Ortan just IS a great Heel. Sure he can pull face but the really shines when he is a champ or just hounding down a legend or anything of the sort. Going crazy, stalking, waiting for a punt or an RKO. And then just barking at you.

Edge can also play the insanity well, and he can REALLY sell his build up for the spear, but Randy just keeps bringing new levels of aggression in his moves.

Orton is a heel that you love to hate. Kinda like when Cena was a heel. Orton plays his character very well and he gets the appropriate crowd reactions to suit his character. Unlike a certain face who is a champion and STILL gets booed to the point that WWE has to edit and dub crowd reactions for that certain wrestler on TV.

I would not be surprised at all with the rate that Orton is improving if he reaches levels of Hogan status somewhere down the line and he begins to defy the status of Heel or face and just have most of the crowd behind him at all times.
