  • Holyfield maybe used roids causin his weird heartcondition?

  • "Regards of what you're telling, he wants to prove you're wrong."

Damn, that sounds just like me. Everytime someone tries to teach me a lesson I want to prove he's wrong, even though they mean it good.

  • @MrBumboclart i thought it was because of a back problem ?

  • I hate watching moorer vs holyfield first fight because holy was not himself. This peanut head was never a world class contender and am happy Holy came back to avenge this defeat! Holy is one of the greatest boxers in history with a heart and will!

  • That's why I respect Teddy so much. He keeps it 100% at all times. There is no way you can question his passion or knowledge of the sport of boxing.

  • teddy is a great trainer. it means everything to him.

  • teddy " scarface" atlas

  • @aznracerboi2k5 the dude was hardcore, you wouldn't know listening or looking at him. he was a street thug and was slashed up in an alley brawl - giving him the scar. it also stopped him from pursuing a career in boxing.

  • Davimos has Saturday Night Fever

  • fuck u jim lampley "how do u like it"

  • @supernova09100 That was Barry Tompkins who made that particular call in the Ray Leonard-Marvin Hagler fight, not Jim Lampley

  • @MikeHL78 well fuck barry tompkins too then

  • I think Foreman is one of the baddest dudes to ever walk the planet

  • Atlas was too much of a showman. Inspiration is one thing, but it is about the fighter. Watch Dundee for great inspiration, and I am critical of him too for letting Ali fight for too long.

  • lol @ evander having heart problems 17 years ago and yet he's still fighting today.

  • "He's not normal, he was never normal."

  • 5:35 jack nicholson in the backround

  • teddy atlas is the most overated self serving trainer in history

  • I love how Foreman never sits between rounds, stays standing. Thats a real fighter.

  • no need to watch this...you can see the end of the fight in the opening montage...lol

  • thats was missing from tyson's corner the night he fought buster douglas,if teddy atlas would have been there, tyson would have never lost a fight

  • @rapeyou8991 Im not a Tyson fan...but I have to agree with you. He would had gone through his career without a lost...

  • 2 people stood in front of Big George too long and got dropped.

  • if only moorer had a chin

  • check out the fights only seen on my channel

  • You have to read Teddy's book, "Atlas, From the Streets to the Ring: A son's struggle to become a man". I was glued to this book. Teddy is a true champion himself!

  • I love big George

  • Sweet AR at 337!

  • @3:37 WEAPON ALERT!!!

HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!! Moorer has an assault rifle leaning against the wall. I guess he lives in Detroit though....

  • @tscharf75 And? 2nd Amendmant kid we all need 1!

  • Holly shit look at the tall drink of water at 3:14! who the fuck was that?

  • @toadman842 - That was Mike "The Giant" White at 3:14, doing what he did best. His sheer size took awhile to adjust to, but then, TIMBER! He was a lot of fun on ESPN & USA back in the early- to mid-90s...

  • @wrwhitworth thanks for sharing...i thought it was a weird camera angle for a sec...i guess he was like the boxing version of bob sapp...lol...

  • teddy atlas is something else...

  • classic case where a left handed fighter is open too get hit with the straight right.Foreman hurt him with a huge left hook tothe body just previoud to the straight right

  • Foreman´s KO of Moorer was impressive!

  • @007rocksalotmann Tua's KO of Moorer was more devastating

  • I agree, but I enjoy Foreman´s KO more because of its historical significance and the fact that I am a fan of Foreman, not Tua.

  • I would have loved Ali-Foreman II... oo bad they never fought again.

  • @007rocksalotmann yeah, i have to agree about the impact that the foreman KO has. If only Foreman had the skills of his older self (more technically sound) in the 70s rather than a straight up banger, IMO I think he would've been champion for a long time.

  • heck, probably would've been a totally different outcome in the Ali fight if you ask me

  • @juiceeddieshow222

    Indeed it would.

  • Is Teddy Atlas the one who stuck the gun up to Tyson's head?

  • yeah, I think it was Tyson messing around with his sister or something, watch the HBO Tyson TV movie for a reconstruction although I don't know how accurate it is

  • @afallfromgrace Tyson attempted to impose himself on Teddy's very young niece.

