cranialsacral is TEMPORARY, costly, and generally ineffective. i know a therapy that makes incredible and permanent improvements to the skull and body. message me for more info!
Boris i have a question. Last year i sprained my ankle and my dad took me to this guy and wat the guy did he pulled and was lining up the ligements in my ankel wich hurted so bad i cryd alot but i ankle felt better aftr a week. Do u do like those kinds of treatment???? Like i wasnt sure the guy who fixed my ankle was a massage therapist or something else
@Firemanfh12351 as you described the procedure, I'm positive this person wasn't massage therapist. Actually we don't do such a techniques. I personally wouldn't recommend this kind of pulling, because lucky you didn't have some partial tears with in ligaments and /or tendons. Otherwise after act as described it could from partial tear, be escalated to total tear. I'm happy that after a week you got better.
You are so inspiring Boris. You have such a kind voice, and watching your videos is a vicarious massage for myself, they are so relaxing. Having watched all your videos, It honestly prompte me to have begun studying swedish and deep tissue massage. I hope that one day I might have just half your skills
Ilearn so much frm ur video, im thnician masseour at bigining of my way, i wonder how much do you work in a day, and if u get massage too,if u have hand pain.....?
I play football and workout three times a week XD But unfortunately, stuff like this isn't sometime I can get for free, or cheap. It looks awesome, but I will never know XD
Your voice is very relaxfull... i get chills over my body i keep listning to the voice and see the movements.. keep it up.
i also have a little bit of tension on the lower side of my back. my sports are wrestling and mma/freefight.. so i need to have some rest in my body..
I love your videos and have suscribed to get any new ones you post and enjoy watching them as if I am getting the massage it actually gives me goosebumps thinking I am the one getting the massage, this world of massage fasinates me greatly and it has been a dream of mine to become a massage theripist, I wanted to go to school to do this professionally, but a friend told me you have to become a nurse to become a massage therapist, is there any truth to this? :o(
I am very happy that you love my work. You don't have to graduated from nursing school in order to become massage therapist .The most important is that you have a dream to become a massage therapist .massage therapy is a healing art and with out dreams and the hard work you cannot succeed .both of mentioning conditions is equally important .
I am apologize for a late reply. Somehow happened that I missed your comment/question. Lymphatic drainage techniques as well biomechanical correction techniques that correcting a movement of sacrum can be helpful. No forcible techniques should be applied.

