i dont usually comment twice but i gotta say this poem is so bittersweet, it really extended my view on men and masculinity and how they deal with love. i love the romanticizing of the city as being also bittersweet, the connections made. i love the ending because I imagine that is something a man feels but never says.
well, actually, there are exoduses that predict perdition for humanity, when a black person possesses power over masses, that means that religion also considers black people as a sign of evil, darkness, perdition, and moreover related to the devil.
i believe you need to look up more about religion and all it's contradictions, i am not religious but i can't debate blindfolded, if there's something i fear is ignorance.
I gotta agree with Baz here, GuruChick123 what the hell are you talking about? Why do you think you were mistreated based on your race? Were you the only black person there that night? (That seems highly unlikely) That just seems to be an arbitrary excuse. And why talk about it here? It has nothing to do with the clip...
AND I am pretty DAMN sure that if you ever needed a Damn Heart Transplant !!!!! YOU would never give a DAMN if the donor was BLACK, you would accept it, as long you get a heart !! WHich YOU CLearly DON'T HAVE !!!! I Guarantee it !!!!!!!
Jehovah God does not tolerate RACISM, and He will not accept it into his kingdom, so if you think that it is okay to hate other races because they are ten shades darker than you are VERY mistaken dude.......!
I felt so hurt...I guess it was because of the color of my skin, black, my features, why is being black such a nasty concept, Black people are humans just like any other race, we exhibit feelings, emotions, internal pain, joy, love, happiness, we excrete waste the same way as sny other race, we are no different from any other people, nations, tribes, tougue or any other entity.
I never made any reference about your poem being racist, I said that the people at the Bowery poetry club are RACIST, YOU need to pay attention when you are READING comments, Those folks who run and operate the poetry club are racist bastards, I went to the poetry one day with the intent to see a show the staff and guest treated me as though I was a different creature, they could not even make eye contact with me or look me in the face because I am a BLACK you racist bastards GOD don't like ugly
And besides, I know that you read and understand my comments all to well, YOU understand all too well what my comment are saying don't try to confuse it with your Poem.........!
the people at the bowery peotry club in the lower nyc are the most racist bunch of people that i have ever encountered with...the people there stared at me with disgust some could not even make an eye contact with me, that day i felt like shit and i turned around and left their premises i went to the poetry club with an expectation of going to see an open mic poetry performance but the people there were so callous toward me I guess it was I was a different "race" it hurt me so badly. black skin

YOU should not judge people by their SKIN COLOR nor their Physical Orientation, but by their condition of the HEART.......!