  • A lot of people think Atlas was being a bit of a showman but I think Moorer really needed it.

  • @capablemachine he did, Moorer had no concentration.

  • This is the same trainer that Holyfield had for the second fight.

  • wtf who is that tall guy at 3:11? hes massive!!!!

  • @ammaco

That's Mike White. Guy was a tomato can...just a black Nikolai Valuev

  • George Foreman is a freak of nature, he has the awkward deliberate style and incredible power and calmness in the ring.

  • Yeah. And whoever thinks Moorer was a joke, check out 3:11! Not only power but a high threshold for pain apparently, because Foreman got HIT in that fight and just carried on ploughing forward. I agree with you entirely; I think he's quite incredible.

  • WTF??!! LMAO "George has sweatshirts older than Moorer"-Merchant

  • whats with the gun 3:37

  • I wish Teddy was in Mike Tyson's corner when he fought Holyfield. It might have turned out differently.

  • Teddy has his flaws and peopel generally have disdain for his passionate tough love approach...

Teddy needs the right fighter and despite his flaws, I think he HONESTLY cares about the fighter and doesn't just care about their KOs and wins. I think he honestly cares about their welfare. He showed that by criticizing trainers that take problem children under their wing and cover their crimes just to make money.

  • Not even Teddy would have saved Mike Tyson in or out of the ring. That isn't saying that Atlas is a poor trainer, not at all. It means that Tyson was so far gone and his self destruction, in hindsight, was inevitable.

A fighter is only as good as his weakest link

  • I agree self destruction at the highest level. If your spiritual at all. Tyson was brought down. I think.

  • im british and i say calzage sucks, fluking a fight against hopkins and beating a shot jones dont mean shit to me

  • If you want to make an arguement then i wouldnt then say that an unbeaten proven fighter sucks , cause no one will take you seriously

  • great champ, moorer won a great holyfield.... but even old foreman was a fuckig beast, the strongest boxer ever. and hardest puncher too.

  • Moorer was hard headed and stubborn.

  • yep, too bad for him his chin wasn't as hard as his head.

  • lol

  • @Whyavier haha couldn't think of a better way to put it.

  • moorer vs tony at light heavy, who wins?

  • how come the Kronk Fighters were all devastating punchers. Gerald McClellan, Tommy Hearns, MIchael Moorer (early in his career).. damn

  • because Kronk fighters were taught how to set up a knockout using the jab.

  • oh alright.. didn't knew that... thank you homie

  • teddy lives in staten i see that dude sometimes

  • Nice suit George ;) haha

  • You've got to be kidding.

  • ur a dumbass

  • Not sure if that's Foreman's son and/or what he said to him in there but George is indeed a humongous fake. You only need to pay attention to how he speaks to his cornermen inbetween rounds.

  • 2:00

George has sweatshirts older than Moorer LOOL

  • awesome line

  • LOL @ the rifle in Moorer's room..

  • OMG, Moorer took down a giant at 3:15

  • who the hell whas that guy??????????

  • nobody thats who! He was just a big punching bag that alot fighters built their records on.

  • I hate dicks like you who dont know their boxing the guy had just beaten evander holyfield in his last fight, he was knocked down in the second and got up to win on points, hes no bum

  • if you read careully dumbass I was talking about the big oaf(mike white) he knocked out. He was a bum that was knocked out by every contender he faced. He was a stepping stone that got a lot of fights because of his size. I wasn't referring to Moorer. He asked who the guy was that Moorer knocked out! By the way I have forgotten more about boxing than you will ever know. Know what you're talking about before you open your mouth! Dickbreath!

  • ur the oaf u stupid yankee prick calling people dumbass, i bet uve never boxed in ur life

  • ooh i'm the oaf am I? Wow what a gift for words you have! wasn't it you who misread my comment and called me a dick and you are offended by being a dumbass? well you're a dumbass times 2. I'd rather be a dick than a dumbass who shits on people cause he can't read.

  • fuck you

  • Mike the giant White. 6'10 I believe.

  • Gold medal winner. 2 time champion! I rank George 3 of all time. Never really koed except by himself. A real champion!

  • 5:25-6:14. If only Mike Tyson had that sort of trainer when he fought Buster Douglas and Evander Holyfield.

  • Teddy Atlas did at one time train Tyson, watch the episode of HBO's Legendary Boxing the Tyson story. He tried to rape Atlas's daughter.

  • no he didnt.

he otuched her up.dont know why teddy is pissed with tyson when the girl didt seem to complain.

never the less tyson is fucked in the head.

  • "Teddy approached Mike because his behavior was not only destroying himself but others around him. Another incident occurred where Tyson physically and verbally abused someone (the gender or age was not supplied). Teddy confronted Mike and with a pistol pointed at Tysons head, threatened to blow his brains out if he didnt change his behavior towards people. " I think this was Atlas's daughter. Never the less, Atlas did train with him(Tyson)

  • he didnt try to rape her he was going to hit her and teddy seen it and put a gun to tysons head and told him if he went near his daughter he would blow tysons head off...... thats when teddy and mike parted ways

  • Haha, so much controversy, I think it was Atlas' niece and Tyson grabbed her ass and she told on him. So then the gun incident happened. Watch Tyson: Beyond the Glory.

  • i have it on dvd

  • You're right. It was his niece.

  • I agree with you on the matter of Tyson's misconduct, but I was just letting "Chris82bc" know that Tyson was at one time trained by the great Teddy Atlas.

  • read the book about Teddys life, it mentions the tyson episode, & how he got the scar down the side of his face, i can"t recommend highly enough. he lives by a strict moral code, he was gonna kill tyson! he was also gonna shot donny lalonde who dropped him when he signed to fight sugar ray leonard in1988, he got donny in form & drops him when signing for sugar ray, losing teddy a massive payday! a great man & a great book!!!!!!!!!!

  • You read too many books! Let me recommend one, it;s called NO ORDINARY JOE by JOE COWARDZAGHE

He says on page 300, (2008 edition) Roy Jones was "washed up" and "finished" and he would "never wan't to fight him"

What a load of shit, this was the PERFECT OPPONENT for JOE COWARDZAGHE because he only ever fights BUMS or OLD MEN!!

SELL OUT + COWARD = JOE COWARDZAGHE

  • fuck off cunt!

  • JOSEPH COWARDZAGHE-Only ever fights BUMS or OLD MEN!

  • Damn right! And the bitch still went down!

  • ABSOLUTELY! The most overrated fighter ever. A close win over a Dane that never fights anyone. A "win" over Hopkins at 43. A "win" over a washed up Roy Jones. He hurts British boxing with his attitude because it proves that Brits don't want to cross the pond to fight. It may be true or maybe not but Joe makes it very easy to say, "Yes, Brits are cowards". Not saying it's true, but saying he helps the myth grow.

  • I have a newsflash for you, not one pro boxer is a coward, boxing is a brave men's sport. Especialy a world champ with an undefeated record is not a coward and certainly not a shame for the Brits.

That said I also think some people rate him 2 high, that's because of his mixed heritage. Italians love him, Irish, Brits,... In fact Roy Jones was a better fighter then him in his prime, the same for Hopkins.

  • You know what, you're a right, bcibib. I would never ever ever call a boxer--any boxer--a coward. What I meant to say was Joe Calzaghe took fights that he knew he could win. He never once dared to be great. That's not what inspires people. Beating an old Roy Jones and beating a 40+ Hopkins is no feather in the cap. He's a good guy and the British media extrapolates that into greatness. However when your best win is over Kessler, I have a hard time putting you in the category of Louis, Ali

  • Yeah, while Jeff Lacy and Peter Manfredo were rubbish compared to Joe Calzaghe, they certainly weren't cowards.

  • That reminds me of schmuckaloonies who would say Tommy Hearns absolutely sucked and had no skill or heart because he lost to Leonard (in one of the greatest and most hotly competitive fights every.)

  • mikel kessler..jeff lacy...you call them bums now after he beats them but lacy was unbeaten and suppose to be this huge knockout artist...joe fucked him up.joes the man so fuck you

  • Mikkel Kessler?? Who??

    Lacy?? Beat nobody!

Huge knockout artist?? What, against tomato cans??

  • he beat chris eubank aswell i spose he was a bum??...fuck off fella your an idiot

  • Eubank was a washed up bum by the time he beat him. He was losing nearly every fight he had! Add to that the TWO fights he had against fellow BUM Ray Close who was ROBBED on both occasions and we see how washed up Eubank really was!