I play Cricket and this would be perfect for me....I get a lot of tension in the shoulders, and large knots in the muscles either side of the spine in the middle of my back. This treatment looks great.
great video. i was wondering, my friend's pulled or hurt his longissimus and trapezius muscle and i was wondering if u could recommend a massage technique to help relieve some of the pain?
I am glad that you like my work. in such cases of sprain/ strain we utilizing trigger point therapy, fascia/muscles mobilizations as well post isometric relaxation techniques. All mention above techniques and more I am proposing on my self injury management DVD#1. On the instructional DVD #4 I'm proposing this protocols for professionals to study and apply on clients. If latissimus dorsi also affected I would doublecheck all rotator cuff muscles.
Dear sparkloid . All my formal education in medical and sports massage and other tools of physical rehabilitations I have received at former Soviet Union. glad that you find it interesting.
hey, cool technique. but it is much easier, when the patient lies mor to your side, that the shoulder lies free over the the massage lie. i am german, sorry for my english!
thanks for this vid! i showed it to my sister because she can massage really good and i got now about 8 months serious pain in my left shoulder and after a few sessions the pain is now gone
" too much and too hard" doesn't sounds good to me and possibly can damage muscles, tendons , spine est. the question is what for" to push too hard" for more information view my
" nature of sports related injuries" you tube clip. professional sports type of workout is not about health. professional sports is a tough and health challenging show business. if you planning to become professional than read my articles and view clips on the subject,
I would like your input on electrical muscle stimulators.
I started excercising again and my leg muscles are always sore after running. I saw videos for machines that stimulate muscles; it can even be done as you sleep. It sounds reliable, convienient, and even safer.
Difficult to give advice because I don't know what kind of electrical stimulation machine you talking about. But to use it for all night wouldn't recommend and doesn't matter what kind of machine it. you described delay onset muscle soreness that have to be address. for better understanding I recommend to review my video clip on subject as well to read my article that can be found on my website.
sounds real silly but u shud try stretching b4 and after running, i got myself in a bad way from not doing so, the difference is unreal now that i do it, nothing beats real exercise most people will tell u
I don't think this will "cure" anything other than cramps. Of course it can cause you to be temporarily relieved and, but nothing permanent if you have a serious condition.
I would never really consider any kind of massage medical, unless you are just talking about relieving muscle pain or other basic stuff.
If you believe that massage can cure cramps then you already view it as therapeutic (medical) method. The method I demonstrate in this clip as well as teach and practice for over 36 years was developed through research by scientists and for more than 40 years of massive utilization proved to be very effective in treatments of skeletal muscular disorders, sciatica, sports related injuries, stress management, tension headaches, essential hypertension, TMJ dysfunctions, etc.
Nowadays doctors perform heart transplantation, but still have difficulties in treating muscular syndromes. I think you greatly underestimate the therapeutic capabilities of massage in cases of muscular pains.
The big problem today is the fact that that not many people can afford treatments for painful symptoms in neck and upper back, shoulders, elbow and wrist disorders, lower back and knee problems. This is the reason why I have developed 7 self management DVDs on this subjects.
There are many clips in this site that feature treatment from many various dysfunctions. You are welcome to post comments for any of them that you consider serious, and believe that massage is not instrumental in their treatment.
Boris, about 6 or 7 years ago I was doing the leg press machine with way too much weight and horrible form. Now, I have chronic lower back pain that has seemed to migrate from the right side to the left. I have had x-rays, and the only abnormality is that my lumbar spine is straight, not curved. Any suggestions on how to get this pain to go away?...I have tried doing the same exercise but with lighter weight and more reps and stretching. Will this help?
I have produced 7 volumes self management sports related injuries DVD collection.DVD#4 is a comprehensive home program for lower back. if to follow all instructions can be helpful . for more information please view my clip" lower back pain self treatment" Wish you get well fest.
uhm... i definately doubt it. Torn muscles do not usually like to be handled this roughly. you need to see a doctor... torn rotator usually means surgury, i think. Although, I bet after your surgury, massage would do wonders for the recovery process.
Dear Blademasta989. I agree with you that damaged muscles as well not severe damaged but strained muscles "do not like to be" and should not " be handled roughly".rotator cuff is a complex of muscles and tendons, injury of which not always lead to total tears. in many cases massage would do wonders for recoveris from injuries as well in cases of post surgical rehabilitation. For details would like to refer you to view my youtube sports injuris clips. Thanks for comment.
Just to save time Id like to refer you to my Youtube sports injuries clips where I explain in detail the nature of injuries, as well on the treatments options. See a doctor for examination. If a Dr will offer cortisone injection, ask the Dr. if other physical treatments could be helpful. From my 36 years of experience I can tell that surgery, hormone therapy should be the last option. In most cases rehabilitation can be done differently.
No. But Boris does quite a bit of wok with famous athletes, movie stars and political leaders. Soon you will see here a testimony of one famous bodybuilder.
Dear Boris , i had a question , see i have flat feat and at the bottom on my back it hurts wen i stand too long on my feet. I was wondering if i have to go see a massage therapist a few times to unblock something or treat it somehow? , thanx!
Sorry to hear about your problems. As far as I can see you have to address 2 issues. To purchase shoe insertions. the best is to see podiatrist who will prepare shoe insertions. as you described due to flat plantar you have developed mayofacial pain that have to be address otherwise you can develop a serious lower back disorder. soon will be available my treatment DVD for lower back and other regions. please subscribe in order to be notified.
example for need to incorporate elbow is sciatica. in this case muscular reflex spasm is great enough for need to utilize elbow and a special in kneading-petrissage #5.another case is if your client in comparisons to your physical capability are big and muscular I do recommend to incorporate elbow techniques. however when you incorporate elbow movements have to be performed slowly and pressure can be increased gradually only.I use nonallergic lubrications.
