  • Is that actually your job! :O

  • I would like to see more of these kind of videos

  • how do you afford to live in Japan?

  • OMG finally figured out he does this as a full time job.

  • lol fill-it..x.x'

  • @X8802 haha, I loved that... so funny... it's like a giant fuck you to frenchy things :3

  • haha tumbs up for the lady tryin to speak english! cute:D

  • @Therealsmua Depends, fluency is very very very difficult to survive like a native know by heart 2000 kanji and all katakana and hiragana plus a ton of vocab to start you off I recommend using kanji de manga

  • anybody know how long it would take to FULLY learn japanese ? like if you try to work hard at it ?

  • @Therealsmua Even native Japanese people don't ever stop learning. To speak at a level of fluency you would have to learn all the grammar and different meanings of words. To read level at a native level you would have to learn the kanji alphabet, katakana alphabet and hiragana alphabet. The hiragana/katakana alphabets are relatively simple to learn. Kanji however you never stop learning. Usually all natives learn around 2k kanji by the time they finish school. Thats about it!

  • @Therealsmua The way I learned how to speak "fully" German was, I learnt the basic German, you know how to ask for stuff etc. Then when I moved there for 3 years I basicly picked up the language as I went along.

  • @Therealsmua I assume you would have to do that for Japanese also.

  • @Therealsmua Well I've seen a 2 year course in a Japanese language school. That means you go every school day there for 2 years and you are good enough for every day conversations etc. Probably not 100% fluent at that point but at least you shouldn't have problems being understood. It really depends on the school and yourself. If you learn it by yourself it should take more time.

  • She is so cute!

  • 'well that was funny. huuh huuh'.

    LOL :)

  • Ewwww globalism.

  • I heard a burger costs $10??? :(

  • fillet is a french word, it is pronounced, or should be pronounced "fill-ay" everywhere, not just "on my street"

  • Lol how discouraging how you say not many people will speak english to you if they can XD still love the country

  • @rockjay2 I'm American (from Texas) and I and everyone I know says it "Fil-ay", however I'm sure other Americans may pronounce it differently. It may even differ from state to state...

  • Japanese are so friendly and nice (^ _ ^)

  • @nowayling1 and yet a website that collects english-friendly places has trouble to find those

  • its awesome to see you speak japanese

  • why do so many Japanese women I see remind me of my Japanese teacher and the one I had last year?? it's cool but kinda creepy lol

  • I'm from the UK and I say, 'Fillet' not, 'Filey', what am I? The fucking queen?

  • I remember some Japanese students came to my till a couple of months ago. They were trying to order, and had pretty much the same reaction as you when I started trying to help them in my broken Japanese xD It's always funny

  • @chacho6011 well Japanese, chinese, korean have been becoming much more popular.

i myself study about 8 of them But mainly only focus with Japanese & chinese.

many European Languages are hard, unfortunalty people thing those languages are easy.

some times when i get a positive comment on my japanese from a fellow American

they say wow it hear thats the Hardest Language in the world. uh NO,

the kanji looks really hard & it is, so its sometimes understandable they think that

  • @MetalHeart8787 love your comment i live in chicago in a area called pilsen which borders chinatown and little mexico and i heard one of the chinese schools teaches spanish to their chinese students, and the mexican schools teach their students chinese(mandarin) which i find very totally cool.i myself love the asian culture.

  • i wonder if that girl seen this video

  • Yay for aussies ^^~ we say "fillet" the aussie way aye ^^

  • Oh wow you pay and receive the food in the same window, they changed it where I live cause people kept stealing the food (yes I was one of those people).

  • So im guessing Ronald Mcdonald is Japanese 2???

  • @chacho6011 Me and the people i know started learning a language at age 8, now, a decade later, we dont know any of it.

  • @Pawnbroker00 That's funny!my first language was spanish till i was 5,then i went school and stating learning more english.by the time i as 28 i perfected my english and now at the age of 42 i perfected my spanish again.love different languages.especially my spanish.i just don't want to be a ignorant american that says SPEAK ENGLISH ONLY WE ARE TO IGNORANT AND ARROGANT.

  • smoking room ftw!

  • oh wow i see what you mean when you say that people in japan try to practice their english with foreigners lol, that was interesting.

  • thats the most beautiful mcdonalds i have ever seen

  • how long did it take you to learn japanese and how did u learn it... thats pretty impressive that a mcdonalds employee speaks another language...

  • how long did it take you to learn japanese and how did u learn it

  • we have shrimp burger in McD here in bulgaria, but i think its a promotion for just a few weeks.

  • Aww that girl is adorable! I wish American fast-food workers were as friendly...the ones I've encountered have always been rude.