  • joe calzaghe is a nobody compared to other well known champions. I consider Moorer, for example, a much better champion than him.

  • being a yank you would...

  • all your euro trash champs who are too cowardly to come over and fight in the USA

  • fuck u!! its all the inbred yank pussy's who dont wanna come over here!!

  • I am american and I can say that Joe Calzaghe was definitely a well established and very good champion.

There's just no doubt about it at all.

  • so there is such a thing as an honest american :)

  • @CatholicConversion he's overated

  • Teddy Atlas is one of the few guys in boxing who actually cares about the sport. He is so knowledgeable that he should have a PhD in boxing.

  • 3:17 hahahaha TIMMmmmmmBeeeeeeeeeeerrRr

  • and yea i know its replied

  • and if any 1 got off topic was u "mate" the topic was about foreman, not about spelling, which u brought up 1st

  • think its due to the fact no one gave ali a chance with foreman and thats why it has come to be such a talked about fight and how great of a win for ali it was. foreman would of been the hardest fight for Tyson (but who knows) I think cus had only told tyson to avoid them style fighters because of sonny liston's dismantling of floyd Patterson, Tyson had a much better chin

  • Teddy Atlas - The Best

  • First off any version of Foreman would give Tyson absolute hell. Styles make fights and Tyson was tailor made for Foreman. A prime Foreman I am pretty certain would havw defeated Tyson. Cus D'Amato Tyson's first trainer and father figure even told Tyson to stay away from fighters with Foreman style. And the reason Ali Beat Foreman was because he was a smarter fighter. He simply out thought Foreman and used Foreman's aggression against him.

  • bullshit buddy, foreman was ali's greatest recognizable bout, everytime they show a clip of ali they have 2 include d foreman bout, ali had lost his 1st fight 2 frazier,so thats when foreman got in the highlight of his career and knocked out frazier in d beginning of their fight, so according 2 that every1 tought that foreman was 2 much for ali but ali proved every 1 that styles make fights,n an ol foreman wouldnt had doen shit 2 tyson, larry holmes was like a foreman and got dismantled by tyson

  • I also know that I spelt necessarily wrong but it was a typo. So don't try and jump on that.

  • You could argue george being so much heavier than holyfield was a disadvantage, if he was lighter he would have had more stamina and speed

  • Ali beat a young george foreman, in his prime. Evander holyfield got a points decision on a 40+ year old man, who had a 10 + year lay off from boxing. This is not a bad bad reflection on ali's skills, its a reflection of the fighters george foreman fought. Ali's greatest fight was not just the george foreman fight! It was a big one, but the frazier fights were just as big. Also just being heavier than someone does not make you automatically better!...

  • I think that the difference between Ali and Holyfield/Moorer in fighting foreman, is that Ali had a plan from the beginning. I think that is what makes Ali great, he was a ring thinker. But I don't know.

  • Foreman beat the HW Champion of the World! That's what! He was like 45-46 years old when he did it. Moorer was stupid enough to stand in front of Foreman and trade punches when he had the fight won....stupid! Nobody, not Tyson , not Ali, Not anybody ever could have stood toe to toe just trading punches with Foreman and won. Foreman could knock anybody's ass in to next week. Exactly what he did to Moorer.

  • You CLEARLY did not watch the Shannon Briggs fight if you believe he lost that one.

  • Foreman was robbed aggainst briggs. I had Foreman ahead 117-111 at the end.

  • Is that a serious comment? You clearly no NOTHING about Ali's era if you say something like "Ali's greatest win is against Foreman, so what does that say about Ali?". Seriously, when you know the fight game and its history then comment. Until then don't comment. All it does is annoy those who recognise how ignorant you really are.

  • i know a hell ov a lot more than you trust me! if foreman wasnt alis greatest victory then who was?

  • Very unlikely. For a start you can't spell and have no grasp of grammar. You have probably misread the small bits you have read about the sport. Regardless, I was not necessaruly disagreeing with you that Foreman was Ali's victory. That is debatable but I could understand if you thought that. As for Ali's greatest victory, Sonny Liston and Joe Frazier are also names you might want to consider. I have lost count of how many HOF's he beat.

