If you plan on ripping any more shirts any time soon, you can definitely use either tweezers or a nail clipper. I unfortunately lost my tweezers, so I used a nail clipper to shred the material on my jeans not too long ago. Doesn't take as long instead of using just your fingers. c:

I am a huge Metallica fan and I have that same shirt from a concert. I could not bring myself to shred it!! Too precious for me. But I would def try it with an old shirt to try it out.

A tip for anybody struggling as I was on one shirt, try a few shirts. My first one was hard to do, but the one I'm on now is so easy. It just depends on the kind of shirt and how it was put together. Hope this helps some people (:
