Just because it is a desert does not mean that it doesn't get cold.

Also, scarfs are often used in the desert to keep sand out of one's ears, nose, mouth, and eyes when the wind kicks up. They really are quite useful.

You need to throw it with a slight downward angle or it will float off like it did for you. If you've got enough hight to begin with and your angle is fairly decended, it will go on and on (until it stops spinning at wich time it will fade)

most throws start to float after awhile, the spin and force just goes to shit. So no, it only matters a bit if he's that elevated, because the force of the frisbee deteriorates and stops moving completely after awhile, and just drops.