  • 2 godlikerich, and this isnt a grammar discussion, so u may kno spelling or grammar but that doesnt mean u kno boxing or it can go the other way around, besides u mispelled in sum uf ur comments so i wouldnt even bring that up if i was u,and if i mispelled or sounded 2 slang and u got a prob with that, then go kiss a donkey's ass

  • Stay on topic mate. What has me kissing a donkey's ass got to do with discussing boxing? I think I do know my boxing especially since I am a boxer myself - it helps to know about it if you are to compete. My spelling errors were typos not idiocy which is clearly what you and others clearly suffer from.

  • just cus u claim 2 be a boxer doesnt mean ur right, i claim 2 be a boxer and what?? and yes i know what d fuck ur saying about run off words, but buddy u r offending others 4 the same mistakes that u r doing, may b their words r "typos" also.

  • What all that rubbish you just typed was typos? I don't think so. My bringing up spelling was merely pointing out that it dilutes whatever your trying to say - especially since I can't understand it with no punctuation. And what has me boxing got to do with anything. Well it helps to know about boxing to be a better fighter. Simple point really.

  • yea i noticed i 4got the punctuation, i knew u were gonna say sumethin about it, but anywho, you're the one that mention u r a boxer, without me asking, and i simply reply and asked so what of it?

  • i read your rant godlikerich Just cos your a boxer doesnt mean jack shit and what boxer bitches about spelling i bet your not even a boxer you should call yourself pansy man ye little bitch CUNT!!!

  • woteva666666 I'm hurt by your comment...truly I am.

  • Nice

  • LOL wit u all da way

  • What I disagreed with most was you implying that 1) Foreman was not a great fighter and 2) because Ali's greatest victory (according to you) was over Foreman that somehow undermines Ali's achievements. Both assertions are plainly wrong and only someone ignorant of the sport would imply such a thing.

  • anyway that comment was meant 4 sum1 who was saying that this foreman wouldv beat tyson! n i was pointing out y he wouldnt! n the only reason ali beat foreman was because foreman was a wild swinging chin high fighter

  • Frazier and Moore..u moron.

  • Moorer had make here a very good fight. But George Foreman is too much Foreman.

  • why when evander lose a fight its always some medical condition for the reason he lost?

  • Because he is a sore loser.

  • Teddy is the greatest trainer of the modern era !

  • George Foreman's knockout punch on Moorer split his mouthguard and pushed a tooth through his lip, so yeah.. it was a pretty heavy punch.

  • Teddy Atlas rules.

  • agreed - Atlas is awesome

  • I wish Atlas was my boxing coach that inspired me!!!! when he was like do you wanna switch places do you want me to fight for you !!! hell That dude would have a flyweight KO a heavy lol!

  • do you want me to change places with you? get em teddy!!

  • what a load of crap. He got hit by a hit flush by Foreman with all of Foreman's legendary power. Big George was a real champion. TWICE!

  • yea Moorer is the one who brought that out of teddy because moorer was sooo damn lazy, its his fault that atlas was the star after that fight, Atlas was the star for pounding it into him, If he diddnt have atlas he wouldnt have won

  • 03:36 is that an assault rifle?

  • haha i think it is holy shit lol

  • if moorer had oliver mccalls chin he may have never lost... he had sooooo much fucking power... my dream fight was to see morrison vs moorer....two of my all time favs...

  • Moorer would've trashed Morrison and KO'd him in about 8 one-sided rounds.

  • yeah ok bro...moorer aint got the chin to withstand tommys fire power...be similar to what tua did too him

  • Yeah, well Tommy also had a bad chin and has shit stamina. Moorer can punch if he wanted to.

  • either way morrison and moorer are my two all time favorite heavyweights...i think tommy had a better chin and more power but he usually had his problems with southpaws...hipp gave tommy alot of trouble...if i could have ever made one fight happen besides morrison and tyson it would have been tommy and michael...sick ass fight.

  • Morrison and Moorer would been a short fight. Whoever gets hit good first falls and doesn't get up. Neither one had a chin to speak of.

  • ¿Is Moorer Lefty?.

  • yes

  • Moorer was a great light heavy.