as you can see I perform manipulation not in sudden, forcible manner but gradually.secondly before manipulation I performed connective tissue massage( fascia release techniques) following by muscular mobilization. you can not see this techniques because this fragment is a short fragment from 2 hours DVD. it is safe and effective techniques.
Hello Boris, I am wondering about the term called "micro tears" A work colleague mentioned this to me when I described to him some muscular pain that I have had for while now in th eleft hand side of the trapezius, andleft scapula region. What would do you suggest for treatment? Would protein diet, exercise and massage treatment help at all for thi sproblem?
Vigorous exercise, sudden moves, local metabolic disturbances within fascia, muscles, tendons etc., could lead to micro tears in some fibers. One of the goals of post event sports massage is to manage these micro scar tissue formations. Otherwise, gradually, muscles and fascia will lose elasticity. The condition of gradual loss of elasticity will contribute intensity of pain and lead to more severe partial or total tears. Mayofascial pain must be taken care of.
Otherwise it can develop in a more serious problem. See a doctor in order to exclude other pathology that produces similar to mayofascial pain symptoms. Soon there will be available my DVD on self-treatment of upper back and neck disorders. There, in fine details, I teach how to perform self massage, trigger point therapy, hot and ice applications as well as special exercise program. If you would like to be notified on a day of release please subscriber to our channel.
Hello again Boris, thankyou for the information and advise, I really do appreciate it, as it's definitely handy to know. Osteopath treatment seems to be the best with massage treatment, rather than seeing a chiropractor, so I've been told.
Thanks once again Boris, have a good day and keep up the good work. It's certainly a good blessing to speak to someone who knows their profession well.
In regards to your question, please watch Boris' video titled "Medical Massage - Proper Bio-Mechanics." It's featured on the same channel as this video and you can see it in the list to on the right titled More From: MGaft1
Regarding your 2nd comment... As you described your sports activities and sport related injury, you must receive rehabilitative therapy that will include massage too. I highly recommend to carefully view and listen to all my sports injuries clips Parts 1 through 4. Also I will advise you to purchase when my self-treatment for Sports Injuries DVDs, which soon will be released for the public.
Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness is the result of neutrophils migration. This process is causing inflammation of muscles and results in pain. Your symptoms could be prevented if two hours after vigorous exercises, when the migration starts, youll receive the post event sports massage. If you already suffer from this condition then watch my clips titled Medical Massage Full Body Legs, Shin, Back... etc, which can significantly help in your condition.
Boris, what happened in the video editing at 3:26? I appologize if that question has already been asked. It seemed as if you were about to talk about the neck muscles or even Chiropractic work. Any information will be appreciated.
This clip combined of short episodes from 2 hours DVD#4 that contain full footage of European Cranio-Sacral therapy and more. The momentum at this clip that involved neck is a beginning of cervical region traction. May be technical support person supposed to cut it off but this didnt bother me.The followings footage after scapula manipulation is a short fragment from 3 hours sports massage DVD.On my webside you can find additional information onDVDs
Huh? Statistics show that massage therapists are thriving right now as more and more people are looking towards massage therapy to relieve stress. I'm a 19 yo student, and even I get a full body massage every few weeks.
The economic climate mainly affects the lower-income class, who wouldn't get massages anyway, and in general it just means that massage therapy profits wouldn't accelerate as much as they would normally.
On my sports injuries video clips I am explaining the reason why I decided to create self treatment DVD series.briefly will repeat myself:because of lack of time and/or money many sports enthusiast do not completing rehabilitation programs therefore exposing themselves to significant reinjuries that leading to difficult reconstructive surgerys and some time even creepil for good.My DVD will be affordable for low-income people too. who today low-income tomorrow can be rich.
do you think that 16 year olds who do weight lifting of 44 pounds should get a massage if they are to injured to moved their arms properly after lifing such a weight for 100 times in less then ten minutes?
negative effects of stress are not selecting low-income orhigh-income persons.Stress is main contributor to high blood pressure, diabetestype2,hypertension,clinical depression, tension headaches,TMD, sleep disorders to receive stress management massage is a necessity, because massage is the most powerful in stress management.probably not everyone can afford weekly massage.1in2 weeks is not enough.I have developed self stress managementDVD that will be affordable for everyone.stay blessed.Boris
this is a great video..my husband has a lot of problems with his scapulars and his back, so I tried some of you techniques and he loved it ! especially when he gets home from work (he's in the army) he's usually very grumpy and tired, so i give him a massage once or twice a week, using your techniques, and he's in a complete different mood afterwards ! thank you so much! :)
Good for your husbandGood for you. I have created 12 volumes DVD collections where in a manner like you see on this clip I teach utilization of massage in more than 60 different abnormalities. I mean everyone not only professionals can learn. this clip is a short fragment from 2 hoursDVD#4 were I'm presenting many topics. For more information you welcome to visit my website.if you interesting in study and can afford $49.95 I would recommend to purchase DVD.Best wishes
I believe that any lotion, oil, cream isgood for lubrication.some lotions, creams providing prolonged and smoot lubrication than others. We should be careful with lubrication that can cause allergy reaction therefore read careful labels.choose non allergenic.God bless America we have here everything.you can choose very good product that will be beneficial to your skin type too. some of us building successful results of massage on lubrication. this is a mistake.
The fragment that I am demonstrating is not part of shoulder injury treatment protocol but from protocol for biomechanical correction. for more information, you're welcome to visit my website (web address on the bottom of the screen) and to read content of DVD#4. This scapula manipulation is a fragment from DVD#4.soon we will download fragment for a shoulder injury as well soon will be out my new DVD serious on self treatment including shoulder injury.
