  • yeah when this is available to the general public let us know k thx bai...

  • Now if only someone would create a sequencer for the game gear like LSDJ or Nanoloop

  • EXACTLY.

  • okay i see the game gear but how the hell do you do it man, i mean you linked the game gear to your pc and use a mix program or something, you should make a video like "what is need to do chiptunes!" for dummys:P

  • iv already commented on two of ur other vids

how cum it says ur a muscian

    ur like einstein man lol

  • Umm you cant see anything

  • It's a Sega Game Gear MIDI Interface! Being controlled in real time from Ableton Live

  • @littlescale Does this mean it controls the onboard sound chip on the gamegear? and can produce any sounds that the onboard chip can from your Ableton Live?

  • @pastorrtom Exactly! (or you can control it from any other MIDI source - eg. MIDI programs or MIDI keyboard...)

  • hello man! great job!

i may be able to get a game gear pretty soon, is there any other way to make music from this machine?? thanks

    DroidON

  • cannot wait for the genny midi you got planned. this is sweet also. eventually I will have your genny midi and 2600 midi interfaces set up on my desk. its gonna be soooo sweet.

  • This is brilliant!

Out of interest, would your Master System interface work on a Game Gear, via the old converters which allowed Master System games to run on the Game Gear?

I have a pristine boxed Game Gear waiting for this either way : )

  • this IS my master system interface :-)

  • Hehe i see, great work man!

  • I recall as a child just listening to the music on the Game Gear version of Lemmings, as it sounded so nice. Versions of various classical and traditional songs.

I guess having access to these sounds, would be akin to a Beatles follower owning a replica of 1960's Abbey road!

Keep it up man, love to watch your video's.

  • Thanks so much for your support!

  • if you ever need a tester for this stuff little-scale please feel free to get in contact with me!!!!

really ecixted about the GG stuff. i have been asking about musical options on GG since i first joined 8bc and got into chiptune. it sounds gorgeous.

  • all i can say is...... finally. /me sighs

  • Yes! Been waiting for this!

Is it the same thing you're doin with the master system? In programming midi terms?

    Genius as always

  • -]. rah man what next, video pac? .[-

  • hi temphuibis how are ya man?

    what's a video pac?

  • -]. im cool man, still strrugling on my music video and video pac is an old console, probably even older than the atari, if you can change that into a music instrument, you can definatly do anything lol .[-

  • Wow older than atari! I've never heard of it, I'll go read up now :)

  • Please PLEASE PLEASE RELEASE SCHEMATICS!!! OR ANY TYPE OF DIRECTIONS TO BUILD THIS BEAUTIFUL CONTRAPTION!!!

  • wow !

  • That's so awesome! I love the chip-chirp of the Gameboys, but the sound system for the Game Gear always had more Bass to it. I can't wait to see some colabs between the two. :P

  • Damn i miss my game gear. Mine is burned :(

  • burned?

  • yeah.

I wish i could fix it .. i have games that i so miss playing. i even have a TV chip for it.

Btw mate... love the things u do with Ableton

I also a producer but i use only Reason.