  • @chacho6011 We already are pretty much forced to learn Spanish in the US. I understand the need for it, but I really wish we had more opportunity for other languages in US schools, besides French. I would have taken Polish or Japanese in school :-( My wife is Polish, and I hate that I can't quite communicate with her in her language yet :'-(

  • @MahBoi22 no, your not really forced to learn spanish only.it's your choice.yes i wish they did have other languages to learn in school besides spanish and french, but u have to realize that spanish IS the second most spoken language in the WORLD beside mandarin(chinese).Fact is, i hate hearing americans constantly saying SPEAK ENGLISH when they only know one language, and we don't make an effort to speak a different language yet the whole makes a effort to speak english and other languages.

  • @chacho6011 I guess times have changed. When I was in high school (and in early college), it was mandatory to have at least 2 years of Spanish. I do realize the importance of the language, especially in the US, English is becoming the minority language here, and Spanish is becoming much more prevalent. So I am happy I've learned what I have of it. It'd just be nice to have other options as well :-) But when you're in college, the opportunity is much more available, which is wonderful!

  • @chacho6011 And as for the whole "Speak English" thing, I have to agree with you on that one. I'm quite slow at learning other languages, but I really try to make the effort to at least learn the basics. Like I know the simple basics of Finnish, Japanese, really working my ass off with Polish, and I'm pretty intermediate at Spanish (I can hold a pretty decent, if simple conversation). Life's just more fun that way, for me at least.

  • this was a good video~ ty

  • @chacho6011

    I'm 13 and I know 7 Languages :)

Languages are wonderful, I love them!

  • @chacho6011 To what end? The rest of the world, generally speaking, strives to gain an understanding of English on account of its ubiquity and superiority, thus reducing the need for native speakers of English to acquaint ourselves with other tongues.

  • Here in Norway, which like Japan is a fishing nation, they have a salmon wrap, a salmon burger and according to my dad, they had a whale burger in the 80's...

  • the date you put this on is the 8th aniversary of 9/11

  • I love how you switch between English and Japanese so easily. I would probably stutter for about a week...

  • go dude.. this girl wanna fuck :D

  • its expensive to own a car in japan right?

  • @chacho6011 soon we won't need to with technology.

  • THE MEAT IS NOT THE SAME

  • AWWWW the cashier was so sweet and nice ^o^

  • A shrimp burger? That sounds interesting.

I love shrimp, but that sounds kinda odd.

  • They were so nice! X3

It surprised me aswell when the girl started speaking english.

  • @chacho6011 Isn't it mandatory in the U.S to learn Spanish? I live in Canada so i learned English instead.

  • @MrCadefulp no it is not, english is the main language but there are so many hispanics here that spanish is spoken alot .and some people have a problem w that.i speak english and spanish.

  • Ronald Mcdonald touched me in places when I was a child :(...

  • That young lady @ the window was a sweetheart!

  • Hey buddy great videos :D

But I have a question,is it hard to learn japanese?:/

  • The upload Date.

  • Question how do you afford to live there from making videos.

  • @cortezforever lol he actually has a job....

  • interesting

  • sorry bud, but I can't get over you saying "fill it" instead of filet (Fil-ay)

  • @hrblocked

Yes... not everyone speaks like they do in your street....

if you get a chance to travel overseas you will hear lots of different stuff...

  • @TheJapanChannelDcom Some of these comments from Americans give me a serious belly laugh. They should get off their street occasionally !

    Cheers.

She was very nice, the woman at the window. You don't get that in the States. And, the person in the window here speaks-knows even less English than she did.

  • @23penguins32

    lol "From Americans." Nice.

Your comment was pretty funny too, though. Maybe I'm lucky that way, but I always get a nice person at the window. You know, here in the states.

  • @SmashBroDx Ha, good point :) I should have said 'in Chicago' instead (not fair on the entire country). When I get out of Chicago, you're right, it's a different thing entirely. Well, on every count really. Cheers, man :)

  • @TheJapanChannelDcom ew burn lols

  • @TheJapanChannelDcom Do you pronounce the t at the end of buffet or Merlot?

  • @TheJapanChannelDcom Were did you learn japanese ?? i wanna know :P

  • @hrblocked I say Fill it too

  • @hrblocked Out of curiosity, Where is it you say "Fil-ay" As opposed to "Fill it"; I'm from the United Kingdom and everyone here also says "Fill it". I assume from what you've said it must be a french word?

  • @rockyjay2 I live in Seattle, but am from Kansas. I've never heard it pronounced fill-it prior to this video.

  • It amazes me that Japanese people in Japan know how to speak English. In order for me to say ''English'' in Japanese, I say Ei-go and they will say either no or yes in Japanese to tell me that they either do or dont speak english. I love all the videos by the way.

  • HAI

  • Aww, that was nice! I actually got walked through how to get food at McDonalds by a very helpful Japanese lady who noticed that I was foreign. So she spoke very good English and was very nice but wasn't a member of staff like your experience. I didn't need her help but it was the first time I came across a Japanese person who spoke to me on English.

  • Awh, she was cute.

  • i want to go to japan :(

  • I love your video! And it has over 9000 views!

  • fuck me, i never want western woman anymore, asians are so much better

  • I do like the video's where you speak Japanese.

  • Your videos are really good.

  • 動画主さんは、これが仕事?広告収入ですか?

