  • like it n love it

  • great song !

  • CHORDS PLEASE!

  • How can you be? Easy. Study the teachings of Joseph Smith the prophet. All of them not just the good ones. Then read Deuteronomy 18;22. Peace brothers..

  • @chopppacalamari Agreed. Joseph Smith predicted this church would fill the earth and although jealous churches back then killed Mormons and told all sorts of lies about him look where we are. The 4th in USA, 14+million, and the sun never sets on our missionaries. If want to find bad teachings go to Deuteronomy too where polygamy is regulated (if you think polygamy was a bad one he thought). What you can't do is follow bad and good things of the Bible like slavery and mistreating women. Thanks.

  • @bueno40 Slavery and mistreating women were not preached. They were talked about because they were present in the then time community/world. Would a prophet of God boast about having done more for the church than Jesus ever did? HISTORY of the church pages 408 and 409.

  • Actually I read your quote and responded with something the Prophet said that came true. Deut. said if he said something that did not happen we should not fear him. I told you about the church flashing before the other churche's jealous eyes even with all the persecution from day one to this day as you are doing here. But then, they were killing us, now they throw mud. Oh well... As for the accusation of his boasting, if you really like to read, this is for intelligent people (continues)...

  • @chopppacalamari that like to read and if you are sincere about getting an explanation you may understand this then:

    h t t p : (slash slash) en.fairmormon . org (slash) Did_Joseph_Smith_ (percent symbol) 27 boast (percent symbol) 27_of_keeping_the_Church_intact

As for slavery and polygamy: I have read those books twice. God check how to deal with a man you bought and if you bought him a wife, how you can keep her and the kids when you set him free after 7 years and then if he wants to stay

  • how nailing his ear to the door jam makes him your slave forever because it will be his choice since he wants to keep the wife and kids that are your property. It is sad that the Bible has regulations for this and not the words that all men are created equal (Deut. 15:12-18)

As for polygamy go read this and learn. It was regulated and Christianity comes from Judaism. Christ practiced it and only preached to Jews. (continues)...

  • @bueno40 "Christ practiced it" means "practiced Judaism" not polygamy... the way I wrote sounds like I believe Christ was polygamous.. and that is not the case. His religions approved and regulated it. He practiced Judaism but there is no proof he was polygamous himself. I thought I should explain those words before you made assumptions. Again, I will not make this video a forum. But you seemed misguided and I felt you could read and understand the explanation. Have a great week.

  • @chopppacalamari (continues from to Jews)... So, the source of the explanation to you that the Bible does regulate polygamy and not only talks about it comes from Jewish sources for you. Here goes:

    three ws . faqs . org (slash) faqs (slash) judaism (slash) FAQ (slash) 04 - Observance (slash) section - 55 . h t m l

Mistreatment of women? Check out the law of jealousy in Number 5:11-31 for example. There is more but that is not the point. (continues)...

  • @chopppacalamari (continues from not the point)... I was just pointing out ot you that things can be distorted even in books like the Bible that you tried to use against the Prophet. I don't need to quote Paul telling the to shut up in church and ask the husband in the house right?

Now, you can tell me that Christ abolished all that. The convinience of modern Christianity to pick and choose what to follow from that whole Bible is amazing. (continues)...

  • Respond to this video... (continues from amazing)... I say we need a prophet and if Joseph Smith was not one giving us this majestic church I belong to, you brother tell me where he is, because with so many versions of the Bible, churches and doctrines... the God people worship out there is very confused and confusing to say the least. I am just pointing those things because you, not knowing the Bible, (continues)...

  • @chopppacalamari (continues from not knowing the Bible) try to use it against us but it is a very problematic book. People killed Christ because they thought they had all they needed in the scriptures they had when he was modern, contemporaty. They did the same with other prophets as Jesus explained and you know what the Jews did to the apostles. Now they area all ancient and we like that. People never liked living prophets. It is a fact. (continues)...

  • Respond to this video... (continues from fact)... Christians are doing the same the Jews were doing, they deny the power of God to talk to prophets, to have one only church and so on. It is all based in the idea that the Bible is flawless and that they can derive authority from it. I went to a synagogue and saw people kissing the scriptures. Bible worshiping is not good either.

Now I will not make my video a place to discuss accusations. (continues)...

