Here in Norway, many people are fond of Irish culture and folk music. I think the reason is that we also for centuries were ruled by an imperialistic neighbour (Denmark), and that we therefore have developed a strong feeling of national pride similar to that of the Irish.
We became independent in 1905, and I hope that all of Ireland will be one day as well.
People always seem to forget the fact that Unionists were Irish patriots as much as any Nationalist men.. They fought, and died for what in there idea was the best future for Ireland and her people.. In fact it were the Croats and Muslims who started the war in Bosnia and Croatia, and even if they didn't all of what happened was fueled by the crimes second WW, and even before.
