  • Actually two of the verses you hear on this video were written by Denise and I. Mill boss threatens us be on time and Cotton Mil Girls got a song to sing are original by us. The folk process at work. Maggie

  • R.I.P. Dennie!! from Biggy!! :( :)

  • I remember back in about 1960 ish, this song was made by Hedy West.. She sang and played the banjo... I havent heard it since. Good to know that this song is being carried now on YouTube. Excellent performance, and a great song !! There were 3 more verses to this song by her tho... but you made it fine by these verses...which would havv been lost otherwise. Thanks again !

  • Oh man! This is delicious!!!! Thank you, I just shared this with an old friend of mine named Stevi, her and I use to play in coffee shops back in the late 80's, early 90's. I still think she's got one of the most prettiest voices I've ever heard and that's for real. You can hear her on my song "When all We Need is Love", the maysey1 and bios36 version. Love the music and thanks for sharing! Mark

  • Yes! Real nice, man this kind of music just stirs my soul. Thank you so much for sharing these great great covers. VERY VERY INSPIRING!!! Love it! Mark

  • Wonderful! This is folk music at its best!

  • Ah, Deenie. RIP, sweety. Strange connection through recovery, but thank you for everything you've given. Love your music.

  • Mighty fine tune, Maggie & Denise. And, of course, Jim's guitar work is the bee's knees.

  • Hey, one of the instruments looks like the Finnish kantele, but that's usually played horizontally. How can you hold it up like that? Great voices, great sound!

  • Thanks a lot!

I'm playing a custom autoharp; it was built by Buck Lumbert of Traverse City, MI.

I use a guitar strap...you can't see it (unless you stand behind me!)--but you can see my little pick bag (holds fingerpicks when I'm not playing) dangling from the top strap button. Thanks for listening--and watching! --Denise :^)

  • Way to go, Deenie! You sound AMAZING! Miss you lots!

  • as usual, Denise and Maggie hit the harmonies right on the button.every time I hear them they only sound better

  • What voices!!! I love this because now I can see them every night!!!

  • Great job!! Love the way you can hear all of you!!
