I used to have a baby raccoon it's mama was shot and we took the one in! He was so cute and followed people around and when he got older got into more trouble then in his last few weeks with us he got quite aggressive toward people he didnt see regularly then we let him go! They are adorable tho!

@Skunkeeh That's probably a pointless question. Animals have their own personalities just like humans do and will be different depending upon the environment they were raised in. I always find it misleading when someone says such and such animal makes a good pet because there is no way to guarantee the behavior of another living creature they have never met simply by species/breed.

I had a baby raccoon once! (: We found him outside of our house and he was just a few days old. We bottle fed him and kept him. He was so cute and friendly and he was liter boxed trained. And if we had earrings he would twist them in his fingers and stare at them for hours<3 I miss him. ): We called him Meeko :D

Brings back memories. We had one of these. (several, over the years...) The last one wouldn't suck a bottle, had to feed it with a big dropper. But it would put the leg of a stuffed animal in it's mouth and such that for hours....made the same noise if you rubbed it....

@sellboy33 usually raccoons as pets are illegal in most states unless under special circumstances. This is one of them. Pick it up and take it in your home but keep an eye on it. It's probably a trick to sneak in and steal all your belongings and food.

How do you raise him? Does he have a big cage or do you let him wander around the house? My girlfriend and her mother rescued a tiny baby raccoon off the side of the road and kept it in a cat carrier and fed it for a while, trying to contact professionals to find it a home as they couldn't raise it themselves. Unfortunately, there are no raccoon shelters in town so the humane society had to take him away to be euthanized and his brain tested for rabies since they touched it.