I think Boris is the ONLY person that replies to EVERY comment. After watching this for the 500th time, I remember my older brother putting his fingers behind my scapula when I was a kid to intimidate me. It hurt :(
You're right. Boris answers almost every comment. It seems your brother, who unlike Boris wasn't a trained, experienced and talented therapist, probably has traumatized you. In one of the chapters of Boris' book "Simple approach to massage therapy" he describes human cells carrying emotional memories of psychological traumas and how massage can help to release it. It's amazing that by only watching his performance and not receiving actual treatment you've got some positive reaction.
Iappreciate that you mention chapter from my book.the theory that I believe in is that some people somehow carry emotional scars inbody cells that previously where physically traumatized secondary causing psychological trauma.many times when we mobilize this areas people start "crying out" related emotional heavy baggage.cannot explain mechanism but many times I see big improvements within people who were exposed to this kind of trauma and released it do tocoincident massage
to develop DVDs as well to cut out fragments and to download them is kind of hard work. therefore for me it is very important to know what viewers thinking about this clips. thank you very much for your comment.
Thank you for comment.if you find time to write to me:"Thank you, Boris! Can't wait for the new videos." I just feel that in my reply I want to thank you.also keep in mind that some people asking important questions.
there is no pain infliction in act of this manipulation but opposite.
I appreciate your comment very much. to receive comment like yours, is a great deal of pleasure and indication that people need and like what I'm doing. soon we will download more fragments from my video material. Best wishes.
Does this hurt? It looks sort of painfull, some of it. Just wondering? And can one feel a big difference in the body after a massage like this? You seem very talented, thank you for your videos! Greetings from norway
therapist shouldn't perform manipulation that will couse sharp pain. usually at the time of procedure patient experience some pain on the level of comfort.Chinese calling this kind of pain-"healing pain". it is possible to feel different-significant better after treatment like this.in1980 I have presented workshops at your country.Norway is a beautiful country. people are beautiful and good . also you have the best salted fish (hering) in the World.Best wishes.
Thank you very much for your answer, I appreciate it!
I see,you have been here! thank you very much for your kind words. Norway is a good country to live in, I love it. and please come back and visit us again :) We really like foreigners.. And yes, fish is our specialty :D
Dear antidote2010. I am happy that you could adopt some ideas from my clips.through decades since they were developed by scientists this techniques are proving to be safe and effective. scapula manipulation is a fragment from my DVD#4 and was researched and proposed by Bulgarian scientist Boris IvanovMD Phd. on my website you can read content of DVD#4.Best wishes.
The person that I demonstrate on many but not all my DVDs is a graduate from my programs who already 10 years experience wonderful practitioner working with Dodgers at Venezuela training camps as well providing therapy for basketball national team. according to you he is a lucky. but I am for sure lucky to have graduate like he as well a good friend like he is. appreciate your comment. Best wishes. Boris
God bless you too. thank you very much for finding time to let us know that our work does some good for viewers. this kind of comments encouraging and motivating us to download more of Boris' work. soon will be out self massage DVDs By Boris Prilutsky. the proposed easy to learn hands-on protocols was adjusted by Boris from scientifically developed methods for self stress management treatment and self sports injury treatment. Best regards
I am impressed. Myt compute has no sound, but as soon as I geet home I wuill watch this on my laptop. Even without the sound I can almost tell what you are saying through your gestures. Good Job!
picture equal to1000 words. I actually recommend to my students in the beginning to view DVD until thay will understand explanation on subject and after this to learn hands-on by viewing my performances with no sound. the fact that you understood subject by viewing only telling me that you are very talented person. I'm very happy that could impress you and thank you very much for" Good Job". Best wishes.
It's important to be passionate about treating people. You should choose a school that is mainly focusing on hands-on training and will teach you to understand all aspects of such treatment. The pure memorization of anatomy is not useful in a treatment room. To be successful, all aspects of treatment must be understood to the level of visualization. It might be good idea to study from my book, where I'm sharing my 35 years of clinical experience.
Dear zuchiro I am glad that you like my clips. Thanks. vigorous uncontrollable pressure that couse protective muscular contraction and will be ignored by practitioners possibly will inflict serious muscular injury, subluxation of spinal joints and more. on neck area massage if will include massage on carotid artery can endanger life. light prolong massage on patient with bronchial asthma can provoke severe asthma attack. Best wishes.Boris
DearPastor Jennifer. Techniques on this clip probably promoting relaxation but mainly very powerful methodology for rehabilitation from overtraining that causing biomechanical disturbances (please view all 4 sports injury clips, provoking pain, as well are precondition for injuries. massage is a very powerful method to treat and prevent stress related illnesses(please view stress management as well neck, lower back disorders and more. Please view my others clips. Best wishes.
Dear Shetyre. thank you for thinking on me so high. I wrote a book" Simple approach to massage therapy". in these book I share with readers my opinions as well philosophical and scientific approach to my occupation. message at this book is that in order to become good therapist you don't have to hold degree but must to love this occupation, to understand material but not to memories and alot to practice in order to perfect sense of touch. my feeling you love it. Best wishes.
In cases of bacterial infection utilization of massage therapy prohibit. however when antibiotic treatment will be successful applied doctor can make a decision to incorporate massage therapy include lymphatic drainage techniques.
My dear maxypooh15. thank you very much for a compliment. if you find the time to write nice comment I feel must to reply. I hope that you also appreciate my replys. on the other hand alot of comments contain important questions that I am capable to give advice that maybe can contribute to peoples health and well-being.