  • @chopppacalamari (continues from accusations)... Go check the lies people tell about us in FAIR LDS and The Maxwell Institute and you may see how you have been misguided by lies about the Prophet and distorted versions of what he said. I hope you do appreciate the time I took to answer you. I usually don't answer to accusations, only to sincere questions about the Church of Jesus Christ. Here I end my answer with a 30 years personal testimony that he is a prophet. Pace be with you brother!

  • @bueno40 Thanks for your thoughtfull reply, and with references for me to follow up I appreciate that. And I will follow those up as I am constantly seeking to learn. I try to know God better every day and the whole aim of my first comment was to get people to think, learn some more and think again. The lord works in mysterious ways and the devil is a master of deceit. Sometimes the truth is not all that obvious. Gracias bueno40 mi compadre.

  • @bueno40 You didn't read Deuteronomy 18;22 did you? No. but thanks for a civil reply. Peace brother..

  • SIMPLEMENTE ESTO ES HERMOSO ME HASE LLORAR CADA VEZ QUE LO VEO

  • The missionary on the left has a mean bowl cut.. Looks like Ben Stiller in Tropic Thunder..bahahaha

  • @sirhood2

    Mormons are Christians.

We believe in God the father & Jesus Christ to be the son of God .

Where do you get your facts from dude ?

& these boys are singing for what they believe in .

people who never existed ? I'm sorry, but were you around at the time of Moroni or Nephi ?

    I didn't think so.

I'm not targeting you, I'm just saying.

Just let it be . I don't see what all the fuss is about. People believe in different things & it's

    always gonna be that way.

  • @onstageagain If it is free, why should we give you our earthly possessions? Is it free or not? I'll tell you about the REAL golden plates. FACT! The original plates were made by a farmer who burried them and told one of the Mormon elders and the word got around. Smith dug them up, and when he got to them, they myseriously moved, burying themselves. He dug where they moved and they moved again. Yeah, he finally got them. How did they move? Satan had a hand in that one. That is the truth.

  • @onstageagain If it is free, why should we give you our earthly possessions? Is it free or not?

  • Gotta give it up to these Elders because this is by far my favorite(est) rendtion of Nela Otuafia's song -- How Can I be. I Love it yalls. Everytime I listen to this song on Youtube I always have to come and listen to Elder Qoro and Elder Lata. Yalls are the Best!

  • hey, ive always enjoyed this song. Love it to bits, does anybody kow the chords for it ?

  • Man, just enjoy the music

  • But our Protestant and Catholic fellow-Christians use it a great deal; it has a long and honorable history, and it's solidly useful. As the unabridged Webster's dictionary puts it, apologetics is simply "systematic argumentative tactics or discourse in defense (as of a doctrine, a historical character, or particular actions)."

  • Some might ask why professor Nibley felt any need to "apologize" for Mormonism. But, if they do, they misunderstand the word. Latter-day Saints don't use the term apologetics very often, so they can be excused for thinking it a trifle strange.

  • Hugh Nibley was, without question, the foremost apologist for Mormonism during the second half of the 20th century. B.H. Roberts was almost certainly the greatest Mormon apologist of the first half.

  • REXBURG -- A top LDS religious leader gave a rare unscripted fireside to Brigham Young University-Idaho students Saturday.

Elder M. Russell Ballard, a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, focused much of his remarks on how the LDS Church is viewed by nonmembers and the media. He taught students about conveying the message of the LDS faith.

  • Ballard speaks on Mormons in the media

  • you did NOT answer my question!

  • Typical! I ask a question than you answer back with another question.

"Do you think that is a sign of a sound mind?"

A sound mind is better than a clouded one. Whats your thoughts on spending over 3 Billion on a Shopping Center? I figure i asked another question because you spew over questions that you just hate to answer.

  • "I ask a question than you answer back with another question. "

My question helps you understand your question!

    How about some gratitude>?

  • Are you the same guy that is omiolo2?

  • HAHAHA << thAtS tHE GUy fR0M NA DRUA .. 0N 0f tHEM tWiNS

  • "The gospel has put life in balance. At the end of the day, whether I swam well or not, I was still going to be Lacey, someone who is loved, a daughter of God with divine qualities," she said. "When you have that foundation, you can reach as high as you want."

  • to the comment below;

Mormons are not a cult if that's what you're saying.

