I bought a new one. It looks amazing, I like the key board. Each and every key is isolated with space which minimizes the typing errors while typing. The grey metallic shade gives masculine look off course! :))

I contacted HP Direct concerning the claim in this vid review that the ProBook 4530s can be purchased with the 'standard clear display finish'.

This is false. None of the ProBook line has this option. They all come with only the matter 'anti-glare' display.

If you are considering purchasing this, I would first go to a retailer near you to play with a bit before you make your final decision.

Wanted to post this Q on your website, but there is no English version.

You mention in the vid that the display is available in both 'anti-glare'/matte finish OR standard 'glare' or clear finish. Can you confirm for me this is true? The matte/anti-clear finish is terrible. There is only a very narrow display angle for max brightness. Any deviation from this 'far-back' position causes screen washout!

I understand it has a matte screen, is that right ? is it prone to stains, fingerprints ? i mean are they more visible than on a glossy screen ?

@Slick23021991 I bought this unit ~ 60 days ago. I am very unhappy with the matte or 'anti-glare' screen. See my comment above: there is a very narrow 'sweet-spot' for max color/brightness, and it is a very large angle. Yes, smudges, moisture shows up readily. There is a reason no Mac you see has this screen: a clear display crystal is much brighter over a much greater angle deviation, less 'washout'. A clear screen is not an option, as far as I know. Terrible feature in a good unit.

The build quality of this device is great, the performance is good, but the display sucks. Low contrast, small viewing angles. But it's okay for the price i guess.

The main problemz i'dah tell you iz that of the touchpad , numeric pad en mozt ov all Battery problemz . I just got this laptop... its a BEAUTY!!! the only thing that I would say is that the boot up time slows down with the hp protect tools. other than that this computer runs like a beast!! I recommend it...

The max battery life i get at 35% screen brightness is 2.75 to 3 hrs. Is that normal, or shall i go for a replacement?

Ive not experienced any problem with the wireless network device so far (i download large files too). and the screen is GOOD.....my elder cousin bought a 4530s and dumped his old dv4 just for the better LED screen. Be sure to get the 9 cell battery because 6 cell did not satisfy me, atleast. I bought a 9 cell battery recently. sorry for bad grammar...

@WilliamAztech no william, it was a minor malware issue. I got it fixed. i know the perfect laptop. It costs a bit more then any hp or dell but you'll get what you'll pay for.... get a macbook :) and now that they have released bootcamp, you can use windows on it too... :) my brother owns a macbook too... :)

one think which is really frustrating is hp's software and no copy disc with win7, I just finished it and it took me 6 dvd's and over 6 hours! now I'm going to remove all hp software and do copy again without hp's software, after that I install what I really need! of course 4530s is really worth of its price!

Only some models of the 4530s have an USB3.0 controller. Mine doesn't have one (i5 with Radeon graphics), some of the i3 models and those with AMD CPUs have one.

I purchased a probook 4530s last night from newegg for $449.99 plus $9.99 ups guranteed 3 day shipping. I was really wanting a 17" but I think the 15.6" will be great too and not so big and bulky. purchased it a week ago exactly and loving it. highly recommended. you would love the feel of its body and keyboard. i did not find any con yet in it even battery life is extraordinary with wifi off and brightness to 35% i m using it for upto 6:30 to 7 hours for reading Ebooks and doing my assignments and with wifi on the net browsing and downloading about 5 hours.