Boris, you have an economy of motion with your hands that is amazing to watch. Truly you are a master of your craft. I wish you the best of luck in both business and life.
Dear jabberwocky3k. thank you very much for your comment. I hope will be able to live up to your opinion on my professional capability. I liked very much your"economy of motion " expression. in my opinion it could be equal to clinical biomechanics. thank you for teaching me some new terminology that I will use in classroom. God bless you and best wishes.
Thank you, Boris. You're always so informative. I asked earlier, but I don't believe you answered. When can you come to Atlanta? I would love to attend a seminar. You're really serious about your work and you inspire me. Thank you again!
It is a honor and privilege to receive comments like yours. thank you very much. I do not have agents in Atlanta who'll organize my workshops otherwise would be more than happy. honestly you can study a lot from my DVD collection. from 1 side even better to study from the DVD because you can numerous times to review my demonstration and listen to detail explanation. please e-mail us and will send you discounted link for youtube users only.Best wishes.
If you decide to dedicate yourself to the career in health care then you ought to have a certain frame of mind prior to doing massage. The frame of mind that I am referring to is the one of healing power and compassion, rather than the one of sexuality. This career isn't for anyone, but for those who truly wish to dedicate their life to helping people. due to youtube 500 characters limit rules I will have to continue with next reply.
When I come to the massage table I feel bones, muscles, ligaments and facia, rather than paying attention at patient's sexuality. More importantly I see a suffering person who I try to help and believe me if you can relieve pain and suffering of a person it gives you a feeling of incredible power and thrill. Hope this answers your question.
This is very good information and I want to watch all of your videos that have to do with massaging, because that is a career that I'm looking into...thank you so much.
You welcome to view all my clips. also I would recommend to visit my website where you'll find my articles. reading my articles will provide you with additional information regarding this beautiful occupation. I wish you good luck and many successful treatments in the futures. Best wishes
hola! i am Stefan ! from Moldova , near Romania! i am 17 ! i like very much your videos! and i would like to know what i am need to do first for learning massage?!
I used to visit your very beautiful country. Kishinev is a beautiful city. Hospitality of Moldova people , music"Pelenitsa" and wine" Bouquet of Moldova, unforgettable. my feeling you have desire to become massage therapist and this is most important. find school that teaches methodology based on theory of Professor Sherbak. My 12DVD collections as well my book can be helpful to study medical massage. Best wishes.
I'm very happy that somehow my work helping you to feel better. As a person with research background I can tell you that around 30% of study participants demonstrate better clinical improvement to the placebo than to the original treatment. Humans carry healing mechanisms that in my opinion is not sufficiently discovered yet. Due to 500 characters Youtube rules I'll have to continue in a few more replies.
In your case positive reaction on viewing my performances is another or may be the same mechanism that is causing positive reaction in cases of placebo. I personally performed many pilot studies utilizing various equipment such as EEG, as well as equipment reflecting dynamics of cardiovascular system, in order to find out how viewing massage performances is affecting function of organs and systems.
Large enough amount of people participated in my studies. I can assure you that this is real stuff therefore highly recommend continuing viewing this clips. Soon my DVDs on self stress management massage and self management of sports related injuries will be out.
All the protocols I propose on these DVDs were adjusted from scientifically developed through research protocols of treatments. I highly recommend purchasing these DVDs and learning these very important self treatment techniques and especially due to nowadays stressful life. Subscribe or submit your e-mail to us and we will notify you on the day of release.
Thank you very much for the comment. I appreciate very much that you found time to write to me. obviously you care to express your satisfaction which is causing me a great feeling. Thanks again and God bless you.
I feel privileged to influence your career chosening decision. would like to invite you to visit my website where you can find some of my articles that can additionally help to learn about massage therapy. massage therapy is a scientifically based very powerful healing art. when one mobilize skin, muscles, fascia ,performing trigger point therapy it takes a lot of art.I which you to become a great healer. never settled on "feels good"only.touch always feels good
Dear Mizzledragon. I am very happy that you enjoy watching my video clips. Sometime people around me advising not to reply to every comment but only on this 1 that contain questions. I personally feel that if you find time to write for me so nice comment it is my pleasure to reply with many thanks and best wishes. God bless you.
Boris: a question please, if you will, totally unrelated to this video and one I think you might be able to help me with.
I'm very ectomorphic and recently I picked up a minor, (I think and hope), injury on my left knee. My question is being it that I am ectomorphic would it behove me to totally blitz my knees and the surrounding muscles i.e quads when I work out to prevent further injury?
Dear klinnsmankeanevilla. sorry to hear about your problems in a few days I will download 3 more clips on sports related injuries where in details will be explained treatment and management of injuries like yours. Best wishes.
We already uploaded on youtube my 3 clips on sports related injuries. please view all of them. I am positive that you will get answer on your question to the possible extent. Best wishes.
It take a lot of work, time and investment to produce 12 volumes DVD collection. but for technical support person Mr.Gaft was taking not less effort to extract 38 fragments and to download them on youtube. comments like yours giving us great deal of satisfaction. Thank you very much. Best wishes.
Dear frukostbord89. I would love to see that my English will improve and actually trying to make it happened. technical support person decided that on this clip will be short fragment from my 2 hr DVD#4 and shot fragment from 3 hrDVD#7. it is very difficult to study from so short presentation but possible to get some ideas. sometimes all over world I successfully present my live seminars using 4 different languages that not much better than my English. sorry 500 characters youtub limit.