+ the song is amazing (:

  • These people use the word "cult" not even knowing its definition. All religions are cults which by definition is following a man who says he is God or the Son of God or has some divine connection with a deity. Judaism is a cult because they follow Moses, Islam follows Mohamed, Catholicism worships Mary and other good people. They all try to worship God though. Mormons believe in prophets, Joseph being the first, but we preach of Jesus and worship His Father. A Religion is a cult that becane big.

  • @bueno40 THANK YOU i'VE ALWAYS KNOWN THE TRUE DEFINITION OF THAT WORD!!! SOMEONE WHO UNDERSTANDS ME

  • @bueno40 and yeah we believe joseph to be the first prophet of the restoration but of course not the 1st prophet ever but I totally get you

  • @bueno40

Some Catholics are "cult" not all.

  • @PalagiHater23 The Catholic religion is a cult! Not the people. Like the Mormons, the Catholics are brainwashed. They believe in praying to dead people and bow to statues. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, but through HIM. Jesus! Not the saints, not Mary, not anyone, but Jesus. Why then do the Catholics pray to the saints who can't hear them? Why pray to a statue of Jesus hanging on the cross when it can't hear you? It's a mystery to me.

  • @sirhood2 Ok like i said not every catholic does that! A lot of people just go to church to pray not to a statue or anything we pray straight to God and hopefully he is listening to our prayers. We don't pray for dead people we pray for there souls that they may go to heaven instead of purgatory or hell. And pray for those people that have passed on that there souls may be forgiven.

  • @MissCorinaJane No. Mormons are not a cult. They BELONG to a cult! They are members of a cult!

  • @MissCorinaJane No. Mormons are not a cult. Their religion IS! They are members of a cult! Everything about their religion is man made. They have a false Jesus. We Christians, on the other hand, have the real TRUE Jesus.

  • I love cult music. That was hot!

  • i love thier voice....they sang this song so beautifully.......

  • i luv dis song.....yes im mormon.....'MUA MUA LE ATUA' always put the lord first. du his work with a sincere heart....and jus remember tu listen tu da xstill small voice

  • you both have really good voices

  • Elder Lata, are u Samoan?? just a question. my lil bro sang this in our Christmas devotional last year in our mission!!! it brings back some good memories!!! thanks Elders!!! u guys make me smile!

  • you r so cool elder lata and elder oror

  • cheea the brother from "Nadrua"

  • hey is Qoro from Na Drua?

  • yeah

  • You two are VERY talented!! Listen to those falsetto voices!! (: Amazing!! And I just want to let you guys know I love how you have your Books of Mormon set up just the way they are!! (: haha. Anyways, great job guys... One of the best duet/remake I've heard!! (: Keep it up. Preach the truth and share your testimonies!! Missionaries are amazing!!!!! Anyone who gets a chance, take the lessons!! (: Trust me. DO IT!!

  • @MoniqueToutai yea they need to record this is the studio its good

  • @MoniqueToutai They are great singers. Great duet! However, what they are singing about never happened and the people they sing about never existed. What proof is there that they did? Answer = THERE IS NONE!

  • First time iv heard of this son i love it and i love the gospel!!

    Stay blessed.

  • I love this song, I heard it by the first time in my mission, it was, and it has inspired me to be like JESUS. My lord, my master. my guide. I really really love this song. Its awesome!!!!

  • =) i love missionaries

  • 00h Damn they heellaa Tiqhtt.

  • MEAN MAREEE!! elder qoro's the mayn!

  • Joseph, I see that you just joined YouTube when you wrote this comment. I usually check to see who the person is friends with and what kind fo movies they like before I delete their comments that are offensive. So far, I cannot tell if you are sincere or just pointing fingers. The "losers" are people that come here to offend. I delete their posts. They don't want to know anything. Do you? What you said about Jesus is what we follow. The people are from the Book of Mormon. Thanks from the comment

  • @bueno40 The 'people' you mensioned in your message to Joseph Never existed. The book of mormon is Fictitious. Fiction. There is no evidence whatsoever to support it. Therefore, how can it be 'another' testament of Jesus Christ?

  • Can someone tell me who they are singing about? Cuz I keep trying to search these people, like captain moroni! who is this man? And what is a benadite or however you spell it..And you call people pathetic and losers in your comments but sing about how you want to be like Jesus. and the jesus I know, came in love. JESUS says " 'Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony, honor your father and mother,' and 'love your neighbor as yourself.......

