sounds like those are early DC-3 engines. the early DC-3s had Pratt & Whitney R-1820 wasps. the C-47 and later DC-3s had Curtiss-Wright R-1830 Cyclones.

Oil collects in the bottom of the engine when it is down. This causes
the oil smoke when it starts.

Those spark plugs should be cleaned I guess when looking at the oily exhaust fumes....

Amazing start-up. The turboprops starting up are nowhere near as exciting to watch as a piston prop starting up.