  • its interesting you say fill it instead of fill ey

  • Hi, i subscribed to your channel just a day ago, and i was going to send you personal message asking more about u, ur job(profession). This video answered all those questions :) Thanks TheJapanChannelDcom

  • McDonalds in japan? Not very surprising to me becaus they are internatinal, heck i even seen one in russia before!

  • That was actually really awesome you got that on camera and how she was really not shy like how I hear they are. VERY COOL!! And how you gave her a little English crash course haha:)

  • i like this conversation

  • Macadonaldso

  • :)

Wow super friendly! Damn thats the real McDonalds shit....ones over here theyre just more evasive but they only there for the food order and the job, hah

  • wow i cant wait until im that fluent!

  • It looks like the service crew wants to practice her english with you. I saw in a defunct reality show here that in fastfood chain in Japan, when you finish eating, you're the one who is putting your leftovers in the trash and not the service crew.

  • Steal eating for men

  • They really spark a conversation with you cool

  • i wish i can order in nihong..,my jab is pretty bad lol

  • OMG! かわいいですわ~!

  • coolest mcdonald's lady ever

  • drive-a-way?

  • i have no idea why i said that o.e

  • i don't really like McDonalds yes a america that dose not like McDonalds.

  • that interview was so unexpected lol so lucky! I wonder if the woman knows she's been filmed :D

  • Drive-in cam... awesome stuff.

  • I nearly laughed my ass off in 3:46!!!! I hope they didnt see you...

  • I think her English was so good, and less than one of ten Japanese native students can use English like this!

I know that because I am also a Japanese native college student :)

  • She probably thinks your a big movie director...Not saying that your not..But anyways great video...I love all of them

  • I liked this video alot, her questions were normal. I expreienced this living in Italy.

  • Thats awesome.

  • I was in Japan about 2 years ago and had a Terryaki Burger god damn I want those here in Canada now I miss the yummy flavour ;)

  • that English caught me off guard!! and yes, she was awesome

  • that lady at mcdonalds her english was pretty good

  • She is a nice lady :)

  • I just got a McDonald's ad on the side of the video... how appropriate.

  • you sound like microsoft sam O_o

  • When I went to McDonalds in Japan I couldn't read the menu well and picked a drink with a green logo thinking it was some kind of melon or lime soda. Turned out to be green tea (which is A LOT stronger over there). The lady at the register was very nice and let me exchange it for a fanta soda.

  • Can you just pick up the servers there and bring them to America? She was so nice!

  • that girl must have thought u r some kinda movie director or producer or something. maybe thats why she gave u her card? maybe she wanted to be an actress? misunderstanding. lost in translation. lol

  • @amazo88 She gave the receipt to him. I know she used both hands.

  • @negchin oh. thats the receipt? i thought it was her card.

  • OMG! thats a five star mcdonalds!

  • ran ran ruu!!!!!!

  • this is your job? how much money do you get from youtube.

  • Yeah I know im a dick but I thought the way he says fillet is funny. Even in Nihon'go it would be pronounced Fi-Re-I

  • Will you make a video of going to Lotteria or MOS Burger or something?

  • Ah I can't wait to get to speak Japanese! It's going to be fun, I will make lots of mistakes, but I love a challenge!

  • I thought the McD burgers tasted a lot different than here...much better there.

  • What I wouldn't give to be able to smoke in McDonalds....nope, gotta protect us from ourselves.

  • I went to a McDonald's in Tokyo, they had "McHotdogs" lol and they had this flip over menu for people who talk english

  • y the embarassing moment?or u being a foreigner with a cam brings attention?

  • wow it looks like a cinema....in england its just a small hut -.-

  • Now, it looks like McDonald's in Japan WILL be different than in other countries. McDonald's in Japan will be offering four new artery-clogging giant "American" burgers - - - targeted to a country that has healthy eating habits and a low proportion of obesity. Hopefully, Japanese consumers maintain their good sense of healthy eating and do not fall into a junk food habit. Btw, these "American " burgers are not available in any American McDonald's.

  • I think it sucks that in Japan you can only get McNuggets as a side order.

  • WOW. The McDonald's has a revolving sign! Did you know that the Happy Set cups are REALLY small compared to McDonald's standard small drink size?

  • they didnt let you film inside, didnt they ?

  • dude i swear they have more mcdonalds in japan than in america sometimes. i remember this one station that had like 2 mcdonalds within 5 minutes of each other.

  • I went to a McDonalds in... i think Yokohama and i got an Ebi Burger.

  • Comment removed

  • no Gravyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy sheet -.-

  • Oh yay, I found the video you referred me to. The girl at the window was so cute, and she seemed very pleased to be practising her English with someone! ;-)

So thank you again. Now I'm going to check out your videos about healthcare and the hospital.

  • Terriyaki burgers sound good. I've heard the McDonalds in France serve wine. Do the ones in Japan serve saki?

  • Do they sell Big Tasty's like here in Portugal?

    º_*

  • awsome video is awsome :D