  • Captain Moroni is a character in the Book of Mormon, first mentioned in the Book of Alma. The chief captain over the Nephites. He is perhaps best known for raising the "Title of Liberty" as a call to arms for his people to defend their country, family and religion.

Abinadi was a prophet in the Book of Mormon narrative, Abinidi visits the court of King Noah, pleads for them to repent. Noah and the priests of Noah condemn Abinadi and the wicked Noah has him burned with fire.

  • does Google work on your computer or what?

  • All the characters they sing of are fictional...with the exception of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

  • haha who said anything about horses?!?! haha.

anyway, science can only go so far my friend. then comes God. you can say what you want, but I know the truth.

    end of story.

  • well remember that the translation of the Bible has gone through numerous attempts of being translated by scholars and so on. the Bible translation today isnt the same as what it was when apostles, prophets, and missionaries first wrote in it. such as the missionary Paul. so we believe the Bible to be true as far as it is translated correctly. There are mistakes. but as for the Book of Mormon, the translation is correct as it was translated by Joseph Smith through the power of the Holy Ghost.

  • KGC04... I did block that person and I did remove the silly comment. The problem with these people is that they don't know that when those things were written there was no Bible. It is amazing how they don't think for a second. "New Testament" and "Old Testament" are inventions of the third century... so is the Bible as a whole. Those prophets and apostles did not write a Bible but separate scripts. But they miss the point. They quote as if the writers were referring to the Bible. It is pathetic

  • Thanks for watching out for the comments here. If it were not for you the silly comments would stay for all to see. For those who did not read it, we are responding to a guy who quoted a scripture that seems to be talking about the New Testament as a whole, but Paul the Apostle did not have the Bible, neither Jesus, or any prophet before or after them. The Bible was made by men who put it together. It contains the word of God but it was not something used by any original Christian.

  • @bueno40 true true the bible was put together by good men who wanted to compile so that everyone could have the gospel but unfortunately some corrupt people tried to use it to their advantage which is sad so I'm so with you on this one

  • yes it is as long as the authority of doing so comes from God our Heavenly Father. The scripture you recited is still true, but it only pertained to the book of Revelations not the whole Bible itself. In Deuteronomy 4:2 it reads - "Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you." Same scripture but it only pertained to Deuteronomy not the whole Bible :)

  • he restored it not made it up. jesus christ actually started the church. and he we say true church because we have the fullness. other churches have truth but not the whole truth. none of us said youre going to hell.

  • KGC04... thanks for defending the church. Those losers are blocked and their comments gone because of bad language and lies that they spread about the church. Some people have nothing better to do. It is unfortunate that they don't read their own Bible before they say things about priesthood, temples, prophets, and Jesus. If they were sincere they would want to know the truth. I am not going to spend my time replying to them. Make sure you only see good videos and rate down the bad ones. Thanks!

  • no problem, anything for the Lord :) check the other one I just did haha

  • where are these guys from?

  • I think one is from Fiji and the other from Tonga (that's what I remember from when I met them in the Dominican Republic when they were missionaries. I recorded another one they sang at a pizza place before we went to church and got this shot. Very nice song and that is why I asked them to sing this for me.) Thanks for commenting/asking.

  • Love it!

  • my fave ever!!!

  • go dominican republic!

i love this song and the church

  • Comment removed

  • who are the people they are singing about? is that mormon? i'm a little confused

  • They are talking about people that were faithful whose stories you find in The Book of Mormon. Nephi, Lehi, Captain Moroni, they are all found in the sacred record. Mormon was a prophet in that book, who told the stories of all the others. How can I be like them? That is the question of the song... because that would lead one to be like Jesus. : )

  • I must give the big "THUMBS UP" to brother nela for writing such an uplifting and inspiring song. MUCh alofa's

  • I know, its such a wonderful thing to be a member of the true church!

  • you call it whatever you want. we know, or at least I do, know whats true through the faith in my heart. youre right, the church ISNT the building, its the people. and the people make the church. and not everyone follows the rules, were not perfect. but we try. and how is adding to the bible a sin? if youre talking about the scripture in revelations, that only pretained to the book of revelation. and its not an add on. it was lost during the last dispensation and restored by Joseph Smith
