, Amnesiac, or The King Of Limbs, they do alot of bizarre stuff. For a song called "Like Spinning Plates" they played the harmonies backwards than reversed the recording to create a forward instrumentation. They constantly do things that haven't been explored, and that's why their so appraised.

  • @Opethfullcovers Radiohead's not exactly mainstream.

I can't remember the last time I've heard a radiohead song on the radio. [pun]

And there are a select few people at my school that actually listen to radiohead.

When I say few, I literally mean I know like 3 people that listen to them.

  • @natopotato22 But everyone knows who Radiohead is.

  • she's married to coldplay. BOOM. roasted.

  • I'm sorry, but if Radiohead is up for a Grammy, they should win hands down, they are simply gods, of course they don't need awards...i mean seriously, Grammys are beneath them, they are too good for them.

  • @TheNewMoon333

Go tell that to the 200+ music industry experts that voted.

  • @MrBen51309 I will =]

  • @TheNewMoon333

Have fun. You won't be getting my support.

  • @MrBen51309 Why would I want an idiots support? =]

  • @TheNewMoon333

I'm the idiot? Hey I really like Radiohead as well, but what you said was just stupid. There are a lot more talented musicians and songwriters than them. What I don't like about their fans is that they are ignorant enough to say that Radiohead are the best. Music is about opinion. There is no such thing as best or worse.

  • @MrBen51309 May I point out a contradiction in your comment?

Exhibit A: "There are a lot more talented musicians and songwriters than them. (Radiohead.)"

Exhbit B: "Music is about opinion. There is no such thing as best or worse."

    Wow.

  • @AniMasons

Exhibit A was my opinion. Exhibit B is a fact. Are you disagreeing with either of them?