You don't have to graduated from nursing school in order to become massage therapist .The most important is that you have a dream to become a massage therapist .massage therapy is a healing art and with out dreams and the hard work you cannot succeed .both of mentioning conditions is equally important .

Dear hatefullpain01.

I would like your input on electrical muscle stimulators.
I started excercising again and my leg muscles are always sore after running. I saw videos for machines that stimulate muscles; it can even be done as you sleep. It sounds reliable, convienient, and even safer.
I welcome your advice.

I don't think this will "cure" anything other than cramps. Of course it can cause you to be temporarily relieved and, but nothing permanent if you have a serious condition.
I would never really consider any kind of massage medical, unless you are just talking about relieving muscle pain or other basic stuff.
darkreign16 2 years ago
Dear darkreign16,
If you believe that massage can cure cramps then you already view it as therapeutic (medical) method. The method I demonstrate in this clip as well as teach and practice for over 36 years was developed through research by scientists and for more than 40 years of massive utilization proved to be very effective in treatments of skeletal muscular disorders, sciatica, sports related injuries, stress management, tension headaches, essential hypertension, TMJ dysfunctions, etc.
mgaft1 2 years ago
Nowadays doctors perform heart transplantation, but still have difficulties in treating muscular syndromes. I think you greatly underestimate the therapeutic capabilities of massage in cases of muscular pains.
The big problem today is the fact that that not many people can afford treatments for painful symptoms in neck and upper back, shoulders, elbow and wrist disorders, lower back and knee problems. This is the reason why I have developed 7 self management DVDs on this subjects.
mgaft1 2 years ago
There are many clips in this site that feature treatment from many various dysfunctions. You are welcome to post comments for any of them that you consider serious, and believe that massage is not instrumental in their treatment.
Best wishes,
Boris

