Nice video...a good variation on the set-up would be from knee on belly position....easy to slide the knee from the sternum to the opponent's chest with your foot hooking on his armpit...and finishing as you showed....nice details in your video too...Oss!
Great sub. I worked it in with my rolling partner and in really is a dynamic move that saves a lot of over movement in an MMA situation. If it is ok with you I would like to drill this with my students. Let me know if that is ok with you:)
@k3nd4lll at 0:47 of the vid in the transition of elevating ur leg to their armpit, larger opponents sometimes slip their knee in and recover guard on me. I think though, alot of times I am trying this technique when they are pushing on my knees rather than my chest. Does the move work in that scenario as well?
My favorite arm bar. It's surprising how often you can land this, especially from scarf position.
@k3nd4lll When you pin the arm down, as long as you keep control of the wrist they can't lock their hands. I had my buddy try it, it's because when you control the wrist and pin it to your hip, their hand is facing the wrong direction to get a good grip.
Think this move is sick! But didn't work out for me :/ maybe because I'm short? Only 5'4" so don't have good base when I mount.. But still very cool :)
Man I like that armlock I am gonna use that in no gi class tomorrow. I use an armlock like that from scarf hold but this one looks very tight thanks!!!!
@k3nd4lll while i suppose he could i haven't had it happen to me yet and when you pin it to your opposite hip the angle of the arm makes it difficult for them. when i run in to trouble is if i rush it and don't pin the arm to my hip. In these instances it seems much easier for them to lock their hands.
Hey jay thx for the videos, keep em commin bro....there awesome.........could you throw some sweeps in there from half guard n butterfly guard...i always get stuck there.......especially butterfly guard
sick! can't wait to try this.

I have ran into a problem of really strong guys pushing me away to create enough space to slip their knee in and recover guard, any suggestions?
