Being a native of salt lake hell yea I was at this show I think it was probably around maybe 20 degrees? Everyone was freezing there asses off, but when is comes to dmb I disregard the weather climate to see em.

I -love- ASTB as a segue, I have to say. I love their extended jam sessions, and I like that it gives every member a few seconds to show off and get the spotlight, which sometimes, depending on their set lists, doesn't happen any other way.

I still think my favorite Fake segue they've pulled is ASTB>>Too Much (Fake)>> Halloween. Simply epic when they do it.

in '08 they never played it directly into Ants, it always had the Too Much fake.

to be technical, ASTB was orginally just a jam they played with mike doughty in 96, they eventually shortened it and thought it was cool to seque so much to say into too much with it...since then they've sequed it into many different songs and even made it 3:00 long (which is annoying). they've played it a lot lately by itself with no so much to say before it

Partly true... Haven't played it much by itself - They still use it primarily as a segue, last year they did a lot of ASTB → Ants Marching... Some of the times they did ASTB → Fake Too Much → Ants Marching

apparently you and I are both very much into DMB...I remember the '07 tour I believe (without looking at the almanac) they would played everyday and not seque into ASTB but play it...yeah the '08 tour they did the too much fake into halloween (twice i believe) billies and ants...i think they did it into billies more than ants but ah well...I'm not a fan of the new ASTB (the also sprach zucharta, idk the spelling, interpolation)...at least you actually know your stuff on here!! thanks lol

this instrumental intro is actually kind a stand alone song which is usually played right before "too much"..it's called "anyone seen the bridge"..