Boris, about 6 or 7 years ago I was doing the leg press machine with way too much weight and horrible form. Now, I have chronic lower back pain that has seemed to migrate from the right side to the left. I have had x-rays, and the only abnormality is that my lumbar spine is straight, not curved. Any suggestions on how to get this pain to go away?...I have tried doing the same exercise but with lighter weight and more reps and stretching. Will this help?

I have a damaged rotator cuff and it hurts to pick up a piece of paper right now. I wonder if massage would help at all.
rivynaussies 3 years ago
uhm... i definately doubt it. Torn muscles do not usually like to be handled this roughly. you need to see a doctor... torn rotator usually means surgury, i think. Although, I bet after your surgury, massage would do wonders for the recovery process.
Blademasta989 3 years ago
Dear Blademasta989. I agree with you that damaged muscles as well not severe damaged but strained muscles "do not like to be" and should not " be handled roughly".rotator cuff is a complex of muscles and tendons, injury of which not always lead to total tears. in many cases massage would do wonders for recoveris from injuries as well in cases of post surgical rehabilitation. For details would like to refer you to view my youtube sports injuris clips. Thanks for comment.
Best wishes.
Boris
mgaft1 3 years ago
Dear rivynaussies.
Best wishes

In your video you use your elbows in some of the techniques. Is this neccesary, or can your hands be used as well?
Also, what type of oils/lubrication/etc should be used?
xStillFlyx 3 years ago
Dear xStillFlyx.
example for need to incorporate elbow is sciatica. in this case muscular reflex spasm is great enough for need to utilize elbow and a special in kneading-petrissage #5.another case is if your client in comparisons to your physical capability are big and muscular I do recommend to incorporate elbow techniques. however when you incorporate elbow movements have to be performed slowly and pressure can be increased gradually only.I use nonallergic lubrications.

