Washing Machine running amuck

Our servis lasted about 6 years. It used to make a weird loud noise suddenly in the middle of a dark wash.. weird :L

@HotpointForever. Unfortunately I dont. I only know a little bit about it as we got rid of it a few years ago now. It was a servis washer dryer with 750 rpm spin. Not sure on model number but I know it was M3000B series. Millenium edition made approximately in 1998 to early 2000s. They did other items in blue like the fridge freezer I saw on ebay not long ago

i had a servis washing machine a few years back (nearly the same type)....the bearings got faulty after about a year and a half and smoke started pouring out just like yours but went at much higher spin....thought mine was gona shake itself crazy but then stopped and some of the clothes had oil stains on them after....so glad servis went bust...me sister also had a servis which also went the same way

the servis got stuck on the softening program and i couldent use it properly :(

shame about the losing, i used the servis like i do with the beko.

the aquamatic will be fitted on friday and vids will be up on saturday :)

ps.look at used whirlpool washer dryers :)

you forgot to take out the shipping bolts. if the bolts are left in-place it will prevent the washer from balancing itself.

@RosaBeha that's actually my washing machine and I got a good 4 years out of it before it finally died! The clothes from that cycle luckily didn't burn or shrink, just smelt a bit smoky, which vanished once they were dried on the line!

My Servis washer blew up on it's third load - complete joke! To be fair an engineer came next day and replaced the faulty circuit board, worryingly he knew about the problem!
