Hey everyone! TvGuide's latest issue, the Cheers&Jeers/ Best of 2010 issue gave mentions to Eric Sheffer Stevens, our lovely Dr. Reid Oliver on the best in soaps 2010 page. They gave big props to ESS and called LuRe the couple of the year. They used a still of the kiss in this scene, the caption in the photo read-"World class duo: Luke and Reid shook up Oakdale". I'm so proud of LuRe and ESS.

I called the ATWT hotline and I was actually in tears when I was talking about the ending they have planned for this show! I know this is only a soap opera, but Eric and Van have really brought these characters to life and made them feel like "friends we really care about." I REALLY hope they "make love" this coming week and we hear some declarations of LOVE.....I read John Dixon arrives 8/27 and will stay til the very end of the show....

And the first couple of secs on this video he really has this really sweet teenager smile when he looks at Luke, its too cute!

You know, NOah has been gone for months and NO ONE has missed him atall.  Why didn't they just let him stay in CA., become a famous film maker, and live happily ever after. He and Luke already had the "friend" talk at Java. THAT was the most believable scene he ever did with Luke. We could have had our happy ending...What is wrong with the writers for this soap????

Regarding Luke: In the world of dating he is an absolute beginner. Did Luke and Noah ever have a first official date? Anybody? I simply can't remember. Maybe he never got the manual. I never got it either but I should hope that it says on the first page: "Never mention your ex in *cough* delicate situations ;-).

Why can't Luke admit what we ALL know....He has been totally in to Reid since early March, following him everywhere, ignoring personal space, always in Reid's face. He may not be willing to admit it, but something powerful happened between him and Reid almost from the moment they met....Love these guys so much.....they scream "soulmates." ATWT is foolish to separate them....

@reidstheman Exactly! In these interviews, these writers acknowledged the growing number of LuRe fans and people's fascination with Luke and Reid. They're not oblivious to what we're expecting- why are they disappointing us like this? It sucks, it really does. And it's amazing how insane their chemistry is on air! They don't even have to focus so much on talking about their feelings for each other for us to understand- we SEE it.

I absolutely hate the thought of those jerks putting Luke and Noah back together and had given up on trying to understand it. Then, when I read you comment about payback, I started to think about how the writers handled the Nuke story and how fans called them out (i.e., kissing ban, constantly breaking them up, neglecting their story).

Luke is still trying to move on from Noah and Reid understands that, but who's ever thrilled to have a conversation about their significant other's ex? Luke's mention of Noah seemed to just come naturally and that's to be expected after a long-lived relationship, but after all that Reid dealt with in past episodes w/ Luke, can you blame him?

The fact is that Luke is spending ALL his time with Reid and inviting him to family functions and out on dates. He has NOT seen Noah in a long time, and does NOT go running off to him when he finds out he's leaving. He sticts around Metro waiting for Reid to get back from wherever he disappeared to. He's doing his best to work through this WITH Reid. So give him a break, people!

I love seeing this since I read an ESS interview when he said how frustrating it is playing a role within a couple but having think about everything just because its a gay couple. Its great to see him trying to keep it as 'normal' as possible with the lil things

I was amazed that Reid resisted Luke after the kiss-altho at some level I understand it. This ep was like a thousand pizza guys ringing the door bell. It was exhausting. 'Oh', I forgot one more thing, when Reid is leaving Metro and he tells Chris to "drink some water". OMG! Could he be any more endearing and caring? I don't think so. What a gem this man is. We are so very lucky to be witnessing his performances on a (almost) daily basis. The sheer gravity of what we will be missing by not having him in Oakdale for years and years and years to come! The utter sadness. :(

But two of my favorite subtle things about this episode: Reid touches Luke's back after they make plans to go to Metro; and Reid touches Luke's hands when he gets up to talk to Chris at Metro. For someone who is closed-off, he's really trying hard to show Luke how he feels about him. Eric is very much like Van in that respect. They really show the "intimacy" of two people in love. It's not all about kisses and sex. Although we do REALLY appreciate your hot kisses and sex--when it happens!!

Please don't hate me, but if we are strictly talking about Van's acting ability, when Allison delivers the "N" news, his reaction is really well acted. You really feel like he has a history here. Love is never black and white or easy. And Van nailed that scene.

I am struggling with how I feel about this ep. I loved the first scene-a little frustrated with all the Chris interruptions, the mention of Noah is beyond annoying-and so not cool in a new relationship. What was Alison doing supporting the Noah was in your life thing? I was a combo of disappointed but didn't blame Reid for not staying with Luke. Luke is seeming immature and silly compared to our brilliant and gorgeous Dr. O.

I love his admitting how important Katie is to him and how he hasn't' had anyone like that before. I don't think he left Luke entirely because of mentioning Noah-he was worried about Katie and Luke is acting very clueless as to Reid's feelings.

Chris with his illness, while trying to convince him to tell Katie what's going on. Poor guy, that's too much on his plate. :(

Don't know what that means. I'm starting to feel that we will find the ending plausible-the way this is going. We don't want Reid to settle

@eldadevata After Luke didn't have sex with Reid because "all this" *vague handwave in direction of the bed* made him think of Noah, boring is probably not the first word that comes to my mind - and I'm so not the jealous type that it is embarrassingly close to naive *cough*. Maybe "mildly annoying" - no - "exasperating" ? - hm, not even close - "galling" - getting warmer...

I never did dating 101 - but I think it says "Never mention your ex on your first real date if you EVER wanna get laid.";)

@WhatAStrangeDuck But Luke has a point - it's not like they started going out and then Luke started talking about his ex - Reid knew Noah as long as Luke and they have a history too. Luke is sincerely trying to move Noah into the category of close friend, he just doesn't want to pretend that he never existed.

Possibly the honourabl and/or honest thing to do. But in this - how to put this delicately? - stage of their relationship maybe not the most sensible - no, wait this sounds so calculating - trying to think of another word - not coming up with one - NOT the best move!

@WhatAStrangeDuck This whole date night was AWKWARD - and part of it was Reid's fault (although it seems like for some people he can do no wrong!) Luke was pretty patient, if you ask me. And he was clearly wanting to salvage what was left of the evening - I think that kiss in the hospital got him really revved up! So, do you think they will really FINALLY get their timing right next week???? Here's hoping!

@WhatAStrangeDuck Well everyone observes the issue from its own point of view. One of the reasons why I’ve said that mentioning your ex with such “emotion” is boring, is because I was never jealous. I’m one of those rare persons that doesn’t believe that we own each other. I’m with the other person because I want too, if he wants to try someone new, who am I to stop him, but he will have to do it without me. I consider Luke’s behaviour as simply impolite.

@abaylor22 so ridiculous since Luke hasn't given Noah a thought since The Java scene and NOW, all of a sudden he can't keep his mouth shut when it comes to screwing things up by constantly bringing up Noah. I agree ARRRRH. Waiti tile you see part 2...double ARRGH
