Pretty obvious Marjah will be taken over by NATO, but all the main Taliban commanders, and key men would have fled with the civilian population. At the end of the day, you're basically fighting 1,000 or so hardcore men, and IED's. It's good you've actually managed to save civilian lives, but all this offensive does is push the Taliban somewhere else. Just a game of cat and mouse really, but with no end.

its spent on military because the taliban wont let us rebuild it. They destroy power lines to generators that power afghan cities. They tear down construction projects and blow them up when we leave. These are for the civilians. They are not military bases, they are to help the population. But the taliban come along so we have to spend more money on military. What are we supposed to do when they destroy all the shit we try to do for the peope.

and everyone, this war will likely drag on, hopefully it doesnt, but i fear it might. At first the fight was about revenge for 9/11. Then, our leaders made their own decisions on what to do, the soldiers joined to FIGHT THE ENEMY. Not to do what bush wanted, what barrack obama wants, or what anyone else wants. @FREEDOM4AFGHANISTAN to prove that, search up videos of the taliban, made by the taliban, videos of ied detonations. one in particular, the guy sits up on a mountain and watches the humvee drive over it while he is in complete SAFETY, he is even so far OUT of the action, that he sits around and films the heli crew medivacing the guys. Could he possibly b spotted.. MAYBE. but to get in a TANK, visible from miles away, with terrorists watching from all angles, every move, is pretty fuckin brave.

My leaders views are not my views. Marines fight for their own damn reasons. I know close friends in the marines. They join to kill terrorists and for all lost on 9/11. The reason people supported 9/11 is because America killed Millions of Muslims BEFORE 9/11. Just because you hate the Taliban does not mean the Afghans haft to hate them. In fact the Taliban came to power because they brought stability to Afghanistan and the people wanted them there. Afghanistan does not belong to America and we have no right to tell others how to run their country, that is why MOST Afghans HATE us. Just in case you didn't know the Taliban is not responsible for 9/11.

yes i know the taliban didnt do it. osama was, and people fighting for the taliban cause claim to be fighting the same cause, so it will be no doubt associated together. if i was in afghanistan, and my town was seeing violence, yes i might pick up a gun, as an individual. but the leaders need to think this out, as a whole people to make a decision that will save the country to bring stability. 1 person will not lay down arms if his brothers are dying, but it cannot be a 1 man effort

and this is a situation that would never occur i realize this but here: if all taliban would lay down their weapons in some kind of agreement with the u.s (never happen i know) we would kill NO ONE! NO ONE else. we'd have no reason to. Of course our leaders would implement some kind of government, but it would not be YOUR kind. The situation would have never occured if we didn't break international law & invade Afghanistan in the first place. We have no right to be there. The Taliban does not haft to do what we say because Afghanistan is THEIR LAND. We don't own Afghanistan. How can we tell them to lay down weapons in their own country? You speak about corruption yet the president we installed worked for an oil company and his brother sells drugs. Plus there are already reports of corruption.

The reason I brought up that Native Americans is because most Americans found it easy to kill and steal from the Native Americans because they had the same mentality towards the Native American as we do towards the Muslim world. Iran used to be an American puppet. But after they overthrew their dictator that AMERICA installed, we put sanctions on them.