Sincerely, Yehudi
yehudiadelphos 3 years ago
Hi yehudiadelphos,
Vigorous exercise, sudden moves, local metabolic disturbances within fascia, muscles, tendons etc., could lead to micro tears in some fibers. One of the goals of post event sports massage is to manage these micro scar tissue formations. Otherwise, gradually, muscles and fascia will lose elasticity. The condition of gradual loss of elasticity will contribute intensity of pain and lead to more severe partial or total tears. Mayofascial pain must be taken care of.
mgaft1 3 years ago
Otherwise it can develop in a more serious problem. See a doctor in order to exclude other pathology that produces similar to mayofascial pain symptoms. Soon there will be available my DVD on self-treatment of upper back and neck disorders. There, in fine details, I teach how to perform self massage, trigger point therapy, hot and ice applications as well as special exercise program. If you would like to be notified on a day of release please subscriber to our channel.
Best wishes.

I suffer from Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness, would this type of treatment help it
dudetube14 3 years ago 3
Dear dudetube14,
Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness is the result of neutrophils migration.

Given the current economic climate, I do not think this video is appropriate.
dogspawn 3 years ago
Huh? Statistics show that massage therapists are thriving right now as more and more people are looking towards massage therapy to relieve stress. I'm a 19 yo student, and even I get a full body massage every few weeks.
The economic climate mainly affects the lower-income class, who wouldn't get massages anyway, and in general it just means that massage therapy profits wouldn't accelerate as much as they would normally.
willzville1988 3 years ago 2
I think this is true of everyone, if you think about it.
dogspawn 3 years ago
Dear willzville1988.
On my sports injuries video clips I am explaining the reason why I decided to create self treatment DVD series.briefly will repeat myself:because of lack of time and/or money many sports enthusiast do not completing rehabilitation programs therefore exposing themselves to significant reinjuries that leading to difficult reconstructive surgerys and some time even creepil for good.My DVD will be affordable for low-income people too. who today low-income tomorrow can be rich.

do you think that 16 year olds who do weight lifting of 44 pounds should get a massage if they are to injured to moved their arms properly after lifing such a weight for 100 times in less then ten minutes?
supremerat 3 years ago 2
negative effects of stress are not selecting low-income orhigh-income persons.Stress is main contributor to high blood pressure, diabetestype2,hypertension,clinical depression, tension headaches,TMD, sleep disorders to receive stress management massage is a necessity, because massage is the most powerful in stress management.probably not everyone can afford weekly massage.1in2 weeks is not enough.I have developed self stress managementDVD that will be affordable for everyone.stay blessed.Boris

Cheers

Iappreciate that you mention chapter from my book.the theory that I believe in is that some people somehow carry emotional scars inbody cells that previously where physically traumatized secondary causing psychological trauma.many times when we mobilize this areas people start "crying out" related emotional heavy baggage.cannot explain mechanism but many times I see big improvements within people who were exposed to this kind of trauma and released it do tocoincident massage

x23ghost 3 years ago
Dear x23ghost.
Good luck.

you ever get a hard on when you massage?
jonfredricks1987 3 years ago
Dear jonfrederiks
If you decide to dedicate yourself to the career in health care then you ought to have a certain frame of mind prior to doing massage. The frame of mind that I am referring to is the one of healing power and compassion, rather than the one of sexuality. This career isn't for anyone, but for those who truly wish to dedicate their life to helping people. due to youtube 500 characters limit rules I will have to continue with next reply.
mgaft1 3 years ago
When I come to the massage table I feel bones, muscles, ligaments and facia, rather than paying attention at patient's sexuality. More importantly I see a suffering person who I try to help and believe me if you can relieve pain and suffering of a person it gives you a feeling of incredible power and thrill. Hope this answers your question.
Best wishes.

Dear delllllllbyyyyyy123,
I'm very happy that somehow my work helping you to feel better.

Part2.

Thanks in advance.

I do really enjoy your massage videos, they are really informative, constructive and entertaining.
But if you could please brush up your English so your teachings becomes easier to understand. :D
Keep the videos rolling otherwise, great material!
frukostbord89 3 years ago
Dear frukostbord89. I would love to see that my English will improve and actually trying to make it happened. technical support person decided that on this clip will be short fragment from my 2 hr DVD#4 and shot fragment from 3 hrDVD#7. it is very difficult to study from so short presentation but possible to get some ideas. sometimes all over world I successfully present my live seminars using 4 different languages that not much better than my English. sorry 500 characters youtub limit.
