Very nice! But one thing is bugging me. Given the voltage between points A and B, and the charge of a particle left at rest at point A, we can calculate the speed the particle will hit B (supposing it will travel towards B), since Energy = m.v2/2 = V.q. How can the speed not depend on the distance between A and B? How does the particle "know" how far B is, in order to accelerate at the correct rate in order to hit B with speed = sqrt(2.V.q/m)?
thanku very much, i was so confused with the concept of what a voltage is, my text book's defination does not answer me and my teacher's answer did not make sense to me, now i generally get the idea of votage-
My teacher is impressed that I know this stuff. Only if she knew my little secret. :D
